K-drama fans are vocal about supporting celebrities that showed outstanding performances in a particular series.

However, it's not always rainbow and butterflies for some celebrities who got bashed for blunt acting or failing to meet the audience's expectations through their role.

Unfortunately, it's not always the rookie actors who receive this type of harsh criticism but also the top celebrities and rising stars.

SF9 Rowoon (Tomorrow)

The 25-year-old heartthrob is among the stars who transitioned from being a Kpop idol to an actor.

After this hit historical K-drama "The King's Affection," SF9 Rowoon becomes a rookie grim reaper in the webtoon-based series "Tomorrow." He is joined by Kim Hee Sun, Yun Ji On, and Lee Soo Hyuk as lead stars.

Unfortunately, his portrayal of Choi Joon Woong gained mixed reactions from viewers, pointing out how he struggled to play the character compared to his fellow lead stars.

A media outlet cited the viewers' reaction, saying that the role is not suited for Rowoon and wanted to give more screen time to Lee Soo Hyuk for his impeccable portrayal of Park Joong Gil.

Song Hye Kyo

Even the Hallyu queen Song Hye Kyo was criticized for her "poor acting," particularly in her K-drama comeback "Now, We Are Breaking Up" with Jang Ki Yong.

While the 29-year-old heartthrob shines playing Ha Young Eun's young lover, Yoon Jae Guk, viewers are disappointed with the actress' dull performance noting that there's no improvement or difference from her previous dramas.

Unfortunately, Hye Kyo's acting was reflected through the viewership rating as "Now, We Are Breaking Up" only garnered around 6.4 to 8.0 percentage, which is relatively lower compared to other SBS weekend K-dramas; like "The Penthouse 3" and Honey Lee's "One the Woman."

Kim Young Dae (Shooting Stars)

From one Hallyu queen to a rising star, Kim Young Dae couldn't escape the harsh reality of being a celebrity after he was criticized for his boring and dull acting compared to the female lead Lee Sung Kyung.

While he gained massive popularity because of "The Penthouse," others raised that he is not ready to take lead roles just yet.

Han So Hee (Nevertheless)

Unfortunately, Han So Hee received negative comments regarding her performance in "Nevertheless," where she stars alongside Song Kang.

While the male lead perfectly portrayed Park Jae Eon and even looked like the real webtoon, viewers mentioned that her acting was not on the same level as Song Kang's.

Fortunately, the 27-year-old South Koren beauty managed to turn the tables when she was lauded for her portrayal of revenge-driven Yoon Ji Woo in Netflix's "My Name."

Despite being a newbie in action K-dramas, Han So Hee stunned the audience with her fighting skills and chemistry with Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Hee Soon.

They're missing a lot of names tho :joy:
