Just finish watching ep2.. i find both husband and wife team doesnt have scenes where they talk to each other... its all business ot when SJ looks serious and doesnt reply (until the death if that prisoer VIP)...

 

The next question is, did he or did he not... and drama shouldnt be able to sustain itself if it is all about revealing who SJ is having an affair with, haha... sigh...

 

I wanna who and how is he going to redeem himself... and he need to have scenes where he talks... to his wife  hahah

Just two episodes into its run, SBS’s new drama “VIP” is already chock-full of mysteries waiting to be solved!

 

“VIP,” which began airing on Mondays and Tuesdays last week, is a suspenseful new melodrama about the hidden secrets of a team that handles VIP clients at a department store. After premiering to No. 1 ratings, the drama has continued to gain steam, enjoying a significant rise in viewership for its second episode on October 29.

 

The drama stars Jang Nara as the smooth-talking, highly competent Na Jung Sun, whose world is turned upside down when she receives a mysterious text message about her husband and team leader Park Sung Joon (played by Lee Sang Yoon) that throws her seemingly perfect marriage into peril.

At the end of the first episode of “VIP,” Na Jung Sun received an anonymous text message informing her that her husband was cheating on her with one of her co-workers. The message, which was sent from an unfamiliar number, stated simply: “Your husband’s mistress is a member of your team.”

Just how many women is Sung Joon in bed with apart from his wife?!  Although in all seriousness, what man could ever resist the charming Jang Na Ra!? Also Sang Yoon was in on the way to airport which was a drama where he played a widower having an affair as well~

     That scene where Hyun Ah posed as a mystery shopper reminds me of a similar one in the movie Pretty Woman. Sadly it happens in life too. Some of these sales staff are very judgmental & turn potential customers away by their poor appearance. 

    I have a hunch the married lady in Sung Joon's team has an affair with him.. Is her husband's tteokbokki bad?? Is that why their kids cry LoL?  I'm not sure but something about this drama seem a disconnect somehow.. I'm not exactly invested but I'd keep on as a casual viewer for the time being.

My guess is he is having an affair with Song Min A. To have an affair with Lee Hyeong Ah is too obvious and I don't think the writer wants to make it very obvious from start (I could be wrong as it could be her as well) and we cannot totally rule out On Yu Ri too. Who knows she is the mistress for both Lee Sung Joon and the Vice President. Or maybe she just started the affair with the vice president to change her social status after what she observed at the store.

Gee DuH (facepalms) humor me a lil here alright? Too much to ask no I just meant to say that the other drama, Sang Yoon was in had adultery in it & yea it's an honest mistake on my end ok?

I've the same feeling he has a lil something-something with Yoo Ri, but need more ep. to confirm.. by the way the actress Pyo Ye Jin keep playin' these similar newbie office roles in 3 dramas so far including this. The other 2 being:- What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? & Fight My Way.

Hehe... i cant remember the drama well, though i did watch On The Way to the Airport... i thought the drama was pretty slow and there wasnt much going on, both leads try to keep attraction to each other at minimal and female lead hubby was horrible hence she wasnt happy. I didnt think it was a big 'affair' between the two leads... i dont remember Sang Yoon being a widower, just his daughter died... i cant remember...

 

but my comment was based on the statement when you said he was a widower so technically he cant be cheating since his wife passed away... hehe.., nvm 

 

For one, i need to see Sang Yoon being more affectionate to Jang Nara in the drama...sigh..

I agree that could be the case. I see this as more complex then just an affair or cheating husband. It's too early in the drama to label the husband as a cheater I would rather give him benefit of a doubt.

Lee Sang Yoon Commits A Suspicious Deal In “VIP”

SBS’s “VIP” has released new stills of Lee Sang Yoon!

“VIP” tells the story of a team in charge of a department store’s VIP clients and it showcases the lives of working women trying to survive in both the workforce and in their marriages. In the drama, Jang Nara plays Na Jung Sun, the vice-chief of the VIP task force, and Lee Sang Yoon plays Park Sung Joon, the mysterious leader of the task force.

In the previous episode, Na Jung Sun became suspicious of her husband and asked to speak with Cha Jin Ho (played by Jung Joon Won). Park Sung Joon calmly handed his phone to her to reassure her about his faithfulness. However, when she directly asked him if he was cheating on her, he started to become uneasy. Once she left the table, he thanked Cha Jin Ho for doing him a favor and sighed in relief.

Park Sung Joon’s suspicious behavior is further emphasized in the newly released stills. During work hours, he meets a man at a cafe and hands him a thick envelope with a piercing gaze. Viewers are curious about the envelope of money and what secret he is hiding.

This scene was filmed at a coffee shop located in Ilsan District in the city of Goyang which is located in Gyeonggi Province. Lee Sang Yoon appeared at the scene while greeting each of the crew members, and he hurried to the set to take care of the props to be used. As expected, Lee Sang Yoon perfectly immersed himself into his mysterious character Park Sung Joon while showing off his extreme charisma through his restrained behavior. Once the cut signal was given, he laughed brightly, and the heavy atmosphere vanished quickly.

The production crew praised the actor, saying, “Lee Sang Yoon overpowered the scene by expressing the secret of his character with subtly uneasy pupils and expressions. Please watch how the development will become more mysterious as Park Sung Joon’s secret surfaces.”

“VIP” airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 p.m. KST.

This drama looks interesting and the acting is really good by the cast.  I think it's more than just some extra marital affair going on here. I think the mom with 2 kids isn't cheating on her hubby. She has a secret hideout just for herself to get away from her family. The single lady on the team could be the one who sent the cryptic SMS to FL or she could be the one who's cheating with the ML

 

Anyways I like the mystery behind this plot and hope they keep the suspense going
