Yes, that's a great scene, chingu! :glasses:

But you know people are saying that this must be father and son since both were scammed in the same way :crybaby:

i like this drama! its much closer to heart, and how the director showcase the mini stories of the local jeju people and their walks of life..

Me too likes this drama for the ambience it gives with all those little stories of local jeju people,

again its writer Noh hee Kyung after all.

But guess what

The jeju local people are like "Indian aunties and uncles"

All nosy nosy :loolz:

sometimes yeah and only sometimes its truly out of love and care but  at times thats really annoying

But again like @confusedheart said the affinity and bonding is stronger in small towns

yes!! actually i don't blame the 3 friends who were spamming her with Han Su family photos and updates about his debt etc.. for a friend who left so long without keeping in touch and back with a probable agenda, they would definitely side with Eun Hui to try protect her.. as much as the 2 also borrowed money from her, at least it was an upfront outright borrowing, not through some sneaky means. but she is really big hearted, she cried her heart out when he confessed his plot.. before that, i was also disgusted when he put his arm around her shoulder.. if we didn't know of his scheme, i would still think it was ok as a buddy.. but we knew we knew we knew!!

Couldnt agree more sis.

But that woman have got such a big heart.

How thoughtful and considerate she was regardless of the taint that first love put in her colourful memories she had in her childhood.

The woman has gone through alot and it was only these little things in her teens that brought colors to her colorless life and the fact that this man ruined to it so badly make my heart sink.

I couldnt relate to him when he said that he planned to have a trip to mokpo with her to make some memories in her so called boring tiring life coz all i could see was how manipulative he was from the very first place. I was not sympathetic to him at all and his words were like an excuse for me.

But later when he wrote that long mssg to her, i could see a light of my empathy towards him

It was the best story. I completed ep 4. I liked the beginning because we got to know a little about Shin Min Ah's character. I really do find her, the truck driver and his mom's story intriguing.

I don't much care about Han Ji Min's story. Probably had a 'toxic' relationship with an abusive man, controlling man.

I agree. And the affinity and bonding is way stronger in small towns.

Am i you or you are me ?

(Except that I am not rooting for ultimate cardboard oppa :tounge_wink:)

Exactly chingu

Am not much into Han Ji Min's story but am really eager to know shin min ah's story, lee byung hun's story

Me too chingu

Anyone using MSI or Razer gaming laptop? Can I have your feedback? :D Also, Ryzen or stick to Intel? @Sleepy Owl?

Chingu depends on why you are buying it actually. If it is for gaming purpose, I suggest going for Ryzen is better since it has better performance and lesser heating issues.

Intel's 12th Gen processors seem to be doing a good as well, but I believe the laptops having them are still limited and would still be pretty expensive as well.

I don't have both MSI and Razer gaming laptop, I am using a Predator right now.

At the moment, I think JG recognizes her, but she doesn't recognize him thats why he is so seemingly annoyed.

We know she worked for him in the Escort Division for a time, and that she left without consulting him first.  So coupled with her suicide, I could see him mistakenly feeling betrayed that she has thrown him aside twice.

Chingu, I might be in the minority here, but I feel like that they are related in a more complicated way than being lovers in the past life and JG being murdered by Koo Ryeon.

I will need to get back to check out the scenes again, but I wonder if the websites actually assumed the young boy to be JG instead of it being confirmed (seeing how Asianwiki changed the name as well).

For now, I do think that they were lovers in the past, not really sure if they did end up together or something else happened. Maybe he was killed by someone else and Koo Ryeon killed herself after taking the revenge. But then again this is just an assumption.

@partyon Noona, Koo Ryun surely still has the memories of her past life since we already saw a flashback in ep 5 and she was the one thinking about it.

This drama is different in many ways, but we have seen in many previous dramas that Grim Reapers' past life memories were actually wiped out, and also there have been dramas where the Grim Reaper were shown to be sinners who could not be reincarnated and so they were given the option to become Grim Reaper, serve for certain amount of years before getting the chance to reincarnate (just like they did in Goblin). Its just that they do not know that they were sinners in the past life (since their memories from past life has been cleared).

I believe somewhere in the drama, I think in 2nd ep they had said that those who commit suicide walk in endless regret in hell while listening to their loved one's mourns, which means they still remember their sin. Considering Koo Ryun to be a special case here, I think she has her memories intact because there still must be some price to be paid for committing the biggest sin, and so even the director couldn't wipe her memories while trying to make her Grim Reaper.

I think the fact that Koo Ryeon had to remain in hell that long (and she wasn't even repenting in hell like they showed), was because committed the biggest sin which was suicide, and so it must have been a lot more difficult for the director to have her become a Grim Reaper.

What we do know is that JG became Grim Reaper a lot earlier than Koo Ryun, so he either died much earlier (killed by someone else), or she served in hell longer since she killed herself.

Yes, we don't know if these were overzealous fans of Lee Soo Hyuk & Kim Hee Sun who edited Asianwiki and Mydramalist. I think most people are hoping they are ex-spouses though.

I think they were spouses but I think there was a great misunderstanding between the two of them. He probably died first (either by her hand or someone else's) and she committed suicide later. Maybe she felt remorse for not being able to save him? In the webtoon she commits suicide because:

Spoiler

Her son dies

But I think that they have made a lot of changes to the original webtoon here

Ooops, either I FFed that part or then I just didn't perceive it as her remembering back on certain things. I just thought they were random flashbacks. The editing and pacing in this drama has not been stellar, so it's hard to sometimes follow.

True, but it was also stated that if the red thread broke she would have no memories of her past soul mate. So there is a bit of a conflict here.

While it certainly could be a mix-up, I'm still going with them as a tragic couple, I now offer additional Exhibit A

Naver article on the casting of the young actor in question, the article clearly mentions both LSH and his role as the younger JG.

Aiming for either i7 or i9 latest gen processors or its Ryzen equivalent as much as possible for future-proofing. It should still be more than good enough 5 years after buying. :D

I saw one MSI Katana with i7 12th gen, it's around USD1,333.

The editing was really bad, but to me it was kinda obvious that she was remembering or rather thinking about those moments than it being randon flashbacks being shown to us.

Also I just checked the scene where Koo Ryun is being visited by the director, and the director says "Why don't you ask me to let you forget", which means that Koo Ryun definitely remembers her past life here. She did have her severed red thread too, and I think what she had asked director was to help her meet the person she was destined to be together with. So I do think that she didn't kill her husband, he was rather killed by someone else and she took the revenge on that person by killing him/her and then killing herself.

Again red thread does not signify bond with a single person, as they have hinted you can have that with several people, all those people with whom you are bound by destiny. So maybe she wants to meet someone else

Spoiler

Like her dead child, since his/her death led her to kill herself.

Although Director was being rather cryptic there, but I believe the person Koo Ryun is supposed to be saving is supposed to be the person she either wronged in her previous life or, is her destiny, or will lead her to meet the person she wants to meet.

I checked out that scene as well, and what they said was that once the red thread is broken, the bond between those 2 souls is broken and that they will never meet again (in the next lives). I don't think they forget about them while being punished in hell.

Yup, that's true. But the only drawback is that gaming laptops usually don't have a good battery backup. The most I have seen a gaming laptop give is 4-5 hours max.

This is mainly because the hardware consumes more battery, and also in case of several laptops they don't use higher capacity batteries since gaming laptops are well used for gaming and you are supposed to do gaming with your system plugged in and not on battery (never).

I've got Intel i7 10th gen, and it works really good. I would have gone with Ryzen, but my laptop didn't have any Ryzen variant then.

MSI laptops are usually good. I was actually going for MSI laptop before seeing my current one with better features and slightly more expensive.

You can check out Lenovo Legion series too, they have been dropping some really good laptops lately.
