Binjin is really interesting couple.. I couldnt imagine that 2-3 years past yet people still talking or went back discussing excitedly the time frame of the Negotiation era,  the Grocery shopping in LA..the CLOY swoon publicity and the Press Conferences..It is all over again in instagram, facebook and twitter including this thread...I enjoy reading every detail of fans comments but our BINJIN's thread is the best..Just enjoy this shipping and in God's grace, the goal will eventually reach its destination..I love reading all your insights co-shippers...

Just my 2 cents worth and trying to stick to the facts only now:

They were seen  grocery shopping and documented, thanks to a quick Taiwanese (?) fan. Their agencies finally acknowleged this by saying that SYJ was indeed in the US, alone, as she often is when she travels.  HB's agency responded that he was in the US at that time due to personal affairs.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, it could be a coincidence, right? Then when each found out that they were both in LA, they decided to meet up. All totally plausible.

Now here goes the scrutinous portion:

I have travelled to the US myself on several occasions, both business and pleasure, both alone and with family. When alone, I do seek out friends living in the area. When finding out that a friend is also around in the same area, yes, I may end out meeting up with him too, why not?

The scenario when meeting up with friends who live in LA (such as the case here), it would likely be at their homes, a welcome dinner. If not, for sure at a restaurant, certainly more convenient rather than entertaining me in their homes. 

Now if I do find out that a friend is also visiting LA at the same time and we would like to hook up, the obvious answer would just be to share coffee, drinks or a meal, in  coffee shop, bar or a restaurants, right?

Granted that they are celebrities and might not really relish being spotted in a hip LA joint, then the grocery was an option?? Jinjja? But why did they buy so much and for whom?

And that I think is why IN GROCERY WE TRUST!

In SYJ's thread..people said that she always posts pics from her bday.. But that year was an exception. I mean although their agency denied on 10th..she could have easily quashed all the rumours by posting a bday pic with her supposed other acquaintances. She showed that she is not bothered after the grocery sighting and posted  that pic near ralphs on 26th Jan . Similarly she could have done the same thing  for her bday on 11th Jan. But I guess she was busy celebrating with a certain someone whom she can't name..

 

HB's agency said that he went for post drama and other business related work but he was seen all alone at the airport pushing all the luggages. Isn't your manager supposed to accompany you??

Everytime I think about these points from various angles, I always come to the same conclusion that they didn't meet coincidentally..They were together for the entire time.. But they got busted and came out with probable reasons just how YSR was making new scenarios when Paparazzi caught them hugging in the hospital..

 i also want to highlight that those photos are golden and strong proof (ie, object evidence with a lot of weight) of the 3 separate alleged sightings: the golfing together, the lunch together with older couple/SYJ parents, and grocery shopping itself. 

 

First note that the photos themselves were never denied (how can they, it's "res ipsa loquitur" --the thing speaks for itself!), so to me that's clear and convincing, uncontroverted evidence... it's the surrounding circumstances on why they were seen in LA together (spontaneous meetup between close friends+acquaintances) which their agencies tried to spin (and failed miserably).
 

Second, those same photos also support/confirm the earlier reported sighting of golfing and having lunch somewhere in US because to my mind these stories were too specific to be made up by anyone. Of all the places in the world that the "gossiper" can think of why US or LA? and how can those concocted sightings be so accurately close to the place and date when the confirmed grocery sighting happened.. Based on human experience, that is not how a false rumor works. Unfortunately no korean media confronted their agencies of their inconsistent denials, they could have been caught by their mouths.
 

Third, you are correct @eLizza if a rumor has already exploded just weeks prior, it doesnt make sense to risk being seen again, unless they got complacent and over-confident the rumor was quelled... and since they were already there in the middle of their 2 or 3 week escapade together, it would be a total waste to cancel plans or just stay at home.. again this supports our common knowledge of SYJ planning her travels well.

 

Fourth, about the claim HB was traveling there for business reason, was there any project or business deal that was subsequently publicized as a result of that trip? Again the timing is weird considering it was a foreign business trip too near to MOTA wrap up. If its for a korean brand or SK-based project, why does he have to be bothered by an urgent long out of country trip, why not do the business deal in SK? If its for a foreign brand or an international project, which one is this specifically? why no project/promotions confirmed or made in US or LA that came out during the succeeding months, and why would HB be all alone, does he have local team there... or did detective shippers just fail to investigate this further? Pls DM me if there was in fact a project made at this time that can be attributed to this trip...
 

Anyhoo even with all these unresolved questions, i feel no remorse towards them two cuz at the end of it all we know they were merely protecting each other. Im willing to turn a blind eye because ultimately i see their happiness (which in turn makes us happy), is all worth the craziness of their illogical denials. I wanted to share this brief part from a past HB interview. It's been shared in this thread before because I remember seeing it when back-reading, but I don't remember what page it was!

I wanted to provide my translation because even though the subtitles are pretty decent, there are 2 parts that have been translated inaccurately. The first one is when they translated a word as "insensitive," rather than "arrogant," and the second one is when they translated "I will take care of the people I love" instead of "If there is someone I like, I will only look in her direction." I think the translator tried to capture the essence of what he's saying, whereas I am going with a more literal translation. The con to the way I do it is that it doesn't always flow well, but the pro is that there is a bit more accuracy in the words/phrases he uses.

HB: Mmm... I would say, I'm not as arrogant (or snobby) and selfish as he is. But when it comes to love, I think there are similarities. If there is someone I like, similar to Joo-Won, I will only look in her direction (The Korean phrase, 한 방향,  literally translates to, "han (one) bang-hyang (direction). This can also be translated as having a one-track mind). 

Interviewer: Your character in Secret Garden, expresses his romance for the female character in his own unique way. So can you share with us... what is the most romantic thing you've ever done for your loved one? 

HB: No, I haven't done anything particularly special... But if she has an interest or wants something...even if she says it in passing, I'll try to keep it in mind. And when there's a special occasion, I tend to remember those things and gift it to her.

Truly the real life RJH, who remembered things YSR said in passing. I think that this might be one of the things that SYJ was won over by... how well he remembered things she wanted or was interested in, and she probably felt extremely cared for by his attentiveness and thoughtfulness. I think I remember someone mentioning that him flying to LA for her birthday was a huge act of showing his love for her... I completely agree. Maybe that's something she mentioned in passing before, and he remembered.

I just wanna drop in quickly in this main thread and said a few things...it’s clear that some people are rarely on this thread anymore because of a few reasons.

 

Firstly,it’s getting really annoying when a certain users spamming and repeating the same thing over and over again without being considerate at all that this is a forum which if it reached 2000 pages,apparently it will get archived.There’s a lot of important information from earlier pages that we could’ve not seen anymore just because of the spamming.If you want to have a repeated discussion or back to back replies,please do it on a platform like Twitter or Instagram or try private DM.I’ve seen people from other platform even complained about this issue and it’s also the reason some of them doesn’t want to be active in this forum anymore.I could tag and point out a certain one right now but I’m pretty sure you know who you are.

Yes,it’s normal for a new shipper to be excited but please be considerate of others too.If this gets any worse,maybe the people who felt the same way about this can come together and report the users.

 

Secondly,solo stans of HB and SYJ.There’s a separate forum for you guys in Soompi.You make it seems as if HB and YJ are in competition whether it’s about achievement or who’s the richest...please stop.The only people who deserves to be here are the people who atleast equally appreciates both HB and YJ.It’s called BinJin forum for a reason.I know this forum is so popular right now and thats why you’re here but it’s still a shipping forum.It’s fine to give updates of HB and YJ solo activities but I’ve seen some of you take it to another level.

 

Thirdly,I’m not sure whether it’s the people in this forum that also own another account on Twitter or Instagram but sometimes it gets uncomfortable when comments from here are reposted to another platform.I mean if they clearly clarify it as if it’s harmless assumption and opinion it’s all good but when they make it seems as if it’s really serious just because it came from a soompi forum well...I just wanna say we’re all in the same boat here...It’s all just good assumption coming from fans perspective not an expert perspective.

 

Lastly,I’ve said these on my previous posts a couple of times too but I just want to remind everyone again to be a responsible shippers that includes by not over analyzing things and tagging official accounts since I still see people who does that on Instagram.I know YJ liking BinJin posts makes you want to get noticed too but please Atleast minimized it.I had a feeling she was liking posts at that time too because she was trying to make a point.This ship is getting more popular day by day...I don’t think it will slow down anytime soon and those bad apples of this fandom will for sure appear here and there...that’s why I want to keep reminding everyone to ship responsibly.I think we’re in a state where we’re just waiting for the big announcement so let’s step back abit and give them space.

Working together for almost two months, do you see similar or different working styles? I also wonder about your rapport with actor Hyun Bin.

I sensed it at the time of filming, but when I was scheduled to attend stages all over the country, I realized Hyun Bin is full of charms. Although there was an absurd rumor, but it never happened at all. It was with actor Kim Nam-gil, after taking two consecutive series, the movie "Pirates" and the drama "Shark", which led to a hot romantic rumor topic, but I had never been to a date so it didn’t make sense from thebeginning. I want to be in a real romantic rumor topic.

Ahh never before in history - Grocery cart creates heart flutters  Chincha I swear, everytime I see that cart my delulu mind goes on an overdrive.. remember that Taiwan TV program where they sat and analysed about BinJin, they dissected the grocery cart contents - Wine, chips/crisps, breakfast cereal. What does this say? You can figure out yourselves

 

Also coming back to his return from US on Jan 24th, I was reading on SYJ forum and they were reading comments online, someone said that people were joking that SYJ was hiding in one of the suitcases as there were too many suitcases for a single guy traveling alone and one was too big and that's why no one saw her returningto Korea.. hahaha.. some of these comments are too funny
