And I agree, social distancing has nothing to do with the facial expressions HB displayed. It just breaks my heart looking at SJY smiling at HB and HB not reciprocating her smile. Oh well, maybe he did a few times (he probably couldn't help it no matter how much he tried to avoid looking at her) but it looked like he was almost ignoring her at most times. Here are my "over-analyzation" about the "cold treatment" of HB towards SJY:

1. Their relationship levelled up to being just more than friends and broke up. HB's actions is saying he still has feelings for her and wouldn't act that cold if he doesn't. And because this event was important to both of them, they had to be there no matter how awkward it would get.( Crazy idea? Hmmm.. probably! So sad if this was the case).

 2. They are still in relationship but they are currently having relationship issues and HB just couldn't hide it. You can see a huge difference on how HB used to look at SJY if you saw the previous videos of them together in public where he was more shy, gentle, caring, and warm towards  SJY. During the awards night, he looked like he was intentionally ignoring her.He looked a bit sad, very stiff and awkward. Obviously, "something" is really going on between the two of them and you can only see this kind of scenarios (such as HB acting cold with SJY) to people with "more than friends" kind of relationship.

 3. HB was simply done with promotions, therefore, acting off-cam is just probably not his cup of tea.Just saying.( Hope not! This remains to be seen if their path ever crosses again).

 

So sad that my favourite couple who looked so powerful and perfect when they are together didn't show the chemistry that they used to have in that one most awaited event.They are for sure great in acting on-screen.I only started becoming a fan after I watched CLOY- the first Korean Drama that I watched and although I tried to watched other K-dramas, none of the current or even previous shows could match the chemistry and the level of  acting that they left in the show so I could not move on and would probably watch the drama for the 3rd time anytime soon while it's still on Netflix.They both definitely deserved to win the Best Actor/Best Actress Awards and the drama itself, the director, and the writer, and the whole team deserved a recognition.Hoping SJY will find her true love! She deserves someone who is not afraid to tell that world the he loves her!

 

Hello, not to sound rude or anything The fact that CLOY is the first K-drama you watched and the one that introduced you to K-ent means that you do not know yet how the industry works. Koreans value professionalism so much that any act that isn't in line with it is considered disrespectful. Even married couples don't display affection in front of the media. Take Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung, for example. They've been married for quite a long time now and they also have a child, but when they attended their friend's wedding (Ye Jin also went, too), they did not act lovey dovey at all. There was no clinging of arms and whatnot. They just posed for a picture and directly went inside the venue without holding hands even.

 

In the same way, BinJin were also being professional. They've been caught up in 3 dating rumors; they would not want to make headlines anew with their actions during BAA that could overshadow the entire event, the winners, and even the current situation that is COVID-19.

 

You see, K-Ent is VERY DIFFERENT from your country's show business. You have to primarily know how it works, so that you don't overanalyze things. As a long-time K-drama and K-Pop fan, I was not surprised with their actions, because IT IS VERY COMMON to be like that. I've seen a lot of artists (including SSC) acting that way. So yeah, here you go

 

ps. I think that they are in a serious relationship right now. Based on their previous interviews, both expressed how they want to settle down already. At their age (38 and 37), I think they're really considering marriage and family. (SJK hinted this too even way before their engagement news)

I am no expert, especially because I decided to de-lurk in this thread later than some, and all I do is provide translations here and there. But If you've read this thread from the beginning, there have been many shippers (old and new) that have already reiterated these things many times, but just wanted to offer some reminders again because it seems necessary. 
 

• If you're new, welcome! Please do your part in getting yourself acquainted with the rules of this forum, and I highly suggest that you do your best to back-read this thread, even though it's super long. First and foremost, it will help strengthen your faith in our ship, but you will also begin to see the pattern/cycle of what happens when trolls/antis come in to rock the boat. Also know that as frustrating as it can be, this pattern happens pretty often, so it's best to not let it get to you too much. 

   

• Trolls/antis usually consist of possessive fans (of either HB or SYJ), antifans, or other shippers who may feel jealous of this ship. You can simply click on their profile and see their posts from the past. Sometimes this might be their first post, and other times, you will be able to see their history and come to a conclusion of who they are. To the shippers from other ships that lurk here: Why spend time hating on another ship instead of loving your own ship? 
   
• The best thing to do with these trolls/antis: ignore them/starve them. They are clearly here to seek negative attention and cause dissension. The more we engage, the more they will retaliate and take up precious space in this thread. Just a reminder that this thread gets archived after reaching 2000 pages, and how awful would it be if many of the pages consisted of people arguing. There is an "ignore user" button, so I'd use that with people who consistently come in here to cause havoc. I know there are times we can't help but to respond, and sometimes I actually support it and find it necessary as well, but please, let's be wise and discerning. This thread has been locked due to these types of fights, and we don't want that to happen again. You can always DM that person, which I've done in the past with certain people. 
   
• As some of you recent posters have brought up, there are definitely a number of delusional fangirls that have slighted SYJ, and I know that it's difficult to refrain from speaking up in her defense... But let me offer another side with an example... there were times when SYJ fans would retaliate and compare SYJ and HB's accomplishments to show that she's superior and because of that, there have been HB fans that left this ship. FYI, there's nothing wrong with posting their individual achievements and posts dedicated to just one of them (SYJ's insta posts, HB's CFs, or their acheivements), but when it becomes a competition or a way to retaliate against the other, that's when it crosses the line. I know you can point fingers and say the other side started it, but when there are people who come in to cause division here by pitting one of them against the other or putting the other person down, the solution is not to retaliate or else it causes a deeper division/rift resulting in bitterness. As Martin Luther King once said, you cannot drive out hate with hate. You may lean towards first being a SYJ fan or a HB fan, but both SYJ and HB have proven that they are more than worthy of our love, and the best way we can defend them is to be respectful to them and each other, and not stoop to the level of these haters. BinJin themselves are not defined by their delusional fans, so let's not forget why we are here. 
   
• Reiterating others here, but let's be responsible shippers. One's that have a thicker skin and are not tossed to and fro by every single thing. They don't owe us anything, and it's our choice to support them. I know a lot of things are in good fun, but some shippers already pointed out that things that are said here are taken and posted on other social media outlets. So lets be realistic about our expectations and try not to post things that is clearly an invasion of their privacy or can harm their reputations.. ones that they've spent many years building. This is an example from the past, but I think it is disrespectful to post that they started liking each other in 2017, when HB was still dating his ex. Sure, you can personally think that... but as much as we would like to fantasize about certain aspects of their relationship, that puts both of them in a very bad light. Also, it pains me when I see shippers on social media making comments on personal accounts being aggressive or being extra delusional. Please remember that even though BinJin are not defined by these types of fans, they are still somewhat representing them to the public. 

Anyway, this is getting very long and I may have missed some things, but bottom line is, let's strive towards unity here... in our love for BinJin and also in our approach to haters. I haven't really posted my thoughts since translating for Baeksang, but it was awesome to see so many people provide awesome insights about our couple. They could just attend the BAA, except the trophy, continue their life  and ignoring us but they don’t! Keep saying we are this we are that, wearing the  same brand with macthing colours, took a pic with one trophy. SYJ posted a flowers from her fans intead of the trophy,  thanking us and acknowledge our effort.

Just like many new shippers here who just came out, I myself became a lurker for more than a month before actually registering. This was brought about by my curiosity of BinJin's real and real chemistry.

 

Since I've decided to join the ship, I took it upon myself to contribute for the betterment of this ship. I hope new members do the same. Actually I would appreciate if you post positive comments, and not just nitpick. Please remember that we live by the day with the crumbs BinJin gave us. Before Baeksang awards, we were in drought for a long time but still we survived. With the new contents, thanks to BAA, it will get us by until who knows when they will reappear together. If you still starve, please go to page 1. InGroceryWeTrust is a motto to get back to as this is ultimate receipt that shoppers have been holding on.

 

Our main goal is to see this ship reach its final destination but as to where and when, it is a question only our OTP can answer.

They have a lot of mutual friends and colleagues which was why my guess was maybe we were suppose to meet before but they were both busy or had other reasons not to meet up over those years. YoonA worked on Confidential Assignment with HB. They both gave acting advice to her. This was before they were confirmed for TN. So her Cinderella group/YoonA may have talked about him a lot during 2015-2016 period before they were both confirmed for the film. Plus he was apparently in talks to star in other projects with her before but he didn't take them either lol. Who knows his reason whether it was work related or personal lol.

Lol to the people who keep on saying that HB was cold towards YJ and even calling SYJ being "friendzoned" by HB. Aren't you aware of the pandemic happening around the world? The event calls for social distancing. What do you expect BinJin to do there? Get lovey dovey and ignore the precautionary measures given by the event? It's a formal event, a gathering that honors directors, writers, and actors and actresses. Both Bin and Jin are not the type of people to make such event about them. All the people in the event probably know about their dating rumors, hence, the cautious actions from SYJ and HB. It's funny though, I find SYJ being more extra careful than HB. And one evidence was when she checked on HB for half a second when they were on stage as if she would get arrested by doing so. So funny but cute at the same time. 

 

I know haters would argue that there were people who walked arm in arm, even arrived on the red carpet together, but nah, they are not BinJin and they don't have any dating scandal. I'm pretty sure both HB and SYJ are aware that any skinship from them will create buzz not just among the shippers, but all over the world. Japan is even reporting their LA pics that happened a year ago, the Philippines keeps on reporting about the two and can't move on from their chemistry, and even JTBC calling them a couple. 

 

HB has publicly expressed his concerns for this pandemic, SYJ, too. So I am not expecting any confirmation from them anytime soon. Both are considerate people and we should respect their privacy as well. It's so clear to me that they have something precious to them to protect. And we should respect that. 

 

Speaking of privacy and respect, we should refrain from commenting and flooding their friends, their agency, and all the people around them with comments about BinJin. Please, HB stylist even turned off her Instagram comments because it was flooded by comments from shippers. Also, some shippers tend to overanalyze things sometimes. Example, the car, both stylists following each other on SNS. Please guys, these things should be discussed privately as these are assumptions. Pretty sure, we all don't want another denial from V@st. If I am SYJ or HB I would hate it if anything I do or anything about me will be given a different meaning just because that's what people wanted to see. So let's all ship responsibly please. 

 

Last thing, for all the haters of this ship especially for the fangirls who can't accept SYJ makes their oppa happy, you all are already "fanzoned" by HB since 2018! Just saying...

I wrote it on page 814. Basically when they got up from their seats. I realized that SYJ didn't know how to get to the stage which was why he had to hand gesture to her twice and give her a slight head nod at the last hand gesture when she asked him the question 

 

I also now realized at these moments how they looked at each other now and how they literally did the same gesture by touching their mouth. WHAT  Gosh love how they keep mirroring and we don't need to actually fully see it happen to know lol

We know she was already looking at her base on the picture above. We are just missing his full head turn towards her. So they clearly had a moment before she turned her head facing back to the stage hahaa. And the way they got SYJ on camera it looks like she just turned her head back to the stage lol.

You should watch the whole event again because you missed a lot! Maybe you're not very good with details? And that's ok. Watch again with more knowledge of Baeksang Awards and Covid and the event, and then you will understand them better and be able to see the warmth and teamwork. Their ship is SO steady and caalllmmmm! You'll feel better. It's just your inexperience. BinJin magic lives on! We all see it!!!!

People have been bombarding her comment section since she posted that picture with him on December in Swiss .  Since then she stopped posting regularly until she posts now once a month and if . Her decline in being active on instagram is related to these comments. 

There is a huge amount of pressure that I’m afraid we already placed upon them . We cannot have any expectations from them. It’s their life not ours . Part of me wants to school these people but I can’t even post knowing it will backfire and it’s always a chance she will see it. We need to spread the message across SNS that these type of comments are inappropriate and they shouldn’t exist .

 

These people including SYJ use the platform for communication , promotion of their work and strangers go and post such inappropriate comments . And we allow this to happen. Facebook and twitter can be managed - Instagram cannot , because she is active indeed. She said so herself so proudly . Good thing HB is MIA on SNS , maybe SYJ needs to hand over her account to a team and breath fresh air and have a break from the toxicity .
