Okay.. I’ll try to give a scientific journal to all of you about this pupil dilatation.

Actually pupil can dilate physiologically (as normal response) or pathologically (because of certain diseases, side effect of certain medications, etc)

 

So, Let’s just discuss about the physiology one. I’m pretty sure our Capt is in healthy state.

 

Here we go, 

The pupil changes its size in response to three distinct kinds of stimuli: it constricts in response to brightness (the pupil light response, or PLR) and near fixation (the pupil near response, or PNR); and it dilates in response to increased cognitive activity, such as increased levels of arousal or mental effort (the psychosensory pupil response, or PPR).

 

Let’s discuss about this PPR deeper.

 

Types of psychosensory pupil responses (PPR) :

1. Orienting response Sudden events (sounds, movements, painful touch, etc.) trigger an orienting response (Lynn, 1966; Sokolov, 1963): 

2. Mental effort and arousal 

     A. Mental Effort:

In one study, Hess & Polt (1964) had participants perform mental calculations of different levels of difficulty; for example, 7 × 8 would be easy, whereas 16 × 23 would be difficult. They observed that pupil size reflected the difficulty of the calculation: the harder the calculation, the larger the pupil.

(reviewed in Beatty & Lucero-Wagoner, 2000), showed that pupil size reflects mental effort, cognitive load, or cognitive intensity. Many different terms have been used, but the general finding is clear: whatever activates the mind causes the pupil to dilate.

      B. Arousal:

Hess & Polt (1960) reported a related finding for arousal. They had participants look at images that varied in how arousing they were, and whom the images were arousing to (based on the authors’ subjective impression of the images).
The results were clear: when participants viewed arousing images, their pupils dilated, but only when these images were actually arousing to them.

Importantly, whether arousal is triggered by something negative or positive makes little or no difference (e.g. Bradley, Miccoli, Escrig, & Lang, 2008);

that is, pupil dilation depends on arousal (intense v neutral) rather than valence (positive v negative). 

Pupil size also correlates with other physiological measures of arousal, such as skin conductance (Bradley et al., 2008). In terms of pupil size, the effects of arousal and mental effort appear to be similar: both activate the mind, and both cause the pupils to dilate.

My Conclusion:

My POV. Purely my POV based on the journal that I read.

LMH’s pupil dilates b/c of the physiology reflex (sympathetic pathway from dopamine and oxytocin hormones that produced when we were happy or in love). Most likely , it was happened through the PPR (Psychosensory Pupil Response) as already being explained above.

 

I hope this can help us a bit, to be more rational when we see pupil dilatation from now on..

Hello, i'm new to this forums and I ship our LMH & ggone. I personally a fan of ggone. I watch her in a muse, CITT, goblin, TIFL, and tkem. 
At first, I decide to watch tkem when all episodes complete so I shouldn't have to wait for the next episodes but when I saw the bts on ig and I think "whoa they have a great chemistry" and I decide to start watching tkem right away. As time flies I'm starting shipping them because of their interactions at the press con, keywords game, jenga, etc. 
Once I saw an ig post by a shipper account, about ggone being a first woman posted on lmh's ig (besides of his mother of course). I checked it and turns out it's true (I'm not following lmh ig at that time, so I have to checked it haha) and I'm really happy with that. I pray for their happiness jjinjja. 
And the day of kge birthday, I don't expect anything. Because I'm more on a "I-will-be-very-happy-if-they're-dating-but-I-will-be-okay-too-if-they're-not" kinda shipper. I keep my expectations low while supporting and pray for them to be together. Turns out on that day, on ggone effing birthday, lmh posted a video with romantic bgm and he ends the day with a post too. I just think that he did it with intentions. Of course he know that's ggone birthday and of course he will do nothing if he wants to tone down the rumour. But this giddy pyeha gave us 2 post on ggone's birthday. 
But lately, these past few days, I feel down because I read comments somewhere on ig claiming that lmh & x-factor is still in a relationship and dating privately. Of course I checked it, I google it and I checked it in their forums too. I found article that both of their agency deny they're back together. Even mym said that it affects lmh mental & psychology. So I take it at face value. He and his ex is done, it's over. But what shaken me today is, I read a comment on ig that said lmg & his ex is actually together till now and the commenter refer to lmh ig post (28 june 2019) and ex-factor ig post (3 august 2019) both of them looks like at the same place (both of them took a mirror selfie) and I checked it and I think it's the same place indeed *cry*. It shatter my heart seriously.. Can someone look into it? 
And I wanna ask if there's any lmh recent interview in which stating that he's still single? If there is, please give me the link so I can checked it and maybe put my head & my heart to rest bcs I'll take his answer at face value too *sobbing in the corner*

In my life, I’ve never seen a man which is obviously so smitten and whipped to a woman when he has feeling for the other. LMH has that kind of look toward KGE.
I think I’m old and experienced enough to differentiate infatuation, acting, and pure besotted look from a man and woman.

I cannot say that their relationship will survive life and time test, though I pray they will fight hard and growing old together. But I  know what I’ve seen. Relax, don’t let this ship thing affect your life too much. Again we can hope and pray, but reality can be different. And I’m sure all of us here are mature enough to accept that.

 

I think at this point no one can assure me that their relationship is not real, at least at the duration of TKEM airing. If someday they deny things, that’s because it’s not working by then. Not because it wasn’t there in the first place.

No, my life isn't much affected but it's just that feeling... You know... Shocked and sad. That's it, that's what I feel because I checked their ig post. I assume this forums is the safe place when I wanna ask or share something.

I also assessed the photos and yes, I too, think it's the same place, but it's a dressing room? I assume those are on-set for filming locations (for CFs, etc.) where different celebrities use them depending on the day/project. If they are still in a relationship and dating privately, I'm not so sure why they would be out in "public" on-set somewhere with a lot of staff members around. 

 

Either way, quite honestly, we'll never know what the real deal is. It also does no good to find interviews where he says he's single. If he really wants to date in private, he's not going to be like "yes I'm in a relationship." 

 

I understand why you're concerned, but at the end of the day, we just have to have faith in our couple <3.

Here im not comparing LMH with x factor or KGE. 

But i think x factor is really just a past for LMH. If theyre still together, if i were x factor i will gone mad knowing my man upload photo with some another woman eventho its just for promotion. And i believe, if LMH in relationship with someone he never do something to make her hurt. When he still with x factor, i think he is gentle man (i really respect him as a man) so now i believe LMH is that kind of man that really think about how his girlfriend feeling. So i believe hes not with his x anymore. Im sure he is now looking forward to KGE. And im sure theyre started "slowly but sure relationship".

I can see where you're coming from, because personally i did see the shippers of LMH-XFactor suddenly active lately for whatever reason and dropped this and that in MinEun shippers accounts. Gosh.

 

I've also had more things to add from what i observed during these past days: 
- many said that the female voice in LMH's bday video was X-Factor's
- they made a YT with a fortune-teller claimed to see the 'visual' of LMH and X-Factor actually got back together secretly and still going strong
- based on your information, last year they had pictures from what seemed like similar location but uploaded at different time. Their shippers said the matching pictures were their secret code.

 

Now I don't really know what LMH's projects/activities were around june 2019 (perhaps minoz ladies could help on this), but in my personal opinion the location of the photo seemd to be a studio, idk for shootings or photoshoots. It was something normal if two or more actors/actresses had to attend similar location for their work. In this case perhaps LMH used that studio around june 2019 and X-Factor used that later on, around August 2019.

 

Meanwhile, MinEun shippers got this:
- MYM and X-Factor's agency had confirmed official statement that both didn't get back together or such
- KGE is still the only woman in LMH's ig beside LMH's mon
- He posted twice in his ig during KGE's bday, romantic song and a bordered photo that was not his style (we knew whose it was), and choosing specific time as if to greet her at the opening and ending of her special day

 

I think you can see for yourself the difference between MinEun shippers' receipts and other shippers' receipts as i mentioned above. Not to mention receipts you got from watching their BTS.

 

It just doesn't make sense to me if LMH and X-Factor kept their reconciliation a secret. I also believe LMH is a respectable guy. If it's true he had reconciled with his ex, he wouldn't treat KGE extra special like that.

i just saw the updates you referred to. first, it was diff dates. second, it must be a studio as he was with his stylists and team. it's very common for k-stars to take photoshoot, cf etc at the same studio, like Kim Yeong Jun's studio (LMH's update on June 19) which is the most common studio in Seoul you can find on most k-stars sns when they have photoshoot lol. the last, i'm sure he was single and ready to mingle based on interview last October about love life in his 30s. i find it's quite funny some of you still feel uncertain after a whole loaf of bread on july 2

I see what you mean. Is it the red sofa that got you thinking they were in the same place? That was also in mid 2019 so way before he filmed TKEM. It's possible that after his  military discharge, they (LMH and X) met as old friends. Also, you've watched TKEM right? And you know how some of the scripts mirror real life? Lee Gon mentioned in one episode he's single and I honestly believe he is. Well maybe not anymore now, if he and KGE are dating.

My eyes are already tired from working in excel spreadsheets and doing PowerPoint slides, and then trying to read in this dark forum, alternating between mobile phone and laptop for both personal and work matters. Hence, I ask myself "How to zoom in to see LMH's pupils??"

 

Lo and behold, someone posted the closed up pictures of LMH's eyes when he looked at KGE and when he looked at PM Koo. Thankfully my eyes are still able to see his dilated pupils!! Wow! I am sold..

That's actually a very good point. If I recall correctly, didn't he go in depth about his thoughts and approach to love in his 30s? He said he was very passionate and protective in his 20s, he wonders if he could be like that in his 30s, and yet he looks forward to falling in love again. And he mentioned that it is harder to fall in love as you grow older, but when you do, it's stronger? 

 

Typically, I take what a celebrity says about their love life with a grain of salt in magazine interviews, because it could easily be a bunch of RickRoll'D or some statement crafted by their PR team. You don't see their faces and so you don't even have body language to tell you if they're being honest about their answers.

 

But in this case, he elaborated way too much to be fake. So, I take back my previous statement that we shouldn't rely on magazine interview responses :P.
