taste-wise good - rice was a bit hard.   Not crispy, unfortunately.  I must learn to make this.   But house does not have not a claypot.

waited for Vincenzo only bcoz of Song Joong Ki

(my first drama of him was DOTS and that was the last too until Vincenzo. Arthadal Chronicles didn’t caught my attention yet !

Coming back to Vincenzo

didnt even look into the synopsis, 

I was like lets just go with the flow as the drama airs, no expectations, no excitement.

But then got to know that it’s genre - Dark comedy !

Little expectations came flying over to me as I reminded myself with Prison Playbook days

(Just like BTS - TaeHyung said - “saying ‘I didn’t expect anything’ doesn’t mean you didn’t expect something” )

 

And the flow wasn’t smooth ! 

 

I wont be able to catch up with the drama thread & am not sure if would get frnds like here over there without any judgementalism, open minded, unbiased- Its really rare to have such a thread respecting each one’s opinion.

So lemme pour all my thoughts over here !

 

Ep 1 review :

waaaah waaah 

its my first drama of SJK “normal hair” !

And he looks stunning !

Was the jet spray spirit ?

*Is it really possible to walk all cool like that after spraying spirit all over the atmosphere?

Is it supposed to be a fantasy drama ?

I can’t stand with this unrealistic scene !

I often criticize Indian films for its over dramatic scenes and ‘blabber’ that South Korea is different in terms of it !

The scene just hurt my pride - totally disappointed !

 

Whats with the overacting FL @elan1 just said it perfectly - a wrong imitation of FL in My love from stars.

Hope she changes this tone of her acting it’s hard to bear !

I loved it, this man was cute saying it !

I could totally relate to him how he hate his own country (at times)  ! 
His Italian accent isn’t perfect but he tried well (am nowhere to judge his accent as I sucks even in English )

Just digged out if he did it right,

Coming back to the drama

Some parts were supposed to be funny but wasn’t funny at all !

It just gave me this expression !

 

whats with this overacting stuffs !

 

 

Shower scene was hilarious. Perfectly directed, even the way they played with the music !

 

 

Taecyon has got a very few sec on screen, hope he won’t end up like Kang Hana in Start Up - Am sure he has something big in his hands in the coming episodes, He isn’t a person who would take a drama just to be an extra !

You are holding a man just with one hand barely by a clothing tape and you act as if its nothing !

Heroism in its extremes !

And the Babel chairman is attached to the wall like a magnet !

Koala’s review of ep 1 speaks so well !

But guess what ?!

The dramas that I end up not liking in the first few episodes turns out great later !

Looks won’t make me move with the drama through out !

I will hang in until ep 6 

 

Its too early to judge and drop the drama !

Wow!  They had a 9-min video just to review him speaking Italian?  Wow!
Song Joong Ki was good in DOTS - exceedingly popular cos of DOTS success and his chemistry with SHK then.

Let us know about E2 please.  I did not watch the drama except seeing him umm lighting up the match so calmly .. was he trying to act cool and suave.  And then the part, throwing the other guy off the building corridor.

The game was good, Chelsea started bad, but controlled the whole game later on, and we had a Giroud wonder goal (won 1-0 with that goal)

 

 

That's why I love him as striker, he might be older compared to others, but still is best striker currently for Chelsea, and he just does not really like to miss out chances and scores amazing goal like that. Funny thing, he could not really celebrate that goal, since it was ruled off side, and he actually was off side, but VAR ruled it goal, since the ball he got was passed by the defender and not Chelsea player, making it non-offside goal. 

 

@4evrkdrama Chingu, I am not sure if you have watched the previous works of the writer - Chief Kim, Fiery Priest. Both of them were comedy, with serious topics. I actually loved Chief Kim (though it became a bit repetitive in the end), and Fiery Priest. Fiery Priest had more humor than Chief Kim, in fact a bit more of a forced one, but still, I believe it was on-point in most of the scenes, and at the same time the characters did well. The FL here could be compared to Lee Ha Nee's character in Fiery Priest, but Lee Ha Nee did a great job, making it look kinda natural and here, she is literally made to overact. 

 

As for Taecyeon, I and @partyon Noona share the same opinion, that he is the ultimate baddie here, and Kwak Dong Yeon could be not the main evil dude here. Since well, as you said, Taecyeon would not just accept a side role here, while doing the ML roles for years now. But what can I say, we have Kim Yoon Hye doing a side role, while having been 2nd FL in most of the dramas till now. For now, they have been unable to balance the humor, and they are yet to use it at the right time in right way for now. I also look forward to the coming episodes, and believe it is too early to judge this drama, still, it didn't really live up to my expectations, just like Sisyphus could not.

But I have watched blood during its air time (i wasn’t matured enough back then - and I liked it back then especially the cliff hangers in it )

Things are overdramatic in several points of the episodes. But well, so was in Fiery Priest and Chief Kim, but not on this level. That's why I have some problem watching it. The FL has got some serious moral issues here, like A LOT. Plus she so far has been overacting a lot, and having seen the actress act before, the script is making them (The FL and Taecyeon) overact. 

 

Regarding "Picture Abhi baaqi hai mere dost", well yeah, at least for Taecyeon, I feel it will definitely be that way, and as you said, I really hope we'll not see him being underused like they did with Kang Han Na in Start Up (I am still disappointed about it). 

 

Not really sure about Kim Yoon Hye, maybe she'll be getting more screen time, and has got a bigger role in the coming episodes. At first I thought its just a cameo role, but I think the building residents, at least some of them, might still continue to be in drama till the end of the drama.

 

Was Blood written by same writer? I had actually liked it mainly because of the different approach to the vampire stuff, but well, it went off track somewhere in between. So yeah, even I wasn't as mature back then, and maybe I would drop it, or at least not like it, if I watched that drama today.

I have not watched Prison Playbook, and the Hospital Playlist too. None are currently in my watchlist for now, maybe you could convince me for "Prison Playbook", since I was not really much excited about it after reading its synopsis. I do know, it was quite well received when it aired.

You know what everytime when there is a tiny sapling of expectation growing in my hurt I bury it saying to myself - “no expectations please ! lets watch it smoothly !”

 

And about fiery priest and chief kim if it’s over dramatic, I won’t be able to handle the drama !

 

Blood was written by the same writer and

same goes for Good Doctor (haven’t watched the drama yet but it was well received by my frnd who rarely love kdramas) !

Even I loved blood for its writing and then I donno what happened it suddenly lost its momentum (but still I hanged in there until the last episode thanks to my love towards KHS back then)

but still this drama is worth the time,

the sarcastic approach they give are too realistic and something is off too but that can be surpassed by the other elements in it !

Chief Kim is definitely a great drama. Not as dramatic as this one, and same is the case with Fiery Priest. I actually loved both of them, but, I think Chief Kim had more normal and relatable plot. You could actually feel like "yeah, this can happen", there were some rare WTH moments. So I would really suggest you to watch it, The first 2 episodes could be kind of slow, but then it becomes really good.

Oh I loved Good Doctor. It was simply great in my opinion, one of the best medical dramas I have watched.

I watched the drama for Ji Jin Hee, wasn't really fan of KHS, maybe because it was her second drama that I watched. Her first was "Angel Eyes". Yes, I didn't watch "Boys over Flowers" 

Coming back to Blood, it had a rather fresh concept, they just lost their way in between and the drama went off track.
