Just minutes earlier I had a friend who just told me she survived her own suicide attempt last year. Really heart breaking to know that coz I wasnt there to support when I dont have her number. Mental health is so crucial. And we should really get in touch with our friends out there.

yes, we don't really have to take about our problems so much but just to be with friends to chat with.. the presence is good enough!!

 

but, i also have some friends who are always complaining the same problems.. like more habitual than to actually wants us to solve her problems.. every time we meet, its like a tape recorder replaying her same problems.. despite all the advices.. nothing seems to go into her.. so after a while, i just nod and nod but no longer bother to give any advices..

@sadthe1st ~ sometimes I feel like I have nothing going on in my life except my dramas  but it is not like people are interested in which dramas I watch.  so it is like you run out of things to say at times except for the same old same old.... but then if you are like me, I get tired of rehashing the same old same old as well.

weather! I had a friend tell me that weather is always a safe topic in every situation and a great icebreaker with strangers. she was so right! 

politics -- this can be hit and miss depending on where people stand. however, in some situations, it can be such a relief. there was a social situation recently where we were all on eggshells (family drama in the background); so no one wanted to set off anything -- especially as outsiders, we didn't want to get caught.. so, we ended up talking politics, news and reviewing news anchors instead.
