That's what I really like with lemon rice, the nuts.  

 

I sometimes eat fried chicken with vinegar as dip, LOL. Or drizzle with some lemon juice. I like sour food! 

 

How about sweet and sour beef, or chicken for your lunch?

@MayanEcho @sadthe1st ~ lemon rice always reminds me of travel. back when there weren't too many restaurants, we would often pack food while traveling on the train or bus. lemon rice holds very well even on a hot day and will not get spoiled. even these days, if we are traveling back by road after a family reunion (in another city), a family member would pack us dinner for the night -- lemon rice and some mutton fry. yummy!

the tangy dips make the fried food feel less greasy, so you can eat more!!

Instead of milk I eat with plain yogurt sometimes. I don`t any add sugar or salt.

I usually eat more yogurt than plain milk. Yogurt improves my digestion more.

My family's favourite is Lemon and Lemongrass Fried Rice topped with cashew nuts! Yummy! Sweet and sour dish normally fish and pork are used more frequently here...Beef very rare...Btw are those peanuts on the top of the lemon rice?

 

@larus I've not eaten cereals for many years now...Only during schooling time I used to them in the morning but without milk just as it is...Or with chocolate milk...

 

@sadthe1st I just had nasi lemak few nights ago...My Kewpie Sesame Sauce is depleting fast! I've been having salads for lunches for almost a week now...Today was egg and apple salad with seaweed...

I love sweet and sour fish too, but now it gives me flashbacks of Si Ming! 

 

 

Sweet and sour would often be beef or chicken meat here, sometimes mutton. Pork would be very rare, and it would be likely cooked at home, not from outside. 

 

Yup, those are fried peanuts!
