and like all of you, I’m DYING to know what’s really going on with SJ. I don’t think he’d lie about cheating if he didn’t and he loved his wife. That’s too big a risk to take. I also think that perhaps this couple lost a child because of the locked room they’ve shown twice now. It’d be understandable that going through a tragedy their relationship becomes strained. Perhaps he was trying to be strong for his wife and not show his grief and thus fell into another’s arms in a weak emotional moment that he let himself grieve. That could explain the accident and the kind of coldness between what seems like a happy couple.

Exactly what I thoughts after finish the 4th eps. Perhaps something big happened to this couple and made her a split personality disorder.

Because the look of PJS when saw the text was more worried.

The 32 episodes are probably the mini episodes (half hour each) so that makes it equivalent to 16 one-hour episodes. 

Anyway, I agree with you about the torture of watching and questioning the same thing about the husband through the series. I couldn’t even stand it for 2 first episodes with the dragging tease of did he or did he not... still on the fence whether to continue watching or not because I love both the ML and FL pairing.

SBS’s “VIP” is continuing its steady rise in viewership ratings!

According to Nielsen Korea, the November 5 broadcast of “VIP” recorded an average of 7.4 percent and 9.1 percent in nationwide viewership ratings. This is a 1.1 percent increase since its previous episode, and the show has continued to increase in viewership ratings each episode since its premiere on October 28.

 

Meanwhile, KBS 2TV’s “The Tale of Nokdu” achieved 4.7 percent and 6.2 percent in viewership ratings, which is a 0.2 percent decrease since the previous broadcast.

 

JTBC’s “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency” recorded 3.8 percent for its final episode, coming to a successful conclusion with a 0.6 percent increase in viewership ratings from its last broadcast. tvN’s “Catch the Ghost” recorded 2.4 percent viewership.

Hyun A is having a melt-down about her mom's debt problem. The husband is comforting her and gets mistaken by JS. 

 

I feel like one day he got drunk and got duped by someone, then gets blackmailed with photos but he probably can't remember anything, so he said 'it just happened by accident'.

God this drama is so juicy. 

And so much to talk and guess about. But i'll do my reading first

The text msg SungJoon receives towards the end of episode 4 got me to thinking that some bi*ch was messing with them. It could be true what SungJoon confesses to JungSun. It was probably a one night stand and who ever the woman is didn't leave it at that and is now harrasing maybe blackmailing him too. It reminds me of the old movie(1986 I think) Fatal Attraction but of course there was no i-phones back then and no way texting messages. The woman slowly crept into their lives and it was creepy.

After ep4 I find the drama rather interesting. Although the central issue here is SungJoon and JungSun marital dilemma I like the depiction of Morden women working lives, their emotions, their hope and decision s they make.

 

I feel for MinA a working mom trying to juggle work and home because I was there at some point. She is desperately seeking a promotion and had to make that hard decision of leaving her kids. 

 

Most woman would hate YuRi because she gets the privilege of being in the VIP team because of her connection to the VP while some may have worked their butts out for years like MinA. But it take guts to do. If words gets out she can get burned not the VP. I should commend her for deciding  to do her best at her work instead of relying on her charms.

 

At first glance we see the sassy HyunA as a woman who has it all. A great job, someone who is into all the latest trends but we were quiet surprised that creditors are after her.

 

Waiting to see what that locked room in JungSun's home is about.

I completely agree with someone before that he probably did not cheat, but it was JS having a split personality. 
When the husband met the guy who called to cover for him, he said he'd bring it back. Kinda weird to say that if it's about him cheating with another woman.

I'm loving this drama! Adult focused, intrigues about real life that I can relate with... I'm especially loving the commentary on wealth and status, old money vs new money, women in the modern workplace vs their societal expectations, so much so that I am not too worried about who he's cheating with. Watching Jang Na Ra's character trying to deal with the revelation of adultery is interesting too.

 

The Social Media star's storyline was fantabulous! I wanted her lies to blow up on her, but at the same time I didn't want her to fail because those gangsters are worse. I loved how her trunk show success was used to show the fickleness of current society where netizens complained about the excesses of her spendiing, while other VIPs saw an opportunity to gain social media traction and earn a gazillion Won. The dichotomy was used to resolve the storyline realistically.

 

I'm not sure what to think at this point... Is hubby having an affair? Is he covering for some higher ups? Is wife suffering from split personality disorder? I think he's in a mess that is slowly gonna get out of control, and based on the press conferences and interviews they gave, things will only get worse. I'm not sure they'll still be a couple by the end of the show.

 

Where's monday? That ending to Ep4 was stupendous!!

I am having a split personality disorder myself  did he or didn't he. At this point, I am reaching the point of not being concerned with him cheating but more concerned over her mental health .

Yes, that room holds the key to many questions and her delusions. Anyone else thinking it seems like the movie It is a Beautiful Mind, with a bit of different variation of alternate reality? 

 

I hope this drama is about mental illness and not about a cheating spouse.

I kinda agree that it could be she has split personality disorder and that is all her other personalities. This could also explain why her husband is always have a worried looking face and not smiling.
