(Giggles) Uhh... the way I see it, this question was asked because of what Ye-jin said in a past interview. 

 

My take away from all these? We are shippers, but in reality we really doesn't know what is the truth. They could be preparing for their wedding or are just totally friends. Only they know if the ship is going to dock in the correct destination or going to a totally different port. But one thing is certain, HB's deep affection, respect and admiration for SYJ is very real and unchanging. Time may pass, things may change between them but his impression and interaction with her will always remain a happy memory and he will be faithful to her whether as a friend or more than friends. And wherever this ship is going, I am already ok with that.

I'm going to be using a blend of "acting together" and "teamwork" depending on the context... but now you guys know the deeper meanings of the word, so you can fill in the blank.

Thanks @celest1al Binnie sure was distracting us in the metro.style. We all were really not paying attention. Yes the word sychronize I found to be interesting in the translation that was why I had to bring it up lol.  I did understand it more to be in harmony and in sync = yes you have to breath in sync too for acting - I just found the use of that translation in the interview to be more intimate than normal lol.. but yes as we know other translations before this never used that word before! Thanks! much appreciated what you wrote for the use of the word in the interview makes more sense to me. Regardless, he admires her so much as an actor and he has to praise her in such a way of what she brought to the show and how she even improved his acting - honestly, please Baeksang!!! I still feel Daesang vibes for her! Please make it happen!! 

 

Oh my gosh I am so emotional now today since I just woke up and saw some of the tweets for her on Twitter. I beat she is feeling the love in person and around the world of how much she means to use as an actor!! Plus I am sure she is receiving even more gifts from loved ones, friends and family

Honestly I can listen and read her talk about acting all the time! You can tell her passion for acting and what each role means to her. Below are a few excerpts from the last couple of years. i am only referencing Master in the House and an article during The Negotiation promotional tour. SYJ: I filmed about 30 films. There are many times when I just want to rest. So I think to myself, ‘When this project ends, I’m going to rest no matter what.’ But I end up looking at scripts again. I feel like I shouldn’t let this one pass me by. I think I have a lot of passion and ambitions. That’s how 20 years passed by.

LSG: Didn’t you receive the Best Lead Actress Award at the Blue Dragon Awards for the 2008 film ‘My Wife Got Married?’ Weren’t you young at the time?”

SYJ: I was 27 years old.

LSG: It probably wasn’t an easy decision to play the role of a married woman as a 27-year-old actress.” SYJ: When I was 24 years old, I played the role of a woman who had an affair in ‘April Snow.’ At 25, I played the role of a divorcée in ‘Alone in Love.'”

YS: That must’ve been a really big challenge

SYJ: Now that I look back at it, I didn’t think that it was a huge challenge. I don’t think I had any fears about how to portray something I was unfamiliar with

LSY: In my most recent drama, About Time, there was a scene where I parodied a scene from ‘My Wife Got Married.'”

It’s been 19 years since your debut. You are walking the path of the performer without breaks, playing a wide variety of genres. Is there any sorrowful feeling?

Why I should not feel sorrowful. It's because of the excessive love and interest I received from fans.  I’m different from the way I look. You may hear around that I’m easy going and bold but I’m always in a continuous tension. I try to relax but while I’m doing my works, I always strive to maintain my rules and standards at all times.  Keeping it is getting tough every time.  I think maybe I'll give up being an actor if I'm born again.

There was hardly any breaks after debut. It is never easy to do steady works.

I'm lucky, I believe I got my first assigned task well. Gradually, I realized how great it was to gain acting experience playing the protagonist from my debut film.  The more difficult it is to act, the narrower the field. Ironically, I don’t think I could have the courage to endure any difficulties with just motivation and enthusiasm.

Since Son Ye-jin’s debuted drama ‘Delicious Proposal’ (2001), she has created an image that has no objection to female viewers through ‘Alone in love.’  After Melos like ‘A moment to remember’, the 'Classic', she played in romantic comedy such as ‘The Art of Seduction,’ ‘First Love Rally’, ‘Spellbound', and then broadened her spectrum to thrillers such as 'The Truth beneath', 'Open city', ‘Blood and Ties.’

 

I have learned about the loyalty you have for your agency.  With the aspects of the entertainment industry, is it unusually rare to stay together with the same company almost 20 years straight?

Well, I think it's good to stay together for a long time with people who you are comfortable without thinking too much.  Representative Kim Min-sook was the one who had chosen me in my third year of high school, and introduced me to the entertainment. So we are like family.  If I seek for a more favorable condition, it will become difficult when things get tough and the situation changes.

Son Ye-jin even used the same beauty salon (Jenny House at Cheongdam-dong) for 19 years since her debut.  In this regard, Mr. Kim Min-sook, the representative of the MS Team Entertainment company commented, "she is an example of a honest and decent actor who is rarely seen in the world of entertainment industry." "Has the so-called (Son) Ye-jin ever been attracted by other agencies?" he said, "She is not a person who wants to loose principles and she feels a strong sense of human consciousness." Son Ye - jin, in 19 years, has never once missed a schedule or made use of her time ineffectively.

At the time of her debut, she moved to Seoul to study acting when she was a third year student in high school

I met with current CEO Mr. Kim Min-sook in 1999 when I was attending Junghwa Girl High School in Daegu. I was at the age a littler older for a child, and not old enough to be called adult. At that time, high school girls were classified as children. Representative Kim said, "Let’s focus on studying acting and make a debut after graduation." I took Saemaeul* train every time I traveled from Daegu to Seoul. Even though it was fun to travel on the train but I was bored with the anticipation of getting delayed acting instructions.  

The role of the crisis negotiating team Lieutenant Chae-Yoon, which was shown in the movie 'Negotiation,’ was different from the original romance or romantic comedy character. How did you collaborate with Hyun Bin?

As you know, it's only at the very end when we actually filmed face to face. We spent together about a month and a half at the shooting scenes, but most of the scenes were taken from dual monitors, so it felt like we were in separate places.  I was worried about the shooting techniques when I received the scenarios.  At the time of filming, it went on like a live broadcast so we couldn’t relax.  During the shooting period, it seemed like we were mostly living together.

In the 'Negotiation', Son Ye-jin was in charge of negotiations in the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's crisis negotiating team. She was calm and determined in resolving any urgent situations. Hyun Bin played the weapons smuggler for an international crime organization and was on the International Police Agency Blacklist, Min Tae-gu, who seemed to be watching the situation in a relaxed manner while staging the worst hostages in history.

Working together for almost two months, do you see similar or different working styles? I also wonder about your rapport with actor Hyun Bin.

I sensed it at the time of filming, but when I was scheduled to attend stages all over the country, I realized Hyun Bin is full of charms. He’s usually reserved but very humorous.  Not just me, he listened to other people very well.  I am grateful for the wonderful actor and the pleasant memories of good work.

Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin were born in 1982 and are the same age. They were the subjects of a hot topic in the early days of the fact that the pair of actors in their 30s who are well-balanced in performance and acting abilities. In addition, it was a special collaboration because the relationship between them was replaced by the confrontation of 'enemies' rather than 'between lovers'. "Even we are in the same age, we did not have a chance to talk," she said. "I’d like to try acting face to face in another work."

The suit showed up very good when you went to certain place after receiving a call from the police commissioner.  In all your works, I don’t think I have ever seen you in a uniform.

Yes, you are sharp. I believed that I have played a lot of different roles in my career, but until now I do not remember wearing a police suit in my work.  Come to think about it I did not even wear military uniforms or doctors' uniforms. If the uniform looks good, I think I will wear it often in the future. (Laughs)

Son Ye-jin has a continuous desire to draw a different 'love' story on screen from her 20s. She hoped that she would be able to gradually make the changes that fit her age. She wanted to be able to extend her role to play an extreme intense character in a light comedy movie. She decided that, "I still have a lot of acting to do.”

 

Now, whether you want it or not, you've become a middle-aged actor. What are the standards you have in selecting works?

In order to do things without making mistakes, I must put myself into work.  Though I did not set a standard, but in my case, I think my feeling is definitely important. First of all, a new role will trigger curiosity to play.  The other one is that I try to be considerate while working together. You can say that maybe it’s a little more relaxed when your age accumulates.  If you can get a good evaluation of your work consistently, there’s nothing more to wish for.

 

 

I think it maybe inconvenient being famous as an actress. Finally, if there is anything more you need to fill in, please let me know.

Of course I will have to. However, with the love I received from many people, it helps me to be tougher. Though I am greedy for trying to fill more, but I am satisfied with the present. In fact, as an actor, it's a burden that you always have to live without loosen the tension. I want to continue to be seen as an actor who offers the curiosity to look forward to another image transformation and something new every time. This will make it easier to accept with a positive mind.

@BinJinShoppingAide Thank you!  I will make an edit to my previous post on that. I really hope it isn't the same for Baeksang but since that is what they are doing at other awards too. I sadly won't be surprised. However, one seat apart is not as bad. At work before I was temporarily laid off, we had to have people sit 3 seats apart lol.

 

@TotoroSY in regards to your BinJin candies, YES!! This is why I love the Kakao Talk so much and why I felt the more serious nature of their "close" relationship. I had noticed the use of "we". He kept checking in with her for agreement. Plus they were taking care of the MC like they were her parents. Also, I am pretty sure at some point during their CLOY press conference and this interview, they had dinner after. In the past, even with SITR press day vlive chat, she had mentioned they had eaten before the interview. I think that was the main reason why he checked in with her about the snacks. They were most likely going to eat later and they didn't want to spoil their appetite. It may be related to the sighting at the restaurant near the TVN building.

 

Time for me to go back to The Negotiation period and watch their interviews for more working with SYJ potential quotes. I will probably doing a SYJ marathon to celebrate this day too 

 

Honestly, if I am emotional for her 20th Debut Anniversary. I can't imagine how emotional I will be come Baeksang day lol

There is another award show today which is the 56th Grandbell Awards which is for films or movies only. It was originally supposed to be held in Feb but postponed to today due to COVID-19. Looks like it is a small scale event attended by presenters and winners only. But they still have red carpet and photo wall for taking photos. It is likely that Baeksang may follow the same format.

Watching the video @TotoroSY posted! I think I couldn't watch this on YT before as there were no english subtitles. Actually, he does this shy HB a lot before SYJ in regards to his looks lol. Any pictures or clips from his early years, he gets embarrassed about especially when it involves him with less clothes on lol. Also he didn't like to do the any of the hearts - finger hearts and doing the heart shape before. Yet he does it with SYJ so comfortably since TN promo period. And still does it for that Smart shoot lol. Honestly it probably has to do with the "beautiful skin silky hair" comment she gave him  (That is why he brought her up to us and still remembers that moment / not blushing, embarassed this time when he heard it lol). That is why he teases her on the beauty/good looking during that TVN interview or how she even teases him lol - are you bragging? let's stop here lol

Decided to watch their Guerilla date interviews back to back this time. Basically, they want to be known for their acting and looks. And it is not looks for SYJ she just wants to date a nice guy 

 

This was when she brought up wanting to see a female ensemble cast in a movie - so hope this finally happens now  and also talked about her nickname "cow" and her love for food lol - is there a full english version of this I always wanted to hear more from this chat.

 

 

What do I need to do again to watch Baeksang live? I know it was mentioned here before. Originally, I was going to wait for english translations to be posted the next day but I know I won't be able to sleep. So I might as well try to watch live.

There is no doubt that the people listed on Baeksang Popularity voting knew they were on the list and now know the final numbers. Their management team would be on it! So isn't it a little embarrassing for a celebrity to go up to the stage as "Most Popular" when they know someone else actually won (by 100s of thousands? Ye Jin?) but already got a Baeksang prize?! The celebrity is up there thanking everyone for being chosen Most Popular--but they're not. Awkward!!!

Thank Goodness Guys! After all of the rumors, we make it through, and come good news. I'm so happy for that HB new video for smart, I just don't need to tell you guys the details, you already knew, 30% of the interview he talked about SYJ, and how he being so shy when mention her,   Oh,,man!! I can finally sleep well after watched it.  

 

Last week was totally crap, every time I open Google Chrome  the tittle was " 3 reason why HB and his ex reunite..bla, bla.." I meant, man! you only have 3 reason? We have 100 reason and 1 grocery picture for shipping our Binjin. 

And then come the vote for Baeksang, and then the SMART CF video. I'm tremendous happy. plus the way Binssi mention Yejinssi, it's like music on my ears . Hopefully more happy news again. 

 

I've been watching all the nominated kdrama for this Baeksang Award 2020. TWOTM, When The Camelia Bloom, Hot Stove League, Hyena, Itaewon Class, Hotel Delaluna, I'm totally kdrama fan now. Something like missing in my life recently when I can't watch kdrama  for a day. Where have I been? That drama truly good drama and deserve to be nominated. Sorry Hollywood, my love now goes to kdrama and movie. 

 

HB opponent in Best Category was also though KHN , NKM, JJH, PSJ is good actor, but my vote exactly for HB only. And Best Actress was so hard too.  GHJ, KHE, IU, KHS, all of them are good actress.  

 

And Happy 20th anniversary debut Yejinssi, you deserve it. Keep humble, keep down to earth, and keep friendly and smiley to the fans and photographer. And keep become a worldwide actress with Binssi!
