This is another possibility. Someone jealous of their happy marriage. But cheating with a male?

if he is cheating with a male co worker, this is even worst and such a HUGE betrayal in their marriage

I mean why would someone threw a curveball and say he is cheating with a male colleague? Hahaha.. gosh, i have work stress but even that angle had me burst out laughing... haiz.. 

 

It doesnt look like Sung Jun told the wife who the girl is in the next episode, hence the wife is still trying to figure out who the girl is... haiz Sung Jun ahhhh, u do know ur wife is suffering right, just tell her what ure doing and how it came about and be a good husband to your wife again... but i was surprised that they have been married for 7 years, hence the wife probably wants to have a baby now...

 

I also am not looking fwd to another 5 episodes of who 'did' it with sung Jun... Seriously right... we wanna know whats the conspiracy with the made-up affair... haiz

@sasha1818 Well, it would be one of the first times we would see the husband cheat with a male co-worker in a Korean drama...
All is fair when speculating who the villain is, though!

When "Red Moon Blue Sun" was airing, the thread suspected everyone and I mean everyone of being the serial killer. This included a very old man in a wheelchair who could barely move between two rooms. I think only the kids were left off the suspect list. I guess that's why it's so fun to watch thrillers and mysteries.

I think that there were issues between our couple already before this "cheating incident", but that it wasn't addressed. Not sure if this has been discussed on this thread, but do you think there is a meaning behind the fact that our married couple don't have a child after 7 years of marriage? It seems like they were trying to get pregnant, albeit without success. I assume this could have caused some friction between the couple. But was there something else going on as well?

The issue between the couple was the fact that they haven't conceived. Remember, the night she finds out about the affair, she had gotten off work on time, bought some lingerie, prepared a romantic dinner and was hoping to seduce her husband so she could get pregnant. I bet his mother has said some things to her about it because when she showed up, she was quick to leave once she realized what her DIL was planning. They have been married for what, 6-7 years? That is unusual for a married couple in Korea. JS appears to be quite the perfectionist and not conceiving is probably weighing on her more than she has let on. She and her husband have a weird relationship in my opinion. They are very curt with each other at work, and I understand they have to be professional, but they are almost like strangers. Their home feels dark and unwelcome. They seem uncomfortable around one another and this was before the affair became known. I am not convinced the husband is cheating either, but he is harboring a secret about something and keeping it hidden has placed a burden on their marriage. NY said that JS likes to fix everything and that is probably the biggest reason he hasn't told his wife anything.

In the last preview, JS got something during her wedding celebration flashback , I think it was her wedding 'cause she was wearing her wedding dress. The voiceover said she was puzzled. Maybe he went into the marriage with some unsavoury secret , and the 'affair' was just a continuation?

 

Is there any mention of being childless? I don't think that is the issue. He is just secretive. We don't know anything about his family.

 

The guy has one expression for 80% of the time, am I the only one who notices that? Actually, he is just C+ or B- actor to me. Ouch ouch.... don't hit me.

I too wonder if ML is bisexual judging by whatever was going on in the previous episodes. He's clearly reluctant to reveal anything related to his so called affair to FL and at the same time he's not willing to let her go either. I just hope they won't drag this affair secret for too long because the plot is moving kinda slow right now compared to the initial episodes

I'm really enjoying the drama. I like the suspense and the subplots that are going on. I'm still going with PJS not having an affair with anyone on the team. If I remember correctly, the plot of the story was NJS would unravel her team members' secrets while trying to find out who is having an affair with PJS. Everyone seems to have their own secrets including NJS for the viewers to speculate (like the door across from their bedroom). Still think it's a nursery. In one of the translated bio posters I saw, it mentioned them struggling for years to conceive and when they finally did, she had a miscarriage. Twice now they've mentioned kids for them (her MIL and mother).  I also love the emotional display that JNR is displaying. You can really see what her character is feeling. Looking forward to next week's episodes and how the story will keep going and unraveling.

I, too, suspected a miscarriage.  She stands in front of closed door several times, and I thought it might be a nursery.  Something is uncomfortable between them, and it could be a miscarriage and his inability to express his emotions and comfort her.  But she was trying to get pregnant, so she was still trying to make it work.  If it turns out that he is the father of Mi Na's baby, it will kill JS, and I can't see how they put things back together.  Also, some of SJ's secretive behavior is about JS's mother.  I don't think it will be the male co-worker; there have been no smoldering glances or any clues that way.

If it's true, i think it was a drunk one-night-stand from very long time before his marriage. Homosexual is still a burden in S Korea society, so he tries to hide it. But i suspect this Sang Woo guy is a mole from rival company who tries destroy our VIP customer service , he looks innocent but sometime he talk seem normal but very suspicious if you notice.

Friend, the ratings for our VIP drama is not even 10% in average! Of course I wish it could hit 15% by episode 8 LOL

so try not to make thing worse.

 

I still believe that Mina is pregnant with his legal husband...in the preview next week, she stares at Park SungJoon because she is afraid that she will lose her promotion again...hope she will not opt for an abortion kk

“VIP” released new stills of Kwak Sun Young’s suspicious visit to the hospital.

In the SBS drama, the actress plays Song Mi Na who has been disqualified from getting promoted due to two parental leaves during her six years in the company. Unable to deal with the burden, she left her family behind to find her own life. However, attention has been focused on her because of her suspicious behavior.

In the last episode, Song Mi Na refused to return home despite her husband Lee Byung Hoon’s (Lee Jae Won‘s) earnest rem, she returned to her seat and gazed at Park Sung Joon (Lee Sang Yoon) while venting her rage. It made viewers curious about the father of her unborn baby.

In the newly unveiled stills, Song Mi Na is visiting a gynecologist for medical treatment. Her expression is serious as she receives her diagnosis, and she looks completely downtrodden as she leaves the doctor’s office. In another set of photos, her face is pale as she gets an IV drip, and she appears to be at a loss as to what to do. With the mysteries being unveiled one by one, viewers are wondering if Song Mi Na is the one who had an affair with Park Sung Joon.

The production crew explained, “Kwak Sun Young is showing depth in her acting with only her eyes and facial expressions. Her unique vibe that oozes stability and comfort seems to create a maximized effect when met with the character’s anxiety. She will be passionately acting in her role as Song Mi Na in the upcoming seventh episode that will air on November 25.”

“VIP” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST.

I still refuse to believe that married chick is the one who's having an affair with ML. She's simply desperate to get a promotion by hook or crook but even if she ever gets into an affair, I bet it would be with someone more influential like that marketing head dude or the CEO. Highly doubt she'd settle for the ML. Ughh I hate these corporate politics and people using influence for career progression. Corporate world sucks y'all *sigh*

 

Out of all the story-lines I'm more intrigued about the strong headed single woman's story. She's my fav character of this show

Maybe they should make MN stronger. Right now she seems rather pathetic,  leaving two young kids to an inept husband. Instead, kick him out. Now she is the one bunking in a cheap place. There are a lot of mothers who are doing well in the corporate world because they are strong, juggling many roles.

 

HA should get her own man.

There are cool working moms out there who don't give in & survive through the cutthroat business world but this chick is far from that. Tbh I'm least interested about her character out of the entire cast

On the contrary I think she is the most likely the one that having an affair with PSJ. It may happened as an accident but to me they did have an affair briefly.  To me it is very cliché to have the best friend (LHA) to back stab by having an affair with your husband as she likes him first and has been liking him for years since uni. And what more among all she is the one giving the ‘mistress’ vibe from her style. 

 

As for Yuri I also find it cliché if they made he cheated with a younger girl then brings her to join the team to be closer. If he already ended the relationship this is the last thing he will do. Furthermore, Yuri used to work as sample girl at the supermarket and PSJ has always been in the VIP management team. I don’t think the VIP came to the mall to shop at the supermarket! So the likelihood for PSJ to have an affair with Yuri is slim. Considering he is a boring type of man (so does Yuri, she is quite timid), I don’t think he would be the brave one making a move on Yuri.

 

my guess is Song MiNa really wants the promotion badly, so she tried her best to be on the good side of PSJ. Maybe they entertained a client together once until outside office hours. Both probably get drunk and they had a one night stand. They may or may not continue the affair after but it must be a brief affair. I think SMN has been threatening PSJ for her promotion but he did nothing on it. This may result she is helping the marketing team as it seems like it is easier to be promoted there.  N now she is pregnant maybe she will used it as her wild card to get the promotion.  

 

That is my take on these 3 ‘possible mistress’.

Omg . I’m behind a week . too many dramas 

But I am excited at this cameo . Shim Hee Seop is a very good actor who does quite abit of indie movies & stage work . He was so good in the OCN drama -  Children of a Lesser God . I hope he returns with a drama soon. But seems he is here as a VIP customer
