@USAFarmgirl @ktcjdrama I can understand why LSY did such a thing. It is not just about protecting the person he loves. He has a huge trauma. We shouldn't forget that back then he tried to protect his hyung and failed miserably. He got hurt and even his hyung abandoned him which triggered a lot of negative emotions: frustration, resent, anger, disappointment and feeling of failure. So by hurting the thug, all his emotions that had been kept hidden for so long were triggered. Deep down, the thug reminded him of the past, although he is unaware of the actual connection. If Choi MJ, YSK and Jang knew about the circumstances of the accident, they would have judged him differently. However, I am sure that no one is unaware how the accident occurred. They all believe that this was an accident because he keeps saying that he had an accident. 

I hope, this time LSY won't be alone when he will face the past again... and DK will be by his side.

@bebebisous33 I can understand him beating up the guy and turning him in... just that I feel that there is no need to beat him up to that extent. It was rage talking instead of justice. His purpose was to inflict pain and hurt on that guy, instead of catching him. He almost killed the guy. But, I can also understand why he lost control of his emotion because just earlier we saw how helpless and useless he felt at the park when he was wheelchair bound. What Jang said was really wise though, that what he has is a gift, and he should use it wisely. Reminded me of Spiderman

I also think that it was intended by the writer to build up the friendship between the OTP with the security couple. I'm sure they will come to SY-YR's aid when they're met with trouble with the gang. I wonder though whether there will be more people knowing SY's real condition after YR. So far we have Jang, Yang, Choi and YR knowing. Will the security couple also find out?

Thanks @triplem  me too. I am worried sick of SY.... seems the Ahjussi found some serious problems. Perhaps SY’s health report? And those thugs bad guys really worrying too. Arrrghhh.....  

Even the banging on the wall scenes cannot make it to the worry SY brought this time. Sigh.

Couldnt watch the whole ep so i'll just provide parts that i can recall. Not in order, though:

 

1) YR seems spooked by the revelation of SY's bionic arm. They talk a bit and then she excuses herself to leave.  Clearly she needs time to process the news.  Once she left,  SY's nose bleeds. 

 

2) NYJ cooking breakfast with YR in the kitchen too.  She is asking NYJ's opinion since she has guy trouble and thinks that NYJ can provide an input since she has a boyfriend too, lol.  NYJ looks super flustered. 

 

3) ODG's parents and grandparents show up at the airport since it is his birthday.  They're all treating him like a lil kid and he is just embarrassed coz of them..  So cute..  As oDG and NYJ escort them to the elevator to leave, YR comes there too.  ODG introduces YR to his family.  His family is so smitten at YR's beauty and politeness.  His grandpa/dad asks if she is married and clearly wants to set them up.  All the while,  ODG keeps getting flustered at telling them to stop it. Meanwhile,  NYJ clearly looks super jealous at the whole thing.  ODG keeps looking back at her too.  Finally,  NYJ just coldly blurts out that YR already has a bf.  His family looks disappointed and YR also admits that she is dating someone else.  

 

4) the elevator opens and ODG quickly rushes his family in to leave. He clearly cares very much what NYJ thinks of him and his family since she has that stoic look on.  After they left,  ODG tries to explain himself to NYJ since she looks upset.  NYJ says his family really likes YR. ODG says it's coz she is good at greeting the elders? However,  he quickly says how he is not like that, and he says something else looking all flustered and worried about what NYJ thinks.  Dunno what he says but she finally smiles.  

 

5) SY sees SIW in discussion with gang leader,  he recalls the dude beating up SIW the night of the accident. He confronts SIW later and says something like how can you not care what happened to me but still associate yourself with the bad guys. SY getting teary and SIW is too but he keeps pushing SY away and be his mean cold self.  He tells SY to get lost and not show himself in front of him or something.  Gang leader makes eye contact with SY.  Both look at each other. 

 

6) YR finds a sad-looking SY on a bench. She tells him what happened earlier with ODG's family and mentions that NYJ told the family that YR already has a bf.  SY is surprised to hear this.  And checks with her again if she is okay with him.  She tells him they cant talk here and needs to go somewhere private.  She pulls him along to a deserted corridor. 

 

7) cute scene like in the preview where she pushes him against the wall to see his reaction. He does the same to her but inches much closer to her face. They laugh and YR tells him that she loves him.  She says ILY multiple times.  He is stunned.  Then my stupid connection broke off and next we see them hugging.

 

8 ) The security team members leave presents on ODG's desk.  He unwraps each and NYJ looks nervous.  I think they ask him to choose his fave gift and guess the giver.  He obviously tries hard to choose something NYJ gave. He picks up a pair of socks and says they are not his style.  Socks are cute and cartoonish though. He remembers her going into a shop and picks up a cute neck pillow with a hoodie. Turns out another guy bought it for him and the socks he dislikes are from her.  They all leave the room and NYJ stays behind a bit. ODG tries to explain himself to her but she is hurt and upset so she leaves. He looks flustered at what he's done

 

9) team dinner including Yr and SY.  They drink and go for karaoke. YR having fun while Sy watches.  His nose bleeds again and he rushes to the toilet.  He sees his right shoulder is bruised and remembers Jang's words abt permanent damage to his nerves. 

 

10) YR and SY walk home together.  He tries to hide his troubles. YR grabs on to his right arm and says she is looking forward to Christmas. She asks him what they'll do on Christmas. He remembers telling Choi he will quit in a month so he doesnt want to answer her question.  She asks him if he is okay since he looks sick. He says he is fine.  He hugs her tightly and Jang sees them. 

 

10) Jang goes to YR's house and introduces himself.  He mentions about the favor he needs from her but ep ends without knowing what it is. 

No preview. 

 

Side story:

Mr Gong's daughter caught skipping school to chase after idol at an airport.  Tons of father daughter fight.  All is resolved in the end. 

 

SIW brings the VP to a prominent meeting.  Gang leader keeps frequenting the airport. 

 

A bunch of men seem to be investigating SIW as they tail him around. One of the men meet with Choi and is actually Choi's junior.  Maybe police?  

 

Choi meets up with Jang to discuss SY and his beating of attacker. Jang seems troubled which is why he approached YR later for a favor

See... SY shiiii please be careful of your health! Of your nerves. Ohmo. I’m having dizziness thinking about him now. I wonder what could Jang asked YR to do. To nurse SY?? To be with him 24/7??? Aigooo.... here we go again. Another week of waiting... 

 

I sure hope so too @triplem that the cause is not YR. and that whatever the cause is would be curable.

I don't like today's episode! I'm so mad at YR's stupidity! By going head-on at the man who had a knife in his hand,  she put herself, her colleague and the other bystanders in danger. She should have stood a distance away and tried to calm the man down while waiting for the security. I think she was the one that caused herself to be stabbed and wasn't even reprimanded.

Its a Kdrama. Of course the female lead had to be stabbed. I don't even think I am sarcastic.

 

Also technically all front line staff will or should be trained in de-escalating volatile situations. Maybe the writer didn't write it in. Because reprimands wouldn't be my first thoughts. I would thought she would be having days off with 12 stitches in the arm. Plus actually having counselling arranged by the employers post incident. As being attacked at work is quite traumatizing. Then we can talk about how to handle future events.

 

I am not a bleeding heart do gooder. Personally I wouldn't have gone so close. On the other hand people don't normally go around stabbing others as well. I actually am trained to escape chokeholds and other similar situations. Sorry guys, real life intrudes on Kdrama fantasies. The point I am trying to make is that people don't react appropriately in real life even after being trained. Just that I remember having training done by airline trainers at one point in my career. I don't work in an airport by the way, just that I have various training before. My real life situations are worse than Kdramas some days. That's why I cut some slack. YR had to be in danger at some point. Not every job is safe. Mine was quite violent the last month or so. I was kicking myself just a few weeks ago for assuming the situation was safe..Luckily it turned out ok but it was a reminder that one has to be vigilant to remain safe during work.

 

Ok. Back to the episode today. Lol. Oh Dae Gi is going to have difficulty digging himself out of the hole. Hahaha. Seriously dude way to go commenting on the socks. NYJ was curt and really disappointed and ODG is really adorable with his " oh richard simmons I am in trouble now " look. He is definitely interested and him trying to explain why he doesn't like or what kind of girls he likes is frankly adorable and cute.

 

I love, love this potential couple. The more the writer makes him self conscious and fumble the cuter he becomes. I wonder how the writer will make NYJ fall for him. I think ODG will confess first. And knowing those 2 it will be in a totally embarrassing moment. Love it. Looking forward to it so much. I would love it even more if she flips a suspect to the ground in front of his family. I would die laughing at the absolute horror on their faces. Their poor precious ODG will be bullied by a wife such as this on their expressions.

 

I am killing myself laughing thinking about it. Night all.

My first thoughts about episode 13's beginning and without subs is a bit of disappointment in the writing of YR's character in her response to SY and his robotics.  I get that she has some fear that goes way back in just being bullied and feeling as if she was different.  Yet in a way forgive me but that to me makes it even more disappointing in that if anyone should understand the pain of being looked down on or thought of as different shouldn't she?  Wouldn't she have felt his fear in showing her his true self and placing himself at her feet in asking and hoping from her acceptance...

 

I think what I don't agree with is how her character has always seemed one way and today to see her treat SY like a stranger almost trembling while holding that cup and seeming to not even have the courage to hand it to him before leaving but placed it on the table as if she couldn't even get close to him.  Mind you I didn't really think she would say all those words I posted or that in reality she would plant a big kiss on him ( OK I HOPED LOL ).  But showing fear instead of compassion I can't see that in the person I believed her to be...

 

Some will say that I am being harsh and that it would truly be a shock but I believe that she has always realized something was different about him and now when he takes the courage to reveal himself in such a humble way this reaction just didn't feel right.  Not to mention it felt as if they actually skipped the best part that wouldn't allow us to see her first reaction when they were in the bedroom.  It's as if they fast forward past it to her already drinking in the living room...

 

I realize this is the writers story not mine but Oh how amazing that moment could have been.  It's like they had such an opportunity right there in the palm of their hands and just let it slip like sand through their fingers...

@USAFarmgirl I am thinking exactly like you... I was disappointed in YR's reaction (I just read the recap). YR has been presented as a pure soul and her reaction doesn't fit to this description.

First time posting for this show, but I couldn't help it, there  was a scene in yesterday's episode that reminded me of Cheese In The Trap, when the pervert hits Seoul and then Jung follows him to an alley and starts hitting him. Both scenes felt very similar to me. Though Jung and SY are very different.
