They even mentioned that HB was teasing YJ and copies the way she delivered the lines (Calling him a psycho or to that effect).  HB would say it the way YJ delivered it in the scene to tease her behind the scenes. If you’ve seen it, YJ’s eyes were blood shot and she was suppressing her lines instead of freely yelling/ cussing at HB’s character. It was brilliant really.

The movie was good - had it not been delayed, it would’ve fared better at the cinemas (they had to reshoot it because of an ongoing scandal involving one of the actors). But things happen for a reason, and we got to see YJ celebrated HB’s birthday in the bus (ok part of her cutesy videos are to promote the movie but to get HB to agree to do those? girlfriend is chaaaaarmingggg ).

 

Hope and pray to everything possible that these two will be together in the end (better channel this to the Universe, yes?)

[Negotiation DVD commentary]

 

- First the cast introduced themselves. Ye Jin greeted Director but Hyun Bin. Then later when Tae Goo livestreamed the kidnapping scence, Ye Jin said there was also a similar scene like this in Jennifer Garner’s Peppermint, asked Director whether he’s seen that movie, again she didn’t ask Hyun Bin. I found it odd, as normally she should have greeted and asked all.

- Scene when Chae Yoon negotiated in English, Ye Jin said she practised with English teacher to have precise pronounciation, but compare to that, now hers is better, such a pity. Hyun Bin then asked “Now you can show us how you talk”, Ye Jin was taken back “Huh? No I can’t”. All laughed. Through the next scene inside when Chae Yoon continued talking in English, Ye Jin kept sighing “Now my pronounciation is much more better, such a pity” made Hyun Bin and Director giggled.

- Thailand car rushing scene, Bin said it was so hot. Director remembered the part when Tae Goo got out of the car, he leaned on the car, Hyun Bin had to utter “Aw, so hot”. Ye Jin laughed so hard.

- Scene after Chae Yoon showering, her colleague came to her house. Hyun Bin said “Now as he comes in, shouldn’t you do something to him? Shouldn’t you capture him? Isn’t it a habit”. I have no idea why they laughed so hard at this joke.

- Hyun Bin had never forgotten how Ye Jin could film in a huge, clean, neat space. When Director and Ye Jin talked about how her set was set up he sighed in grief “Yes, your set was too good” then she laughed “Tae Goo’s set is…..?” he continued “Huh? Tae Goo’s set was good too…. except there was no space to run”

- Monitoring scene between them was filmed in a month. She said for all that time, they just acted through the monitors.

- The first scene when they met through monitors, he threatened to shoot but there was no bullet until the third try, Hyun Bin giggled then Ye Jin asked why. He said in real life , the sound was so loud, there was lots of dirt then she asked “ Weren’t you startled too?” Then both of them kept making the sound “Like this…like this…..bbang” (to mimic how Hyun Bin reacted. The commentary is sound only, invisible)

- Scene when she took off her police uniform to negotiate, Director said the real negotiator he asked for advice told him wearing uniform was really uncomfortable and they wanted to show their sympathy for the criminal. Ye Jin laughed and said “That was why you made them (Chae Yoon and Tae Goo) wear couple white T shirt.“

- Hyun Bin had to smoke a lot for this movie, there was scene he had to smoke repeatedly for 7 takes. He said normally he didn’t smoke. Ye Jin was listening and humming “Hum, uhm” beside.

- When he called her bit*h, both of them at the same time, said it was the worst curse toward women. I like this part as it showed they shared same thoughts. He said it first: “This was a harsh curse, women when being cursed like this will think “If only he didn’t said that” and Ye Jin said the same “For women perspective, they will think “If only he didn’t said that”

- When Tae Goo shot her colleague, Ye Jin said it was the start of climax, then both again, commented simultaneously “because it was an unexpected situation”

- After Tae Goo killed her colleague, Chae Yoon called him a psycho, Ye Jin revealed after that part, whenever they met at the set, Hyun Bin will mimic her voice “a psycho”. He said because when he read the script, he didn’t think his partner will act like that, he thought the partner would have screamed out loud, that was why he was impressed.

- When Tae Goo threatened to kill the bureaucrats, Director commented that the actors will somehow showed parts of their characteristics, and he said “When I looked at Bin ssi acting, hum….” and he stopped. Ye Jin and Hyun Bin was laughing so hard. She imitated Director’s thought “Hum, this man just thinks of how to kill people, huh?” and he told Director “Can you finish your sentence? You stopped there would make other misunderstand me”

- The last part when he cursed the bureaucras with very hash words in Korean, Director asked “Normally you don’t curse right”. Hyun Bin responded shockingly “Yes, I do it occasionally when I’m alone”. Both Bin and Jin laughed very hard after that. She continued his words “You cursed constantly when you are alone”.  “Yes, Whenever I’m alone, I curse” he replied.

Overall I think the commentary was very hilarious, talking was mainly director, Ye Jin was little more than Hyun Bin but compare to other commentaries of his movies, I think he was so talkative here, his voice was like an octave higher than normal lol

Totally agree. I watched The Negotiation when it's first released in my country ~10/2018 and back then I wasn't a shipper or not even a HB/SYJ fan, just a normal moviegoer. Didn't have much expectation but I end up really impressed because of the strong chemistry and tension between 2 leads. Especially in the last scene when they met, I shed a tear or two because HB's eyes were so haunting, full of mixed emotions: angry, damaged, regret. And so do SYJ eyes. It's an action crime movie but somehow their acting make it feels like a subtle sad love story, even though no love word was spoken. I went to cinema a lot and most of the time I forget the movie right after it ends, but for Negotiation I still remember til today. Fast forward to CLOY 12/2019, I surprisingly realize this is the 2 leads in Negotiation, and again chemistry is up to the roof. Out of curiosity, I watch an interview video of them, then another, then ALL of their interviews, BTS, swoon videos and officially become a shipper. BinJin is truly addictive and mesmerizing. I never know I can fall in love with a couple this much!

How are they such a global phenomenon, with so many people falling in love with BinJin (across borders literally) !!

And it's been many weeks since the CLOY finale and so many people around the world are still hung up on Binjin (recycling of old content in YT, Weibo, IG, Twitter, analysing every little detail and just trying to find A SIGN).  

Can any resident psychologist (the one from many pages back) explain this - why can't we move on?

Is this the usual experience with shipping couples? Why did we fall so hard for BinJin?

Can someone with a little bit more shipping experience explain if it gets any better for us knowing that we may not get any new content of either Bin or Jin for quite some time?  Will the sepanx get better with every passing day?

I think the same. They knew it would be the issue. That’s why HB didn’t want the public to know but finally revealed by Community  Chest 5 days later. I guess they spend time together a lot now before HB starts shooting new movie end of this month.

Stumbled upon  recent article about kpop  stars comming clean about their dating life... And it was about a famous actor Sung Joon who starred alongside HB in Jekyll and Hyde, and some other singer named Lee Jae-hoon. Sung Joon released a statement in this Feb that he got married in 2018 and they had a baby last year.. I was shocked cause he's a very known actor.

Then 2 days later singer Lee Jae Hoon confessed that he was married for 10 years and had 2 kids!!!! 

 

I mean if those two could keep it secret for so long it only convinces me even more that SY and HB are probably together and keeping it a secret from us. who knows how many other actor and singers are married and still hiding it.

Actually this Twitter user account below had explained the storyline of the various video clips that TVN had made and edited. There is an actual storyline to it! Wow, I am impressed by TVN. I like the clips B-1 and B-2 the most. 

 

 

Actually I did not watch Memories of Alhambra but the mashup video clips are interesting so maybe they can have a new season of Memories of Alhambra with similar game concept but with a new storyline and new characters and a new heroine with Son Ye Jin. My personal view is that Crash Landing on You is more or less done as a story so I doubt we can have a season 2 for Crash Landing on You that would work well. 

 

Like I said, either they marry each other or if not then they should give us another drama or movie so as not to waste their insane sizzling chemistry together and to mend our broken hearts. We just can’t get enough of them. Jokes aside, I really like to see them in another drama or movie together.
 

Of course if they are officially together, then we don’t need another drama or movie because we will just swoon over their real life happiness. We are so delulu, aren’t we? lol

hi everyone, I’m new to this but I’ve been backreading for the past week! I love all your analyses, snippets, and creative contents!

 

I must confess I was not actually a K-drama fan (usually watched American dramas). I didn’t even know Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin before this. But after CLOY, I’ve been sooo hooked on our beautiful RiRi couple and super obsessed with BinJin that I haven’t been able to move on! I’ve been watching all the IVs and BTS vids both of them together and individually multiple times, checking this forum and twitter & Insta multiple times a day just to see whether there’s any new updates on BinJin couple. Every swoon-worthy moment of them together makes my heart so happy and overjoyed, and strengthens my belief that they are definitely together. As you mentioned @SoundOfSilence I’ve even wondered whether I’m going crazy because this has never happened to me before!!
 

Anyway I’ve become an avid CLOY & BinJin evangelist that my friends now think I’m getting crazy :D so I made the account just to be able to chat with you lovely people to feel less alone in my BinJin craziness lol. I’m sooo excited for more and more BinJin contents and hopefully the news we’ve been waiting for in the future!
