Only very elementary mandarin . I can understand enough to order food or see some shows without subs ( I can understand maybe 40 %)  But if very high level one, cannot la . Banana

When I travel to China the last couple of trips , I force myself to say some stuff . The rest of my family is useless . My son in Chinese school but he refuse to speak when I needed him too. vomit blood .

I will be sure to add more Singlish in my daily posts then.Haha! We were mainly using the dialect Hokkien earlier. I can't speak it though, just choice words and curses. Hurhur.

 

@angelangie @triplem My Mandarin improved only when my friends dragged me to sing K with them. Otherwise I am totally jiak kantang also.

You read Han yu pin yin or what ? I also love karaoke,  I memorise all my Wang Lee Hom songs so I can sing .

The characters! Took me awhile somemore with all the traditional Mandarin! I like to watch the MV for the stories too, so dramatic all the Chinese love ballads. So my friends will sing and and I will watch and learn.

Yeah! I really credit my friends for whatever Mandarin I have right now. Although its a still big joke point among them how terrible I am. But hey I can survive in Taiwan by myself, so I am not too bad. Haha!
