Chin kissing can make us Wow!

where is our most loved comrade who specialised in bts kiss scenes .gif @Ameera Ali hahaha :phew:

i’ve finally caught up with all the episodes (i ended up sleeping at 5+ in the morning.. madness) i’m glad SJ has been consistent and able to convince SD with his logical analysis.. RJH obsession! haha  oh c’mon.. who isn’t? the NK ahjumma comrades (his broad shoulders lol!!) and us.. best examples of obsession! and the drunk “unglam” SD was hilarious :smirk: i’m quite happy that her mom waste no time to steer direction to checking out on SJ :joy: i’m really relieved that she only wants the best for her precious daughter..

RJH’s dad isn’t too bad either.. although he has much pride, but he does soften a lot when he sees his son and SR together caring for each other.. :tounge_wink:

btw, my weak comrade heart cried for the chopard watch when RJH dismantled it to retrieve the usb.. ouch!

It just struck me as I see JH's hands all bruised and battered (and enjoying the BTS kiss scenes) , that it must be a painful realisation about the brutality of his chosen path.

I read somewhere that a pianist fingers are the ones most precious to them because once they are injured severely, one cannot play the piano as well again. I realised that there are countless scenes where the camera lingered on his hands and fingers.

Now I  feel utterly devastated for JH...:cold_sweat::heartbreak:

OMO, I am having a hard time trying to focus in anything else while waiting for ep 11 hahaha. In the meanwhile, I have been watching BTS and interviews, photo sessions

I wish we have more English translation for those Instagram video clips. The people in Her Private Life were excellent in translating any latest clips and that just brings the heat of the drama to another level.

the waiting is too painful... I'm watching right now fetus Yejin on ''the classic" and watched yesterday "a millionaire's first love" with fetus hyunbin... They were so cuuuute *-*

I loved A Millionaire's First Love...think he's adorable with the longer hair &heavier build.  Worlds Within is also very good with him& Song Hye Kyo. They have very good chemistry also&there's a sweet love scene in that drama. They were dating in real life @the time. Summer Scent is also a good old school classic with SYJ she did an amazing job in this role &has another cute costar SSH...but he's no HB!!!

well hello comrades

been a silent lurker but decided to post here

crash landing on you is by far the best kdrama for me in a long while. i've been a fan of son ye jin since summer scent and world within was my fav hyunbin drama haha

i love love love love everything about CLOY, but the chemistry between hyun bin and ye jin waahhhh (for years i've been wishing for hyun bin to play ye jin love interest in a drama or a movie, then came Negotation and I was all what a shame it wasn't a love a story, but that scene they were in together, made me wished that it wasn't an action movie.. but then CLOY happened! answered prayer of a fangirl hahaha)

well anyway, am I the only one who's dreading the next separation of our RiRi, it was heartbreaking on episode 9 but I will bet it will be much more heartbreaking when they have to say their goodbyes again

You know, the same caught my attention! When he was detained at the jail cell. They zoom in and focused on the movement he was unconsciously doing with his fingers.

I have been rewatching, rewatching and rewatching hahaha. Lost the count! I have transformed myself from a financial analyst to a kiss analyst LOL. :joy:

In the BTS,  they definitely have a mix of takes. It seems like she is standing on a ladder for some takes and others she is not. He is really tall .

Also, I found him cute, the way he is grabbing her arm when they are talking in a section of the rehearsal . Please forgive me but it is impossible for me now to stop shipping them hahaha. I am sorry, I give up... I become a full shipper now at the risk of having a heartbreak if they are not a true couple hahaha

I totally understand you...Even if they're just greeting each other as co-workers I'm like "Omg you guys stop, get a room '' :D. I'm also a big shipper of them since I saw their interactions on ''The Negotiation'' promotions .

Oh! You are not alone, I am trying to prepare myself to their next goodbye scene. :dissapointed_relieved: because I also think that they will be another one and much more painful to watch. BUT... BUT, I think that they will meet again (without not many time gap) and stay together in Switzerland  .

RJH needs to return NK to arrange having a new life in Switzerland as a pianist. His dad will help him with that, I want to think that way

I think that them standing on the lake looking at each other while JH was playing the piece was meant to sort of signify a deeper connection between them. Like realizing that they’ve crossed paths before in a way that wasn’t just coincidental but also meaningful, hence to me, it’s as if they’re looking at each other and really seeing each other for the first time. That song meant something to JH and it was the only time he’s ever played that composition and it happens to coincide with that time in Seri’s life where she was at her lowest and she happens to hear that composition which comforts her in a way that she feels as though she was saved by it. That simple piano composition meant something to both of them and connected them in a whole new level. That piano piece also signifies something that only they know about. No one besides JH knows that Seri had intended to kill herself in Switzerland and no one but Seri knows and has heard that special composition. This is also why I think there’s no one else around them as they’re standing on that lake looking at each other.

So well-put!  I wish the writer gave RJH a few more lines (just 1 or 2!) in response to SR's line (in his room after she told him they've met at the lake when he played the piano).

On the topic of symbolism, I think the kite is another symbol in this story (Range Rover at the light scene; hanging on the tree scene).  It symbolizes the struggle that both RJH and SR share, specifically how they are both so high up (in their respective elevated positions of power) and so seemingly carefree, yet so tied down with responsibility and have no control of when they would be pulled back.  Just like a kite :'(  Hope they can be free together one day.

It’s always so interesting to read how a single scene can be interpreted in many different ways depending on who’s watching. That’s what makes Soompi such a fun place to visit when watching a good drama.

For me, the kite symbolized two things:

1) how they are inevitably connected by fate that even something as insignificant as a kite still ties them together. Seri simply saw a kite flying, she had no control over it nor did she know where it would eventually lead to and yet it somehow still landed on JH’s tree of all places and with no explanation of how it got there. It’s the same with their situation, they both had no control over their circumstances and no idea of where it would lead them and yet life found a way to bring them together on more than 1 occasion.

2) that Seri’s thoughts always end up landing on/going to JH. When she saw the kite, she had been going through her normal routine, minding her own business and in every sense, living the way she’s always lived. But no matter what she does, her thoughts end up on him. So the kite, to me, symbolized both her thoughts and how she can’t help but have it always end up on JH.

I couldn't agree more. As you've mentioned, their encounters in Switzerland not only emphasized that they are "fated" to be with each other, but showed that our actions affect others in ways we never expect. In this case, RJH played that song as a farewell to his brother. It was a song that reminds him of a very tragic and sad event in his life. It was a song that he detested hearing again in his life for the fear of re-igniting his grief-stricken self. Unknowingly, as much as it was a song full of grief and pain for him, it uplifted someone else. For Seri, it was a song that literally saved her life. If you really want to go deeper into this, I'd go as much as to interpret that as RJH was offering that song to his late brother, feeling lonely and alone in the world; he was sent another person to be with him -- Seri.

This drama is littered with plenty of poignant and subtle symbolism. It's brilliant.

I have to admit that there is a part of me that also isn’t sure if he actually remembers her from their brief encounter in Switzerland since he hasn’t mentioned it to her even after they played that piano piece together. The one thing that makes me think he remembered her was the scene where he took the camera out of the closet since there was no reason for him to take it out other than he remembers her and for the drama to also show that specific scene. The piano scene by the lake and the scene of them watching paragliders would’ve been enough to give us that sort of background (of them having been at the same place at the same time at one pivotal point in their lives) so the bridge scene wasn’t necessary. I think the bridge scene was inserted to make us realize that he remembers her. That would also explain why he seemed to care for her safety right from the beginning.

Am I alone, that I actually do NOT want them to remember their prior encounters in Switzerland? I think that remembering all of those encounters would diminish the profoundness of the entire "fated" arc between them.

I find it more romantic to think that the two are so destined to be together that the world "shrank" multiple times to accommodate their fateful encounters. They failed to get to know each other in Switzerland because timing was not right yet. Both of them needed to grow individually so when the world connived again to let them meet, it would be at that "perfect" timing.  Oblivious of their prior serendipitous encounters, they fall in love because of who each other are, not because of the idea that they were "destined" to be with each other anyways.
