I don't know why but I felt so bored as I started watching yesterday's eps so I skipped many parts! But what's that ending?! This is really confusing! Who is he really having an affair with?! I haven't got a clear hint yet! I want some growth in plot so that I can watch it without skipping!

And Jung Sun really has a mental disorder or something! That's why she's so aggressive & negative! And she even worry about her dreams of her husband kissing some other lady! And is it really a real scene that she & hubby kissed on the bed?! Or is it also one of her dreams just to get some peace in to her mind?! :o

And I guess I am not that in to this drama as with yesterday's eps... Nothing good to learn! Just need some refreshment to replace this cheating stuff & all that! :(

And I suddenly miss Jang Na Ra in a sweet drama with a loving husband besides her, just like Babyfaced Beauty, Fated To Love You & Go Back Couple! Her latest dramas seem stressful to international viewers despite high Korean ratings!!

Why does everyone thinks that FL has a mental disorder? Did I miss something?! Anyways I really don't understand her because her character isn't my type. She's too oblivious and delusional. What kinda woman doesn't mind her hubby cheating as long as nobody finds out? That sounds bizarre in so many ways lol

Coming back to reality, I hate these infidelity cases especially in corporate world. My work life is too dramatic because of those. For instance my boss is having a fling with my subordinate while being married to one of my close friends. Every year he wants to promote my subordinate with no solid justification. Funny thing is he doesn't know that I know about his so called fling lol. Moreover a friend of mine who's a playboy, is having a thing with this married woman who's working in one of our branch offices. She left her hubby and 4 year old daughter couple of months back for my friend. I feel like throwing up at these lunatic muggles. Tbh I don't need to watch drama because I practically live in one *sigh*

Hm still havent read the whole thread but i keep thinking about the drama so i need to write some stuff down :D

Wow are there so many on the split personality train? I didnt really think about it but i am going to watch the next episodes with that tought in mind. Not really convinced yet though. It would explain the email from her computer though. Hm...

From how i see it he doesnt have an affair with neither of the coworkers. They all have their own seperate story.

I think there is some kind of conspiracy in the company where he knows some stuff he shouldnt know. Probably has something to do with the 2 directors they keep showing fighting. He has a one night stand and gets blackmailed. Or maybe he got drugged and doesnt remember anything. The messages he gets are threats.

Which leaves the email that Jung Sun recieves. It doesnt make sense that the blackmailers sent it to her without telling the husband about it to further pressure him. Although some IT guy at the company would have the tools to send it from her computer.

Based of her facial reactions etc i had Hyun A as my clear favorite to send the email to Jung Sun. She knows that they are fighting, is worried about her. (which would also fit to the mental disorder theory.. hm..)

The email was sent in the night after they all went back to the company right? But what could she have seen? I dont think it's Song Mi-Na or On Yoo-Ri. Maybe she saw one of them with him that night and misinterpreted it. But she doesnt seem like the type to make up rumors let alone sending that email if she wasnt sure about it. It doesnt really fit.

Just read Viki's summary of third preview and it said Hyun Ah lost the promotion to Jung Sun and took a child care leave before returning to work in the same group.  I didn't remember them mentioning child care.  Where is husband? Where is child?  She is shown alone after work.  If no husband, whose child is it?

Someone is sending SungJoon messages: "I miss you."  "Can I see you?" "I'm having a hard time."  He lied to Jung Sun about being with the VP after team meeting and said, "It is over."  "It was an accident."  There is/was definitely another woman, he refused to deny it to her; said he could not deceive her.  That other woman is still contacting him and wanting to continue the affair.  He has other secrets (money or blackmail), but there is evidence of an affair, also.

LOL, I have to wonder if we are watching the same drama?  Split personality???  Wha???  I can't even imagine seeing that in this story.  Obviously it is a TOUGH time for our lead and probably a completely normal reaction to such a life altering event.  What is worse than betrayal?

I can't figure this one out which is what makes it interesting to watch, so many are sooooo predictable.  So far, this one has been well written, I just hope they can see it through with the same skill.

Woah, this is getting interesting. The ending for ep 4 is really good. Who sent that text to JS? She can’t be having split personality cause that text arrived while she was getting ready for bed. Someone else must had access to her computer. Or they hired a really good hacker.

i know deep down that SJ didn’t cheat. However there’s so many mysteries yet to be revealed. We’ll just have to wait until next week then.

I am also not getting any split personality vibes from JS. I think what became confusing for us is separating whether a scene is a real flashback or just pure imagination from JS. Paranoia maybe, but not seeing any sign of split personality.

Some of my guesses:

- YR might not be the mistress of the VP but instead an illegitimate daughter.

- I doubt MA is having any affair with SJ. Juggling with two sons and an irresponsible husband, she won’t have the mood to have any romantic affairs. Well, unless is to sleep with higher-ups, for promotion, maybe, ie.for benefit. But I still doubt she will do that.

- If indeed JS has paranoia (or any other mental disorder), it could be due to the loss of baby. Or stress of giving birth, that she accidentally killed her baby (then suppressed the memory) and that’s why SJ is very careful around her in order not to open up old wounds. Their relationship is definitely strained. But I doubt this angle as well because then she wouldn’t be able to perform so well at work.

- I also don’t think anyone at all in the drama is sleeping around.

Anyway, after 4 episodes, I am still on the fence whether I will continue watching because I don’t think the writer can keep hanging the mystery like that throughout the episodes and then give a satisfactory wrap up only towards the end. I felt that the mystery has not progressed even after 4 episodes. Not enough tidbits reveal to keep viewers (ie.me) engaged.

Hang on @ktcjdrama I believe that there is no affairs between ladies team members with SJ. But  JR? If she is connected to VP as his illegitimate daughter, why was she dressing not her usual self? Meeting at hotel room?

SJ may be suffering from depression...due to miscarriage?

(the preview of episode 5, ‘the blue pill will let you stay in the world you believe in...while the RED pill will lead you to the truth’ )

I have no choice but to continue watching LOL

Will JS still be holding SJ’s hands even during hard times?

Its very typical whn husbands cheat, society will put the blame on the wives (esp by in-laws!!)..

Husband behaving very suspiciously, exchanging envelopes with lots of cash, hope he is not a high-class "pimp"?? Or secretly is also working as an "investigator"?

Of course it’s purely a wild guess from me. Maybe because the father said “I bought you all these good stuff, wear them!” As for why hotel room, I did think about it too, but maybe basically they don’t want to be caught meeting?

Okay, off to watch first episode again.

Could a timer be set so that the message is sent at a later time?

Still, I can’t imagine someone with a split personality be able to think and scheme like this?

I am here for Jang Nara but I also like that nothing is as it seems in this drama.

Been looking forward to this drama for two reasons: Jang Nara and Lee Sangyoon, two of Korean actors I follow.

Their chemistry is palpable. This is a mature drama in its truest sense, judging from the theme and the execution of scenes.

It's great to watch Jang Nara again in a contemporary drama where she plays a more sophisticated career woman. She's one of the most underrated actresses in Korea. She has acting depth and range rarely found in most Korean actresses. Her subdued performance is not a commonplace among a majority of Korean actresses.

Of course, I would always watch LSY if he has good chemistry with her screen partner, just like what he has with LBY in MDSY and Whisper and KHS/GHS in Angel Eyes.

The drama's narrative on infidelity is nothing new. The difference is that (as put by previous posts) it's like solving a crime of who kills who, which is a unique take on the oft-repeated tale of philandering spouses.

So far, it's worth hanging in there to find out. And it helps that JN has always been mature in portraying realistic love scenes, with nary any qualms about it, which is a mark of a gifted actress.

Their bed scene in E4 (or E7-8) is realistic, a rarity in Korean dramas. So if only for this realism, this drama would be worth discussing.

But at the end of the day, it's really also the chemistry of not just JN and LSY but the ensemble acting of the entire leading cast that would take us down the road.

Jang Nara And Lee Sang Yoon Keep The Romance Alive In Making-Of Video For “VIP”

Nov 8, 2019
by S. Park

A new making-of video has been released for “VIP”!

On November 7, SBS gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the actors on set.

Jang Nara entered the set with bright greetings for the cast and crew. She and Lee Sang Yoonjoked around while filming scenes together.

Speaking about her line, “I think you just fell for me,” Jang Nara said that her face was getting hot because she felt embarrassed. Lee Sang Yoon suggested that she say it with more enthusiasm and improvised a sharp response fit for his strait-laced character.

Jang Nara then spaced out in between takes by cutting a piece of paper. Turning to the camera, Lee Sang Yoon said, “This is what happens when you film a winter scene in the summer,” and the actress quickly caught on that he was making jokes about her.

The cast then headed to a karaoke room to film the scene where Lee Sang Yoon’s and Jang Nara’s characters celebrated their first wedding anniversary at a team dinner. After applauding Lee Sang Yoon for his sweet serenade, Lee Chung Ah and Jang Nara praised Lee Sang Yoon’s “innocent acting.”
