I miss those student days at times. felt simpler. random ideas as I am in the mood: how about tree planting or if you are looking at tech company, then recycling of metals? or you can look at the cafeteria and what to do with waste food? heating/ac bills -- so looking at whether the architecture is contributing to carbon footprint? or getting the employees to spend a day in the park to raise environmental awareness?

@Lmangla Yeah. Miss those days too. When my only problem was what to eat for dinner. Life was simple and straightforward then.

I´m here. The new semester has just started and I´m already over it.

We are supposed to do a group assignment about environmental awareness with the goal of developing a strategy for a company. Today was the first meeting with my group and we were sitting there with no idea what to do :joy:

@Sarang21 Just some suggestions which I practise myself in my home. Start with the fundamental things-electrical for example. Go for 5-6 star energy rating appliances-the aircons use a lot of carbon footprint. Fridges etc. TVs, computers on standby also take more energy than you think. More later. Gotta type my number in :D

Aaron Yan is another outspoken artist from Taiwan....however what he said in this case is true

I hate cyberbullies ! That is a huge passion for me bcos of my sons. Teenagers are cyberbullied a lot. And those bullies hide behind "the computer screen" and there's a herd instinct. Once the lead bully starts, others will follow. In Malaysia it's not highlighted enough. In Australia,USA there's a lot of discussion on it so that's good. I was wondering if I should say this but I've decided to address it.That time when @Sushimi and gang were attacking me, that was cyberbullying. I was v grateful to @angelangie @Asohib for their kindness and for @cenching for deciding not to join them. I went along with it just to see how long they were going to carry on for. Obviously they weren't going to stop. I purposely gave up after that. Why doesn't Soompi address that? Our LGX/ZLY ship was cyberbullied too till we decided to report it after a long time.

@Sarang21 Companies can think of solar panels tho that's v expensive cos need a lot. I'm sure you've thought of putting recycling bins at every floor in the company. Encourage the staff to decrease their plastic usage by bringing their own bottles for water to work. They can use these bottles to refill at the water refill station. Also if they buy takeaway a lot, then take their own containers like tiffin carriers, etc to work. Refuse plastic straws when they buy drinks. That's why stainless steel straws are the rage now overseas.

@triplem it happened a couple of months ago. I know they are long time friends of yours and your well meaning gesture to resolve any misunderstanding. I'm matured and seasoned so I'm not hitting out of anger. If I was, I'll have left this thread. I and some parents form a task force against cyberbullying in my sons' school. The other parents are doctors, lawyers,IT specialists, psychologists and police. We've studied and researched all patterns of cyberbullying-from the mild to the severe. We cooperate with the principal of the school to weed out cyber bullying. @Sushimi's case is a mild case but it is what it is. I've thought long and hard whether to bring it up since I've let it rest for so long. But Aaron's article made me decide to address it. I know there'll be repercussions for me addressing it. Sometimes the person doesn't even know he/she is doing it and the others join in the fun. But for the recipient, it's not fun. I wasn't affected emotionally by it like a teenager would be. But putting myself in the shoes of a young person -that person might be especially if the person was a newbie like me to this thread. I decided to address it to raise awareness that what we do in the cyber world can have repercussions we aren't aware of especially when we think it's for fun.

@Sushimi No hard feelings.

@Dhakra i'm sorry for the late reply. Regarding hiding your feelings for a girl because the timing and situations are not right, i'd like to quote an example from one of my fav dramas of all time. This guy didn't get the girl, and I was heartbroken for many days after this show ended like that. But this quote hit me hard and I kinda appreciated the writers for going this way. Tsundere guys will not always get the girls. It happens only in the dramas. LOL.
