Wow, such a wild imagination from a HB fangirl, you wrote as if you were SYJ, so you know when she started watching HB's work. Are you going to publish a fanfiction about BinJin.

 

HB and SYJ said in a video in Sep 2018 (1 year before Swoon Compliment in Oct 2019) that they watched a lot of each other's works.

 

HB also said that "YES, WE ARE CLOSE" since Sep 2018.

 

Moreover, they did Swoon Compliment when THEY ARE ALREADY A COUPLE (our observation), so I'm not surprised if both HB and SYJ digged deeper into each other's works. Just like HB watched SITR and collected a cloverleaf (Be With You inspiration). They are both passionate actors, so their couple conversations definitely involve a lot about their works.

How much happier can this ship get! This forum is nearing its one year anniversary as well as 2000 pages is fast approaching.   How can I express my gratitude to you @cybertron for starting this thread to back in July 25, 2019. on your  belief of HB and SYJ.  You should be proud of the thread you started and believed in.  I have come across some postings where someone said many people have left this thread.  It makes me sad because this has been a very happy place for me- starting my day knowing I can get the best information about the two most inspiring people in the world. from the best shippers in the world! 

 

When i first came across this forum , it was because of a post from someone whose name I forgot I am so sorry-  she used to be an Indian entertainment reporter and told her story about how she became a BinJin shipper.  She mirrored my experience and because of her I instantly registered on Soompi using my real name, a huge risk considering this is the age of google, but it is what it is and I will strive to be a responsible shipper.  So to this poster, If you are still on here please DM me or tag me on here as I want to thank you.

I even wrote in certain parts that she either researched, watched it with him, or knows his works really well. I'm well aware of that interview you posted and I KNOW that they have always followed each other's works. That wasn't the point of my analysis. The point of my analysis was that the works she chose to reference of HB's were two works that were very obscure and that only true HB fans who closely follow his work OR someone who was close to him would have these kinds of conversations. There are quite a few coincidences between the two works she references in relation to CLOY. Also, for HB to share that "I Am Happy" is his favorite role and then YJ also reference that he is most like his character in "I am Happy" shows that she is VERY familiar with his work. No where did I make a timeline nor did I say that the works she referenced in the Swoonies videos were the only times that she talked about or watched his work. Also, I NEVER said that HB doesn't also follow her work. I very clearly stated that they BOTH mutually respect and admire each other's works. For how long, I don't know. I never claimed to that my theories were fact, I'm analyzing based on what I observe and know about HB's works. I do INDEED have a wild imagination, it's required as a writer and I'm pretty darn proud of this imagination because that's how I keep my BinJin shipping FUN and I get to write creative works that shippers in this forum really enjoy reading so thank goodness for my delulu writer's/proud HB fangirl mind then.  I have ALWAYS cited my sources and stated disclaimers that everything I write is based on my own observations and opinions and based on what I know from being a 15-year HB fan. If you would like to dissect his two works,  "Ireland" and "I Am Happy" that she mentioned because you interpret them differently, then that's fine. But telling me things I already know isn't much of a critique, especially since it seems like you didn't grasp the entirety and main points of my writing. But yes, they are both passionate actors so of course they discuss a lot of their work. But you also have no absolute proof that she ISN'T a HB fangirl either.   Good day.

Actually, no, I'm far too busy with nursing school learning how to save people's lives so I don't have time to write BinJin fanfic as of right now. I'm also more of a poem, short-story, and blog writer. If I were to write fanfic, I'd write about RiRi and not BinJin because they're NOT a fictional couple as fan "fiction" would imply. Also, thank you for FURTHER proving my point that HB and SYJ were close since 2018. I'm not sure how that disproves my point that they're close in the Swoonies video 2 years later. If anything, they're even closer so thanks for strengthening my point that they continue to love and support each other since 2018 and counting. Way to go, BinJin! Ya know what, I should venture into writing a movie script for BinJin to star in. That would be kill 2 birds with 1 stone! I'd get to delulu about them AND see them onscreen together again. Hmm..ideas, ideas. Good thing my WILD IMAGINATION is still running!  Gonna make it RAINNN with the BinJin content! We gonna be RICH during any drought!

This to me, tells me that Jinnie was a fan of Binnie’s before he was even the Hyun Bin mega Hallyu star we know now. She was truly one of the OG HB fans before it was even cool, before most of the world even found out about him.

Anyways, since am not a hard core fan of HB and YJ, just a staunch BinJin loyalist , after watching Compliment me and all swoon interviews, with YJ's banters, subtle humors, yet a 'million-dollar-truth-beneathe-scam', i really felt her sincerity when she said she is a fan of HB Oppa. The movies/dramas she mentioned were from long ago. It just gave me some 'i-know-i-loved-you-before-i-met-you' feels. She s d queen of games, but wat she confessed was more than winning over HB in the game/compliment me. I totally agree with you @RiRiGaGa. She loved him from the scratch. Oh, may be not love, but when people hasnt set their eyes on that hunkie oppa, there she was...appreciating the rawest piece of his art. 

Maybe she thought, she might not have the chance to win his heart, to be loved and admired back by the actor whom she followed since....but nevertheless, she invested admiration, appreciation for him. Work-wise, it seems he is her ideal professional, but in a personal level, he reached her heart thru his portrayals and his very being. 

My intuition may not be right, but i feel.... her knowing of HB from almost 2 decades ago (thru hs projects), is telling me he sees something in HB beyond just being HB. I really dnt question and am not looking for more receipts of them, but seeing proofs daily is a bonus. I just love their love. We keep reminding each other here not to expect too much... The price of being a shipper... They dnt owe me my trust in them. It is me choosing to believe in them. Just like YJ seeing HBs worth by mere watching his movies from the beginning, here comes i, believing in them from what i see in their most unguarded moments.

The thing about SYJ fanatics here is that they LOVE to talk about what a desirable goddess she is and dwell on how lucky HB is that she would even entertain his obsession with her. Well he is lucky. But guess what? So is she. She’s very lucky to have met such a perfect match and I bet you she knows it too  He is her fanboy and she is his fangirl - don’t let that second part upset you so much 

 

@RiRiGaGa BRAVO. I’ve never watched Ireland or I Am Happy so the revelations you made are both eye opening and heart fluttering  I do also think that unlike couples who fall for each other’s charactera on the set of romantic dramas, our Binjin fell for their real selves. This set such a more solid foundation for them to build on.

One fan meeting he hinted he was going to be cast and be playing a bi polar character and that it was coming out soon. however, it wasnt till like a year later the announcement came out

I'm just lurking because I don't have any significant contribution to the thread. All our awesome writers here and partner sponsors (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, other SNS creative team) have been laying the groundwork for us to consume and enjoy in preparation for drought. 

 

No offense but I've seen more reminders about spamming to save space, PLEASE hear this cry. We don't want to finish all the 2000 pages before we hear the special announcement from our OTP.

 

Putting on my Analyst hat, since I first posted on March 2 at page 271, we've posted at an average of 5.96 pages per day. With this rate, we''ll only last roughly 6 months until we reach that 2000 pages limit. That is even before Christmas. Don't we love to have a place where we can discuss when we receive another Christmas card this year

      While this is a shipping thread, in my opinion some ppl are being way over the top and delusional in their analysis and making these two out to be secret lifetime fanboys/fangirls for each other. The reality is that that Swoon video was a game to see if the other person could tell if the compliment was written by a fan or by SYJ or HB. SYJ LITERALLY says at 6:51, "I thought you would never know I wrote this if I mentioned the OST" , and then at 6:55 she says "I searched the internet" when HB accuses her of getting help from staff writing the comment.

      Let's be real, she likes HB (hopefully more than a friend) but she probably chose Ireland because its a older piece of work that didn't get too much attention like SG or MNIKSS and thus, making it more likely that he wouldn't remember the OST or any specific details. Also, later in the interview they both say they are bad at math and couldnt tell how old the "fan" is in the present day. Another advantage to SYJ (who are we've repeatably established is v competitive), as it will push HB to choose another comment and let her win the game (assuming she guessed the correct comment). 

Also, she was probably able to say those three films very fast because 1. she was in one (Negotiation), 2. she went to the premiere of another (Rampant), and 3. the film was very successful the year it came out and it marked a successful comeback for HB who had been struggling post enlistment + had her friend Yoona in it (Confidential Assignment).

The "I am Happy" comment was funny though because the question for HB was if any characters he played were similar to him. He plays a mental patient in "I am Happy" LOL. It's a melodrama and since SYJ is known as a melodrama queen I'm not surprised she's seen or heard of it. 

They're cute together but I doubt they are exposing themselves as secret super fans and I seriously doubt SYJ is gonna expose herself like that during a professional interview. Like what? lol Sorry to punch holes in some fan theories and I'm sure some fans on here are gonna be butt hurt and tell me to leave the forum if I'm not a die hard delusion shipper but over delulu-ness is exhausting when the analysis gives the same vibes as certain twitter threads that have authoritative tones that suggests HB was a playboy before he met SYJ but everything changed after they met (these tweets have hundreds of likes or retweets).  

Here's to keeping it 100% real and not turning into a member of another ship that can't let the past go and needs to create ties and connections where there likely are none.

i have to agree.For me they are obviously a couple but i doubt that they will ever expose themselves in a promotion show that is gonna be watched by a lot of people.And honestly i dont understand why people put too much meaning to HB's handwritten letter or the recent Dispatch article(lol they are not that deep and they wont waste their time trying to find ways tease fans or hint at sth else)
