I think at that time Ryan subconsciously wanted to spend some time alone with her, but unfortunately had to cancel as Deok Mi supposed to spend time with her family..After that, Ryan asked Deok Mi to accompany him to Choi Dain house. He may not decided to ask her out officially that time but he knows that he wants more time with her.

That scene also describe how much Deok Mi likes Ryan..that was the first time she is not excited to meet Shi An but showed disappointment that Ryan didn't asked her for a date..

 

My heart is bleeding for Ryan, especially when Deok Mi let go of his hands..but after rewatching the episode I kinda understand where Deok Mi decision comes from. In the whole episode, everyone was pessimistic about her feelings for Ryan..and her fangirling has made her learned about loving without having the person..

My only wish after reading the 9th episode text preview is that Ryan as Latte would message Deok Mi as Sinagil to tell that he has her notebook..and let the fluff begin again

Yeah, I think so, from June 2017, he joined the same Gong Yoo And Gong Hyo Jin’s Agency. After that, he had better works like Amadeus with Jo Jong Suk, Voice, The Guest... now HPL. That's good for him. Flower man blooms lately ^^

Oh!! It now made a lot of sense from your perspective, guess his subconscious mind is already working ahead of him ,Dain telling him he is jealous just made him accept  what his subconscious mind already knew. And I don't blame DM for rejecting him before she listens to what he had to say ......cos its not everybody that can withstand rejection from a loved one ,so it's better she rejects him before he rejects her . 

And for Eungi, even though he is petty and being territorial, I don't blame him because he and DM have been together basically all their lives and suddenly a new guy popped in ,he definitely feels threatened( its like a stranger coming to take away your favorite toy) unfortunately DM is not a toy here but a grown woman who can make independent decisions and thus forced to face different emotions he would have preferred dormant for now or slowly explored (we have people like him in real life)........unfortunately the fastest dog eat the fattest bone this days.......I don't hate him and I hope he redeem himself in the coming episodes

Exactly! He was on his way getting there, but Eun-gi's petty meddling escalated things. Not going to deny that I loooved seeing Ryan be a jealous mess though. So cute.

This! Yes please. I enjoy relationship angst, but hopefully it won't hold up longer than an episode at most. We need the fluff. I hate it when dramas start as rom-coms then become tearjerker melos halfway; like Jang Na Ra's One More happy Ending, that drama frustrated me to no end! We have a lot hurdles to get over; SA and Ryan's parentage for instance might create a huge scandal. I don't want to see Ryan suffering alone in NY. He better be with DM at that point.

Hi all! It is been some time since i am excited about any k drama!!!! I super loved PMY and her works. However her last work, i dont feel that excited about the couple. I feel that it could be better.

 

But for this, the chemistry with KJW rocks! Its super endearing, especially when she say, "oppa!"... i think all guys will melt in her presence!

 

Super happy for KJW role here. I find it very tiring to watch him in his last work, The Priest... he hardly smile and always frowning...  

 

So now we are at this halfway mark of the drama... hope to see some 'real' developments instead of DM's steamy imagnination! Plus RG's and SA story development, i am worried that the love line will be rush through... nevertheless fingers crossed!

 

Now... back to rewatch the latest BTS and also the slow motion of the DM's hot kiss scene!!!!!!

Knet said this drama has old script... but that's not important. I love their chemistry. And they act too good. I enjoy this drama.

A little bit sad 'cause the rating.  But now this thread has 67 pages, not too bad

I think they have forgotten that this is a webcomic.......its has an  old script but has a male lead who is respectful and not forceful to women , better than many male leads in k dramas whereby they think the woman can't think or do anything on her own. Ryan Gold is a very woke male lead and no matter how this drama ends ,he will be one of my favorite kdrama lead (which says something cos I am very hard to please.) 

No wrist grab so far

No shouting on the female lead for not doing as he says e.g stay put while he thinks about what's best for their relationship.

Minus Eungi being territorial( which is even minor compared to some other dramas) the male lead has always given her space to be her self and no unnecessary or petty display of jealousy... If this is what it takes to have an old script, then I am all for it.

Ah! when he had to cancel the dinner reservation my heart broke! She was ready to cancel on her parents to spend time with him and then he awkwardly was all: 'No its ok'... poor sad little lion.
