Hi sister. Sorry sis if i quote you this. Its just that we have to remind each other as we are still in one big ship sailing smoothly and occasionally we do encounter some waves that blow and  toss us in some ways. However, with God who is with us all along we can manage to calm every stormy weather and continue sailing again. Anyways we value and read every opinions here but pls try to stay calm.

 

On serious note***Its wise to say that the more we are longing for BinJin to anchor to that destination the bad are also busy looking for something just to stop anchoring our ship. This BINJIN fan's jaw was left hanging while reading all the exchanges earlier. I don't know what to feel. It made me sad, angry and frustrated all at once. Whatever happened to the shipper's demeanor? I know shipping is hard but it felt like I was in the middle of a brewing fan war. I didn't sign up for that. Guys, I just want proof of BINJIN love that's why I come here regularly. I like the candies. I don't mind getting bits of achievements of these 2 once in a while as long as it contributes to the end goal. And make every comment respectful. Please. Gosh. I even read comments like....nevermind. It seems today's happening really got me upset and sad. All I am saying is, this is supposed to be a haven for those who love BINJIN new and old alike. Let's keep it that way.

For sure, someone endured your excitements when you were starting out and didn't say anything. Please try to get the message across as polite as possible.

 

New shippers, read the rules please. Getting access here and being new is not an excuse for not knowing what and whatnot to do or say. We can only use that card once or twice. If you're here and constantly violate these rules and cause this forum to be suspended I'd rather you stay as a lurker.

I like to discuss about SYJ’s dating preferences/ her IG posts.

 

Video 1: have you ever wondered why SYJ acted so cool/ calm in front of HB’s gentleman gestures. She did not even look at him at all or was not surprised with his actions either.
 

Video 2/ IG posts: she wanted to test him how much he was willing to go beyond his limit for her in public. Are you ready to do something very special for me to show your interests in me in public.

 

Video 3: he was willing to praise her, wanted to act with her to breath the same air, looked at her eyes... Again he did something that he has never done before in public for her.

 

SYJ still acted cool because she used to be treated that way in public before, so she will not set the bar lower for HB. She wants her man to show his interests and admiration for her in public. For her, that is the “public test” that HB needed to pass to gain her trust before she is willing to open her heart for him.
 

So, they were spotted playing golfs together after HB’s passed trial, then the LA trip and the rest is history.

The nearly-war of words: Thank you to shippers for stepping back from prolonged arguments. Strong views come from caring deeply about BJ. I am a middling shipper (joined somewhere around pg 300), so I’d like to think I have some idea of where senior shippers and newbies are coming from when I read the recent posts and thought to set out some of those views here in the hope for greater understanding:

 

Where senior shippers are coming from:

 

·         Many questions raised lately have already been discussed at length in earlier pages. Newbies would find this thread more satisfying if you back-read this thread as there’s gold there. A little homework goes a long way.

 

·         Some speculations are fanciful and some are downright dangerous e.g. pregnancy talk. We have discussed how K-ent vilifies co-actors who pursue their personal relationships during filming because it is regarded as unprofessional. So if we persist in pregnancy chatter, what does it say of SYJ’s ‘conduct” during CLoY filming? Worse, if this chatter continues, it could go viral on social media, forcing SYJ’s agency to issue a denial of everything, including any relationship with HB. Does any one of us here want to see another denial? It would be devastating.

 

·         Soompi rules – these rules enable discussions to remain relevant and are the condition for membership here. Example, sharing info on HB or SYJ in a post is inevitable but if a posting is mostly about one of them, then a better place would be the actor’s individual thread, rather than this BJ thread. To quote YSeri – “If we stay within the boundaries, there is no need for war”.

 

Where newbies are coming from:

 

·         They are seeking a happy place to celebrate this couple. Seniors shippers, they are like you when you first started shipping, gleeful and seeking freedom to dream about BJ (true, some dreams get pretty wild but those usually get set straight by other shippers). So, a little latitude please.

 

·         Don’t be a wet blanket: It’s quite discouraging to read how seniors don’t want to come into this thread anymore or how you don’t want to revisit the past and only focus on the present. There is very little current info on BJ coming out, so naturally newbies will look to things in the past. Surely you are not saying we should stop reviewing past bts, interviews etc and just wait for announcements? Sure, I too as a middler, sometimes take a deep breath and shake my head at some of the posts but overall, it’s a cheery place and we can all help keep it that way.

 

I hope I’ve not made enemies of both seniors and newbies with the above  but I’m writing this because we should appreciate each other: Senior shippers have worked very hard to give us the treasure chest of this thread and they have gallantly protected BinJin thus far; and newbies just want some happiness and hope.

 

I’ll conclude with this – some of you already know what a diehard BJ shipper I am and how fiercely I argue in favor of BinJin being real and I DO believe they are real BUT I never lose sight of the risks of shipping = something can happen at anytime that invalidates everything said in these 600+ pages, rendering us wrong and sinking this ship. That is the ultimate risk of shipping. Happy endings are not promised to us. There are no guarantees for the outcome we seek. However, there is so much that signals BJ are a couple and until HB/SYJ officially date other people, there is plenty of room for hope and I continue to root for them. That’s what keeps me going!

 

@Binjin2Ri I felt your heartache and worry over those comments by the 2 Korean girls. They were personal opinions, not sacred words of truth. Although I enjoyed their review, I was surprised they omitted some obvious/crucial bts, which told me that they are not really BJ shippers. Finally, they may have been careful not to contradict the “official position” of HB/SYJ’s agencies. During this drought, I sometimes get moody and fragile and even start to look for someone to blame for my misery!  As it is the nature of fire to burn, it is the nature of shipping to bring on emotional ups and downs. So don’t be too hard on yourself or your shipping beliefs when you feel low. Recall and trust what brought you here.

 

Bear with me a little more. On the subject of realism vs delulu: I reckon we are all a little crazy due to BJ addiction. But are we deluded? The CLoY interviews/bts/pics are not hallucinations.We shippers didn’t fabricate imaginary Youtube vids and arbitrarily linked HB to SYJ. We believe in BinJin because of what we have seen them do together and applied logic. Granted, even seeing and logic are not infallible because whatever we see can be subjective and logic only works if the underlying data is valid. So why ship? Because although a confirmation by BinJin is pending, there is a BASIS for our optimism, a basis for believing that BJ is real. I recall that shippers here are from many continents and many cultures are represented in this thread. We have here a mini-representation of world communities, of cultures, of age groups as well as the collective life experience that has observed the same BJ material, the same sources and amazingly come to the common view that the BinJin coupling has substance! THIS common ground is a basis for shipping. Whether proven correct, time will tell but there is a reasoned premise for hope. Therefore, to me, we are not deluded or delulu but devoted and delighted at how grandly the BinJin ship sails!  Folks, when in doubt, take a good hard look at this picture.

Yes yes yes!!!! I’m also a mid shipper and have been following Kpop for past 10 years. I always wonder are those ppl not familiar with K.ent and how brutal K.ent is for misconduct.

The Swoon videos could have been recorded in November 2019 just as you said. I think the September 2019 timeline was never really verified. That information was probably taken from an IG account. 

 

I have read the article you posted and agree with everything you said. I do understand why Binjin want to keep their relationship private. I had no knowledge of K-Ent industry until I became a Binjin shipper. Sure I’ve heard of K-pops such as BTS and the grueling way of auditioning to get to the top. But I never knew about how dating between celebs is considered a scandal in SK, how common it is for  agency denials even when dating rumours are true to protect their artists, etc. And a lot of it seem to do with the fans being so possesive of their artists and have no hesitation in invading their privacy. Some of extreme fans are even prepared to break the law to show their “dedication” as fans. I think they are called sasaengs. It’s quite scary.

No wonder HB always has bodyguards with him when he walks around. I don’t know whether SYJ used to have bodyguards before, but she did during the TN promos. And both of them love travelling, because that is the only time they can be incognito and carefree.  Unfortunately due to the success of CLOY worldwide, it will be difficult for them to travel without being recognised anymore. I guess that comes with the territory of being a public figure. 

 

I hope they can have a relatively peaceful and normal life once they marry and start a family. I sincerely wish for their happiness.

As far as I know, for as long as people do not label their statements as the truth (when in fact, they are not) and clearly indicate that what they say are mere theories/speculations/rumors, then no entity can take legal action especially if the person belongs to another legal jurisdiction (another country). Now, it is a different story if one claims something as the truth and that claim damages the reputation of the person in question. That is called libel by way of defamation of character.

 

Of course, it is discouraged to spread anything malicious but, if solely for the purpose of clarification and correction in this forum, I think we can afford some leeway to have a healthy and polite discussion of those without necessarily bashing anyone or perpetuating or wallowing in topics that may come as off-putting/offensive/sensitive for some followers.

i've been a fan of blackpink since last year, and never been a fan of kdrama until i got a chance to watch CLOY last march..i never knew SYJ and HB before, not until ive watched them on their series ofcourse.. what made amazed me is that whenever i watched SYJ longer, i get to see her resemblance to JISOO of blackpink hehe i dunno there's just many angles where they can pass as sisters..if only i knew how to post pics i wud rather post it but i dont know posting pics here hehe just droppin by..

Personally, it is ok to share OCCASIONALLY a LITTLE of their individual lives ONLY IF in doing so, it will further strengthen BinJin. 

 

4. I find some posters here to be stiff and sensitive. Can we loosen up a bit and have some humour?  Real life is already harsh, we want some happiness and consolation. This ship had been a sort of refuge and comfort to most of us. Let us not take this away from them.
