@sadthe1st The reason why most have heavy, floor length curtains in M.E. It's not just to block the harsh sunlight during the long summer months, but also to prevent the sand and fine dust going further inside the rooms during sandstorms.

Some five or so years ago, we had that very heavy dust and sandstorm that was blowing from Saudi Arabia to UAE. Everywhere brown and very much reduced visibility! If you've seen Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, yep, it's like that sandstorm shown in that movie.

Spoiler

It was this bad and it was really this brown outside that time.

Chingu, we use a white lace curtains underneath the heavy curtains. Keep the lace closed and heavy curtains opened! It's so good that you get sunlight through the lace. It's not really dark inside the house! Nice method!

I dislike that kind of curtain though.

These are the kind of curtains that I prefer. More gender neutral, hahaha! And nothing that will get ripped easily by kids or pets.

@Thong Thin Ooo, yummy spinach! Yeah, having air purifier, and AC filters are always checked that it's clean. The bad sandstorms are quite rare, though there are sandstorms so bad it's unforgettable.

It's summer break for the kids. ^_^

Whoa @MayanEcho  Didn't know you guys have such reduced visibility during summer.  Just like the seasonal haze we had here due to hot weather and partially open burning triggered somewhere.  @Thong Thin would know.
 Awesome breakfast pics!

Happens when winds get strong enough to kick up dust. Otherwise it's so clear, the eyes hurt outdoors if not wearing dark shades.

Was that the forest fires smoke that affected other SE Asian countries as well?

During cold season, it can be very foggy here. Difficult to drive, and sometimes, flights are diverted or delayed, even cancelled.

Yea, we do have haze here (not often) and the visibility is okay.  So far so good this year, we see clear skies and in between we have raining clouds.     With the exception of forest fire (not often), when the API is high, then we are advised to stay indoor.   Presently, it is the covid that not allowing us to move freely - we are still in lockdown.  :tears:

What happened in Barf drama last night? :scream:

Seeing angry comments everywhere….

Apparently the writer is getting a lot of hate?

Sound engineer getting it on with pregnant 30s mistress?

And read that the grandpa ghost is now getting nekkid at the pool.

I Cant Steve Harvey GIF

What the….?

Sounds like the writer has lost it.

Chingus, I think I might have to drop barf drama.
:evilelmo:

The writer is going into controversial territory - crazy plot lines which made her (in)famous years ago.

Looks like she didn’t learn her lesson yet. :unamused:

@sadthe1st

There was a naked ghost grandpa in ep 11… :unamused:

It’s not even barf anymore, it’s just that the writer has clearly rewritten the ending and they are now reshooting the last episodes.
Since there is no preview for ep 12 available, it must mean that they are live shooting the drama currently. Lol :D

Looks like the writer wanted to take into account the comments of netizens and international viewers and thus a new ending. We all know that this type of solution almost always fails and the ending turns out to be an epic failure.

:loolz:

The Last Empress being a great example of one.

:fear:
