I just want to make clear that I am 1000% for BinJin and I just felt worried when I saw in those two situations SYJ's response.  I hope I am just overanalyzing it and those are normal conversations.  I just saw HB's expression wasn't very happy with her responses.

Hey! Please don't misunderstood my post. I am not bashing SYJ. I am just sharing what I read online. As I say, may or may not be true rumour, I still love SYJ for HB!

With today's posts, even a lurker like me who promised not to write anything but enjoy the convo can't help to remind some of us that this is BINJIN's shipper's paradise. If we want those negative write ups, we can always find it ourselves. I burned my tongue with my coffee because of that information. This is a haven for me who's living a secret life as a first time shipper since January. And just like some of you here, I only plan to ship BINJIN. I can only see BINJIN. My cat can only see BINJIN, too and everything good about what they are sharing with us flaws and all. We are realists my cat and I. We didn't decide to help push the ship just because of CLOY. We won't be here if we didn't see a reason to ship them. My cat hates wasting time.

 

To all of you wonderful, wonderful BINJIN shippers, you're really a tough bunch. Keep sailing. We have a mast and sail to protect. I am with you all throughout. ☕

Woe!! Missiles have been launched against HB and SYJ respectively in the past couple of pages. I thought I accidentally entered a critics’ bashing session instead of the BJ shippers thread. Those who did that (and you know who you are), you can’t say that you were only repeating what someone else said – we are supposed to know how to discern and filter what we read. And if your posting has one sentence “I am for BinJin” and 100 sentences of criticism, you don’t belong here. Please air your angst elsewhere.

 

My thoughts on:

 

Letting go of SYJ’s hands during the paraglide-escape scene:

 

1.    Accidents happen.

2.    If HB were indifferent and uncaring, he wouldn’t have cited this incident as the one thing that stood out and scared him the most during filming.

3.    HB raised this incident in the interview, she didn’t. In fact, she said that because he prompted her memory of that incident, she would talk about it. And look at poor HB’s horrified look when she recalled her falling! I believe it’s because he would never want to disappoint her nor fail to show her care. ANYWAY, she obviously forgave him because just look at their affectionate interactions in the many bts after that incident. She is clearly more forgiving than fans!  Let’s give HB a break, since she has.

4.    As an added observation, in the bts of their reunion scene in Seoul - artificial snow fell into SYJ’s mouth (twice) - when she laughed and fell to her knees over it, HB held her elbows tightly, on both occasions. It’s like he was NEVER going to let her fall again, when she’s with him!! When a man modifies his reflexes to enhance his care for you, it is a major statement of love.

 

SYJ seems blunt and bossy: My take on that is that her strong personality comes from having to climb to the top of K-ent alone, on her own steam for the past 20 years. K-ent is described as a punishing business, so you can imagine her having to be steel beneath silken clothes, to have gotten where she is. The question is, what does HB think of that? We saw him saying in his interview that SYJ is outspoken without being obtrusive and not to be fooled by her smiling eyes and yet, he clearly adores her. So, HB has gone in with his eyes open. And if HB and SYJ accept each other as-is, who are we as outsiders to belly-ache over his “mistakes” and her “personality traits”?  Why not just celebrate these two people, warts and all (if one can even call them “warts”). They sound pretty human to me.

 

That said, SYJ appears more girly when she’s with HB (belt-hugging, finger-locking and hospital bed bts). Based on their interaction in interviews, bts etc, my guess on how it is in their private interaction: She will be the bubbly and boisterous one; HB will be patient and calm and occasionally drop a one-liner that will stun and silence her before she cracks up in laughter (we saw this in the Couch interview and the DIY calendar vid). Overall, HB will be indulgent with SYJ. He will happily let her have her way but if he thinks an issue important, he will quietly make his views heard. And she will concede and give in to him. HB has been described by one interviewer as, "Nice but boring". Well, during a TN promo interview, SYJ revealed how funny HB really is, which explains the many clips of laughter between them. She totally gets his humour and the fact that she does, must delight HB to the core.

 

Thinking of this couple together simply makes me happy.

In that infamous interview of Yejin falling HB said "oolee Yejin" "our Yejin" in the possessive way. I thought that was sweet, he said that.

@BJHope I agree with EVERYTHING you said. The paragliding incident has been discussed forward and backward and my conclusion is that HB did not realize SYJ felt the way she did about it (upset that he let her hand go), was made cognizant of it, and has made a conscious effort to not repeat the same action (for example, the artificial snow scene which you mentioned). No one is perfect, no couple is perfect, and as long as they are able to communicate and resolve the conflict, they can move past it (and so should we at this point) and hopefully strengthen their understanding of each other.

 

Regarding SYJ's strong personality, HB is well aware of it and seems to love it. She’s not just outspoken but hilarious, witty, and fun-loving. She adds spice and spunk to his more reserved and gentle demeanor. My theory (which is 99% groundless) is that his mom was a dominant character (from the interviews I've seen, it seems he has immense love and respect for his mom and the way she raised him and also he values her opinion very much) and is comfortable with women with that sort of personality. Again, all IMO.

Perhaps we should also be reminded of what HB thinks about "speaking one's mind"?

 

According to HB, Se-ri and SYJ are similar for about 70%, because while they both speak their mind, with SYJ, she isn't obtrusive, meaning her speaking out isn't unwelcome or too intrusive that one will find off-putting. That's how HB sees SYJ.

 

And then, in the same interview, he said that what's attractive about Se-ri is...she speaks her mind. 

 

Now, go figure.

Aren't we blessed to see them fall in love on-screen and off-screen (BTS, stolen moments on interviews, grocery shopping, etc)? Actually, if we sum it up, there's more evidence of their love off-screen than on-screen. And they gave us the masterpieces that are The Negotiation & Crash Landing On You. They could have really just kept their sweetness behind the scenes, but NO, they let us in those moments, some parts of their personal lives. Thank you HB & SYJ for letting us view even a part of your love story.

 

For fans/shippers who judge them, kindly consider that they are human too, they are not perfect. As for me, I will believe what I see.. that HB & SYJ are kind-hearted and beautiful human beings who happen to deserve each other. I love them both so I'm never ever putting them down. Let's protect these two, at all costs, shippers

A good friend who's been living in SK for quite some time now told me earlier that at least where her Korean friends are concerned, the two are together as a couple. 

 

She also said that because SYJ is so famous on her own right and is a well-respected actress, people there do want her to end up with HB; that it's natural for some folks to hate on her because conversely, so many girls are crazy for him.

 

And here's one interesting bit, even if the two are 38 years old, in Korean age, it's always plus 1. So if HB said he would like to get married before he turned 40, we could somehow anticipate a 2020-2021 wedding if fate somehow agrees with our delulu minds.

The amount of fake-fan trolls on this forum truly is concerning. I get that we’re in a worldwide home stay period but don’t you clowns have something more productive to do with your time and energy? Go yell at the sky or something but stop venting your nasty thoughts on here by claiming “oh I’m a Binjin fan BUT”  SYJ is gorgeous, rich and unbothered by whatever nonsense some rando on the Internet is saying so that’s that, I guess. 
 

I think it’s about high time we bury Hand Drop Gate, no? It was clearly an issue that only two close friends knew about in detail, it was literally never mentioned again anywhere and it’s what antis keep bringing up so let’s never discuss it again for our own sanity. This is a thread for happy, heart warming and encouraging discussions between shippers, not a space to create gossip fodder and duel with anti fans so any speculation about that incident (or other things like YJ’s personality) that aren’t positive will only result in more conflict. Let’s bring this back to the real deal that we signed up for: Binjin’s bond and their (hopefully) written-in-the-stars marriage ♡

 

I don’t believe anyone’s mentioned this yet, but CLOY/SYJ/HB were mentioned on a popular variety show! CLOY’s impact is still relevant and powerful

I like the Tweet below. To me they are perfectly matched with each other. Both of them are beautiful and kind people and we all are hopping the best for them. I have never ship any couple in my life but BinJin is exceptional for me. I believe one day we will all celebrate the good news together. In the mean time, let’s ignore those malicious, offensive posts.

 

There are so many posts/articles from social networks and media with the sole purpose of trying to become popular by riding on BinJin’s fame. With that purpose they always try to create something out of nothing, even written something outrageous. With those articles/ social posts - it is easy to spot as they usually say someone in the industry, production team/ a close friend/ a source without any actual names. So shippers, please be responsible when sharing and don’t let those ridiculous sites playing with your minds.

 

In the mean while, I’m happy to read your supportive posts in this forum and that’s enough. It is Spring in SK, let’s hope the good news is coming soon...
