@Lmangla Thanks sweetie! :kiss_wink:

I adore the James Bond franchise! I have watched every single movie. Most of them twice :joy:

My favorite James Bond movies are:

1) On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)

This is the only movie Aussie actor George Lazenby was featured in and it’s the only Bond movie that has more emotional depth than Bond movies normally have.

It’s a movie where we get to know why James Bond has chosen to stay single for the time being (50 years so far…)

And it’s a movie where we have a super cool female lead - one that even James Bond can’t dupe… :glasses:

2) A View to a Kill (1985)

Roger Moore is hands down my favorite Bond! He made the role funny with his cheeky humor.

But the reason why I love this movie so much is because of the main villain Max Zorin played by the iconic Christopher Walken. :kiss_wink:

Mr Walken knows how to play a scary but charming villain

3) License to Kill (1989)

Despite Timothy Dalton not being my fave Bond, his movie License to Kill is probably plot-wise the best James Bond movie ever made.

As a movie, its plot and acting is interesting. It’s not a typical Bond movie and that’s what makes the film so neat.

ooh, there are some movie franchises that are more fun because of who you watched it with. definitely can bring back memories.

I have read many Bond novels but I don't remember Quantum or Spectre or skyfall.

I think those 3 weren't based on any books? at least I vaguely remember reading something to that effect. I never read the books but there were other spy writers that I had read such as John Le Carre, Tom Clancy....

Unfortunately I can’t tell you that because that would be giving out major spoilers… :emmm:

Let’s just say that On Her Majesty’s Secret Service has a unique plot that other James Bond movies don’t have.
We also get a sneak peek into who James Bond is behind his flashy womanizing exterior.

We get to experience that James Bond also has feelings and is a human being….

I know most people don’t watch this particular film because of the fact that JB is played by the unknown George Lazenby. But it is really worth watching it if you want to see another side of Mr Bond… :kiss_wink:

And yes, the movie will explain certain references made in later films, like Casino Royale

ah okay; I put down 10 movies which I clearly remember watching -- so basicallly pierce brosnan and later. I have watched bits and pieces of old movies whenever there is a marathon on some movie channel but I can't tell which ones they are. basically I would watch the movie well after it started and then fall asleep as it was close to my bedtime and didn't watch the ending either. so who knows what I watched. hahahahah....

@Lmangla - I guess I stay in Kdrama land for too long, I almost forgot the James bond movies series. Thanks for the tag.

I only watched James bond 1 or 2 movies from two of my favorite actors Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan. To me, two of them are so charming, the older they are, the more charming they are. Just like Richard Gere, some how some people just have that irresistible charm. Wine tastes better with age....hahaha

I wanted to watch an old movie by Roger Moore and Jane Seymour, "Live and Let Die" (1973) , but not sure where to find it? I wish to watch it because of my favourite actress, Jane Seymour. She looks like the british actress, Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Roger Moore and Jane Seymour, "Live and Let Die" (1973) - see below

Jane Seymour with Christopher Reeve in old classic love movie - "Somewhere in time" (1980)

Jane Seymour - she is in my all time favourite photo album - Somewhere in Time with fantastic sound track.

hahaha im going to watch this movie tonight then...

your review made it too interesting to miss out on it!

as for me, i only saw pierce brosnan and daniel craig as bonds.

I suppose for me I like the movies, but I'm not a huge fan, as the premise is rather simple, and I'm not a movie aficionado, unlike series/dramas.

Though I must say that Casino Royale was a movie in which I laughed out several times :D

I think I have seen about 20 of them?!? I like DC, Sean, then PB but totally am open for a new Bond, hopefully a POC next! All this said, Spectre was terrible lol so I am worried about this new one hahah. Casino Royale and Skyfall were the best recent ones, but I grew up in the 90’s and watched them all - they had the best OST songs.

Pierce Brosnan. Pierce BROSNAN. PIERCE BROSNAN! how many ways to say Pierce Brosnan!!

He's Pierce Brosnan, one of the men who are part of my awakening in my teenage years (along with Devon Sawa, River Phoenix, JTT and other guys I thought were hunks) so he's definitely my favourite. I wish he had done more movies in the franchise.....

James Bond married in a book, I think in Moonraker- I read his books long ago when my older sisters were crazy and buying up available titles.

Spoiler

The woman's name was Solitaire or Tiffany which was supposed to be classy at that time. She was killed at the end during an attempt on his life. They were going on honeymoon or somewhere.
