I keep thinking that Sang Yun was the one who send the text to Jang Na-ra via schedule message text.

I keep having that thought ever since I seen the every first preview.

Maybe because I once read a pocketbook... that I husband send a anonymous letter (it's a long time ago so the book use letter) to the wife to see if the wife still loves him.

Because they experience 2 miscarriage, the husband feels that the wife is obsessed in having a child and feels neglected.

I've watched the first ep. looks interesting for now and i like the mystery behind it. The Synopsis says the couple face an unexpected case which causes their lives to fall apart. Don't know if it turns out to be a marriage breakdown here.

Its starts off with Sung Joon leaving a hotel room. Not to get any ideas because much later the wife, Jung Sun asked 'how was your morning meeting?' But before that we see HyunA leaving a hotel room. Was Sung Joon and HyunA together?

Okay all the mystery starts towards the end when Jung Sun receives a text msg 'are you alone in the office now mr park? can i go there now? Would a lover be addressing him as 'mr park' i find that odd. Then Jung Sun gets that shocking text. Waiting for next ep.

Just caught the pilot episode. A tad bit disappointed. But then the disappointment comes because I expect a lot from a Jang Nara drama.  I loved , loved, loved Jang Nara's character. She's a confident and independent young woman, managing both her personal and professional life. JN just kills it in the first scene as she inspects the miscellaneous items to cater to the VIP clients. She floors me no matter what role she takes up. Whether she's the naive empress foolishly in love with the emperor till reality crashes in, then she's a fierce, determined woman in her quest to unveil the truth.

However, I must admit that I am not liking how one of my favourite actors is getting the short end of the stick when it comes to love and marriage. The Emperor left it too late to be redeemed. Now, we have the husband again! TBH, I hate the husband already. How can he cheat on a wife like Jang Nara?

Anyway, I am looking forward to the unveiling of the mysterious 'other' woman. Is there any other male character who deserves the beautiful JN? Because the husband is completely undeserving atm. Oh and I hate how kind of 'passive' he looks. :angry:OK, yes, I am disliking everything about him atm.:D

Just got off watching the 1st eps , and found it intriguing . Hey , it is not everyday one gets to see how the top 1% live and spend their cold hard cash . Through the eyes of the team , we somewhat peek into the lives of the rich and very rich eh ...honestly the way the team worked to find that pair of shoes almost felt like I am watching a police procedural with the detectives being pressured hard to catch the criminal

So I think I should give some fair warning to those who are coming on board this drama thinking it would be the usual romance and all. The drama is being promoted as a private office melodrama - and that is spelt with a capital M . So prepare for heartaches , heartbreaks, tears, office politics ....it will get ugly.... but from watching enough affair dramas , it will often lead to something positive - the affected parties more often than not needed this to help them relook at their marriages and lives.

I wonder if he actually cheated on her or not...I say that because like a crime drama we have only been shown bits and pieces of what may have happened , and we don't know if he has. All the scenes imply that he has and that one of the 3 women could very well be the one he cheated with.  The drama is very cleverly leading us to draw our own assumptions. There are several possibilities - one being that he may not have cheated and there could be office politics at play here - hubs may have competitors wishing to destroy his career and personal life. Or it could be that he is being tempted, nothing has quite happened yet...

But what is clear is that there are already hints of cracks in the marriage...his distant expresssion..her MIL coming in as she wishes...the way she looked at his study at home...things are not as rosy as it may seem ...

@confusedheart326 don't be to quick to hate the husband yet it's too early in the drama lol don't get me wrong I like JangNara too.

Haha yeah the husband looks like the brooding type. The wife teased that he's been frowning a lot lately. Could they be having marriage troubles. Looks like JS is trying to get pregnant. I noticed she was staring for a bit at a closed bedroom door in her home. Maybe a deceased child?

@triplem one more thing he saves his wife number as 'my other half' haha it sounds too stiff and formal. I thought loving husbands saves their wife's number as Wifey, my honey or my sweetheart lol

Good point...but I also wonder if something is lost in translation...like maybe if in Korean it may not seem so formal. They sometimes tend to have very formal ways of addressing each other even when they are in a close relationship or are married.

@imgreatgal Brooding I can do, this guy looks plain distant, indifferent. Those expressionless/ blank looks, unless he is barking orders at people. His character is certainly going to be interesting. Calling him just a 'cheating husband' is over simplifying things in my opinion.  The 'rings' of the onion as they would unfold would be interesting to watch for sure. It would be certainly interesting if he indeed cheats on his wife. The distracted looks don't give me much confidence in him yet.  I probably come across as someone who is hell-bent on making the husband cheat. But then my only defence being that it would be really exciting to see how the makers show/ deal with a character with gray shades. A character with gray shades is super fun to watch. Like the Emperor who made me feel all sorts of things , although he really didn't deserve Jang Nara. But then my foolish heart started shipping them. Anyway, without getting distracted, a husband grovelling would be fun to watch. @ the husband Sings Drake style* Got my eyes on you!*

@triplem No, don't go easy on him! :tears: All those possibilities do seem reasonable but they are rather tame. I want some madness! Gosh, am so desperate for the husband to cheat. JN will tear him apart along with the mysterious other woman.  JN, the warrior princess! Rooting for you, JN! Show them, we women are not some wilting lilies. *war paint on*

Just happened to watch raw ep 3-4 & Sang Joon is totally blank when Jung Sun is with him! Either he is pretending to cheat his wife or he is really a cheater who deceives his beloved wife with another woman. But I think his heart says something else. He is having an affair with another woman but he doesn't want his wife to let it know! How can he go against his conscience??! He can't be a honest man anymore... :o Poor Jung Sun....

And he really seemed cute when he presented his wife a wedding ring with. All his vows sound real as well.! So I still guess it's all after their marriage that he ended up having an affair with someone! And who really is someone here??! It's too early to guess but we always see parallel scenes of other three VIP ladies in a row. And the new comer, On Yu Ri was talking about money with Hyun A! I think Yu Ri's having hard time with no money so she's all plain without any fashion. But when she opened up her wardrobe, it's full of hand bags, cloths & etc... -_- Then who is supplying her with all the stuff?! Then she popped up at a higher position's doorstep!

And the preview for next week seem too heavy for our pretty beauty, Na Ra! :( And she will make sure to tear her feigned husband apart! I agree with @confusedheart326 chingu & can't wait for the war in between a beloved wife & a feigned husband! Go go go, Jang Nara!! :o She will set the screen on fire soon!

@gm4queen i still believe that

Park Sung Joon (LeeSangYun) is not cheating on his wife Na Jung Sun (JangNara)...why

Lets look at trailer, (minute 2.06)

SungJoon’s boss once said to him: ‘if you want your promotion to higher rank, you have to show MORE of your talents? Perhaps SungJoon has no choice but to cover for his boss...SECRETS! SungJoon (Handphone) is the negotiator between mistress & his boss LOL. Just my imagination

...SungJoon married JungSun, because he loves her & most importantly save her from being one of the victims!

clips of SungJoon’s having affair with team member is just JungSun’s imagination...

Yeah! That was my first thought when I saw him with the VP in the lift and OYR walked in. There were rumours too abt OYR with the VP. Somehow I don't see PSJ actions as someone who cheats on his wife. Cheating husbands go through extremes to be super nice to their wives to hide their vice. But PSJ looks uncomfortable so much unlike his behaviour in that vid. That's why NJS says that he was frowning a lot lately.

Exactly. He is guilty of something but that doesn't include cheating on his own wife. He probably got mixed up with something he shouldn't and doesn't want his wife to find out. Unfortunately, NJS is about to open a bomb lol. A lot of people are gonna get screwed by the end of this.

Lee Sang Yoon Jokes About The Possibility Of Dating Jang Nara In Real Life

Oct 30, 2019
by S. Cho

On-screen couple Lee Sang Yoon and Jang Nara recently answered a question about the possibility of them dating in real life!

On October 29, the duo currently starring in “VIP” as a married couple made an appearance on SBS’s “Night of Real Entertainment.” “VIP” is about a team in charge of the VIP clients of a department store and tells the story of working women who are trying to survive in both the workforce and in their marriages. Jang Nara plays Na Jung Sun, who is the vice-chief of the VIP task force and a regular wife to her husband Park Sung Joon, played by Lee Sang Yoon.

Regarding their relationship, Jang Nara explained, “Since we’re the same age, we call each other by name and became close quickly.” Lee Sang Yoon commented on their kiss scene, saying, “It was the first scene we filmed at eight in the morning. Even though it was the house our characters both live in, it was the first time I had been there. I worried about it from the day before.” Jang Nara added, “Before we filmed the kiss scene, I was really nervous and embarrassed, but once we were really filming, there wasn’t anything like that.”

When asked about the potential of the two dating in real life, Lee Sang Yoon nonchalantly answered, “There is nothing that has zero potential.” However, after looking at Jang Nara’s expression, he hilariously commented, “Her eyes are asking what on earth I’m talking about.”

Regarding the drama, Lee Sang Yoon shared, “For every ending until the finale, it will be good to keep watching while anticipating the next episode.”

Jang Nara And Lee Sang Yoon’s New No. 1 Drama “VIP” Enjoys Rise In Ratings For 2nd Episode

Oct 30, 2019
by E. Cha

SBS’s new drama “VIP” is on the rise!

“VIP” is a new melodrama about the hidden secrets of a team that handles VIP clients at a department store. Jang Nara stars as the smooth-talking, highly competent Na Jung Sun, whose world is turned upside down when she receives a mysterious text message about her husband and team leader Park Sung Joon (played by Lee Sang Yoon) that throws her seemingly perfect marriage into peril.

Just two episodes into its run, “VIP” is already the most-watched drama of Monday and Tuesday nights. After premiering to strong ratings the night before, “VIP” remained the drama with the highest viewership ratings of the evening on October 29. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama scored average nationwide ratings of 6.5 percent and 7.6 percent for its two parts, marking a significant increase in viewership from the previous night (when it scored ratings of 5.9 percent and 6.8 percent).

“VIP” performed even better in the Seoul metropolitan area, where it scored average ratings of 6.9 percent and 8.2 percent, with viewership peaking at 9.4 percent for the night. Among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, the October 29 episode of “VIP” scored average ratings of 2.2 percent and 2.7 percent.
