I know this is a Binjin coupon thread and I should not be writing negative and discouraging things here but I just want to share my thoughts. I am the biggest Binjin shipper and I really hope that they will get married because they are just a match made in heaven. I haven’t seen anyone so compatible and beautiful as them. However the more articles and videos and BTS I read I am starting to have doubts on their relationship. I think they have dated after The Negotiation film promotion, hence the US trip but that was over a year ago and I think they have now broken up and are just really close friends. Their close interactions we see at interviews and many BTS are mainly because they are just good friends at the same age and both are A-list actors and have great chemistry so they are very comfortable with each other. The more I see the drama BTS the more I think they are just super good friends now. Many say HB is very quiet and serious and YJ has changed him. Yes some BTS showed a cheerful side of him but also many times we see him being all serious when YJ joked around. Eg : at the outdoor bush scene when YJ was joking around with the director HB said YJ was annoying and slightly shoved her. Chicken Beer scene when they were rehearsing HB had no emotions on his face. When he pushed her head away YJ laughed but he was dead serious. Someone also mentioned that at the hospital scene when YJ was fiddling his hair HB was all smiling but suddenly went back to serious mode after she let go. They say he got shy cos so many were watching but I just see him returning to his usual self. How about their reunion scene in South Korea, HB said the script didn’t say to hug but YJ initiated it so they ended up having the hugging scene. Also some shippers complained the kissing scenes, I noticed HB wasn’t even kissing YJ properly. The hospital scene and the border crossing scenes he was kissing the side of her lips. May be they have taken many times but the director just picked the worst shots. None of their kissing scenes were passionate, mostly zoomed out or with her arms covering their faces. It made me think that they avoided the kissing scenes. I watched YB old dramas’ BTS and he was also joking around and smiling and stuff, not the boring, emotionless guy many said he was I agree some CLOY BTS are very cute and he looked genuinely happy but if you watch the BTS of his take with Dan in Switzerland he looked at her way too sweet. I don’t think HB only give eye smiles and love stares to YJ, he also smiled sweetly and warmly to other female leads and concentrated when looking at them. The Swoon interviews are very sweet and they both looked very comfortable and happy. But I think they are mainly for drama promotions and they were doing their jobs and pleasing the fans. Both of them are in the entertainment business for almost 20 years and they know how to play the game and what the audience want. I personally think YJ now likes HB more and wants to go further. Even though I have my doubts I really want them to be together and get married. Can someone please tell me all my thinking is all wrong. Girl, being a shipper, you need to get ready to sail or sink. You can't join the ship if you are not willing to take all the risk. If your faith can't handle your doubts, just don't come aboard. Sincerely.

Also there weren’t enough space to fit all 3 of them. And the restaurant decoration is not the type of place I think we could find them there. For those who haven’t seen it, search Twitter and you will find it. It's not edited. V*ST message the owner of the Busan restaurant to taken down their pictures. Popular Post Helena
https://lifestyle.inquirer.net/358921/to-fight-stress-i-crash-landed-on-k-drama/ To fight stress, I crash-landed on K-drama By: Cathy S. Babao | Philippine Daily Inquirer | March 10, 2020 Hottest screen couple today: Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin It felt like I was the last woman standing. All these years, I had never caved in to the call of K-drama. I lived in Seoul, South Korea, for two years in the early 1990s. It was another life, I was a young wife and mother of a toddler. When I left in 1993, I never returned. It was a happy time, it was a sad time too. It was a very different South Korea from what it is today. The doors opened for Hallyu (Korean Wave) in 1999 when the government put in place several reforms that helped boost its economy into the force that it is today. Korean Wave refers to the global popularity of South Korea’s cultural economy exporting pop culture, entertainment, music, TV dramas and movies. To the uninformed, which includes myself before this writing, “Hallyu” is a Chinese term which, when translated, literally means “Korean Wave.” A collective term used to refer to the spectacular growth of Korean culture and pop culture. Twenty-one years late to the K-drama party, there is now no turning back. I intend to make it part of my life. It has become one of the best stress-busters I have discovered. Rave reviews What convinced me to finally cave in to this year’s biggest hit on Netflix, “Crash Landing on You” (CLOY) were the numerous comments of friends on social media, Facebook in particular, extolling the virtues of CLOY. I was struck by the number of male friends, and people whose opinions I respect, doctor friends etc.—all raving about the show. “Hmmm. There must be something here,” I thought. When I asked friends on Facebook to give me one good reason I should watch CLOY, two replies stood out for me. One, “because it will make your heart happy” (thank you Ina and Vladz), and two, because according to my friend, Boboy, “You’ll go to bed with a smile on your face.” For me, those two reasons were more than enough. To stay healthy, one needs to keep a happy heart, and well, who doesn’t want to go to bed with a smile, right? I completely got hooked because of three things—the amazing and engaging storytelling—the way these writers make us feel so deeply for the story and the characters is something I have never encountered; the way positive values are woven into the storyline and presented in each scene without being preachy or corny; and the rich dialogue with words that touch the depths of one’s heart and soul. What matters In CLOY, and I suppose in the other K-dramas, you will see and feel what you need to see and feel. The stories remind you of what matters in life. The storyline extols the virtues of unconditional love, friendship, duty and honor. A deep love of family and nation is a thread that runs through the 16-episode series. CLOY provides us all a respite from the sadness and stress that daily life brings. It makes us aspire to be better. A dear friend, who is going through a challenging time, said it best, “I feel like Hyun Bin is holding my hand through this transition period. K-drama is giving me something else to focus on as I wrap up this chapter of my life. Instead of being a sobbing mess as I pack 17 years of my life in boxes, I’m distracted by the need to pay attention to subtitles. My mind seeks refuge in the promise of the kind of love and passion that I hope to find in my next chapter. As fantastical as the premises are, the stories give a glimmer of hope. They are preparing my heart for what’s to come. They strengthen my resolve to seek what it is that I’m looking for.” Sibling love Because I’m a writer, I’m a sucker for dialogue that moves and inspires. Through the entire series, I would pause the episode to take copious notes. Here are some of my favorites. Warning: some spoilers ahead. “The wind needs to keep moving for me to fly.” This line by Yoon Se-ri, the lead female character, just before she embarked on what would be her greatest adventure, resonated with me. Often we are afraid of the winds of change but the truth is, we need those winds to help us break out, or leave our comfort zones and take us into places we would never imagine. Next time, change comes, face it, and welcome all the new beginnings that come with it. “A second feels like an eternity if you don’t know if your family member is alive.” Sibling love and rivalry is a running theme throughout CLOY. Captain Ri and Yoon Se-ri’s concept of family love are polar opposites. Watching this series will either make you appreciate your siblings more, or if you already have a fractured relationship, it can trigger deep-seated emotions and make you think more deeply about the future. “The world isn’t a flower field. You shouldn’t be good to people who beat you up. Those who throw punches don’t know how much it hurts. Only those who take punches do.” The world is filled with bullies. We can build a better world by choosing to be kind. Long-distance relationships “We don’t have to live together to be in love. True love is engraved in our hearts.” I always like to say that Captain Ri is the benchmark of a long-distance relationship (LDR) so those in an LDR will absolutely love the dynamics between the two star-crossed lovers in CLOY. Real love, after all, knows not the barriers of time or space. And in today’s world, there is always FaceTime. “In times of crisis what holds us together and gives us strength are happy memories or thoughts of those we love.” In times of crisis or sadness, what helps keep us afloat are precisely the memories and good thoughts of those we hold dear. After a loss or a separation, looking back on those moments provides great respite from the sadness. “You shouldn’t yearn for your first love for too long. It’s not good to drag on with anything. Whether it be people or love. Love from afar for a brief moment. That’s the best for everyone.” Essentially, what is being said here is that when it’s over, it’s over and one must move forward. Keep the good memories in your heart and continue to love them from afar and wish them well. “The person you should never forget in your life is not someone you hate but someone you like. While keeping someone you hate in your heart, your heart will be scarred and hurt. It will only be your loss. Keep only people you like in your heart. Only then can you eat well and sleep well.” Forgive and let go. It is the letting go that keeps one’s heart happy, and in the process, with time, forgiveness comes. Cheesy “Those who love each other will always meet again. No matter how far you are, you’ll always come back to each other. True love will always return.” Sounds cheesy but it’s true. This doesn’t just pertain to romantic love but also to friendship and family relations. I’ve lived long enough to see this happen in my clients, friends and in my own life. We love people, we lose people due to circumstances, events, choices. But always, those who are meant to be in our lives will always find their way back, or we always find our way back, no matter how long it takes. “I hope you won’t miss the small happiness that you can and must find in your everyday life.” In spite of everything that’s happening in the world, or in your life, happiness is something we choose every day. Life is too short to waste on moments being angry or sad about silly things. There is grace to be found everywhere. Some days you just need to be still and look a little harder, but it’s there waiting for you. Yoon Se-ri: What do I do if I miss you so much? Captain Ri: Just wait, and pray desperately. Light in the dark You asked if you can meet someone you miss that way. You can. There is a beautiful scene, and it is my biggest favorite of all (SPOILER!) where Se-ri is lost on a dark and lonely road, in a place completely alien to her. She stands in the middle of the road as people rush past her, looking anxious and afraid. Against the dark skies, a light emerges, and there he is walking toward her from the other end of the road his hand holding up a candle, lighting up the darkness, illuminating the way toward each other. Sometimes in life we lose our way, and by grace, we meet people who show us the way back through the light they bring into our lives. In that scene, I imagine Se-ri must have prayed for her Captain to return and find her. And he did amid all obstacles and odds. I love the way he assured her—“Just wait, and pray desperately…” Captain Ri, a man of honor, duty, valor and faith. The loved ones we miss or long for, we keep in our hearts, and meet in prayer. What’s next after CLOY? Well, there’s a whole list of shows I’m eager to watch, maybe basic Korean lessons, and perhaps a long-overdue trip to Korea after COVID-19 departs. INQ Email storiesbykate@gmail.com ——————— https://www.philstar.com/other-sections/newsmakers/2020/03/06/1998376/crush-landing-you-again Crush landing on you, again By Joanne Rae M. Ramirez | (The Philippine Star) | March 6, 2020 Son Ye-jin as Yoon Se-ri and Hyun Bin as Capt. Ri Jeong-hyuk in the hit Netflix original series Crash Landing on You. No way am I going to spoil your viewing pleasure by spilling on you the ending of the Netflix “K-drama” Crash Landing on You (CLOY). That would be cruel. But if you don’t want to read someone (me) gushing about it, stop with the period after this sentence. Was the ending happy? Was it sad? Was it open-ended? Was it hanging? Was it all of the above? My lips are sealed. But let me just tell you — it wasn’t an ending. Go figure. In CLOY, North Korean army officer Captain Ri is also a piano virtuoso, who deftly plays sonatas with the way he looks at the woman he loves. *** I was a K-drama virgin till news that the final two-hour episode of CLOY broke television records made me break my vow of abstinence. So, it was with a bit of insouciance that I sat through the first episode of my very first K-drama, my eyes swinging like a ping-pong ball between the subtitles and the scene unfolding in front of me. But wooed by Capt. Ri Jeong-hyuk’s (portrayed by South Korean actor Hyun Bin) brooding stares and half smiles, I gave in to a second episode. And another, till I was hooked. When I finally reached the finale, I was hopelessly devoted. Riveted. Not just on Captain Ri but on the love story between him and Yoon Se-ri (so refreshingly essayed by Son Ye-jin), who paraglides accidentally from South to North Korea during a freak force of nature into a situation that was going to be another force of nature in her life. I became part of the legion of titas in Manila (one young, beautiful and wealthy tita is said to have the photo of Hyun Bin as the screensaver on her phone!) who had a crush on the tall and handsome fictitious North Korean army officer and piano virtuoso, who deftly plays sonatas with the way he looks at the woman he loves. And Se-ri complements the dashing Captain Ri, a serious man of few words, with her twinkling eyes, her dazzling smile and the light teasing and flirting she does with him from time to time after she first crash landed into his world. She is a natural, playful tease who knows how to make the stoic military officer blush. Son Ye-jin is also a natural beauty, and according to reports, refused to wear eyeshadow, enhance her eyebrows and put on blush during the filming of the scenes in the fictitious rural North Korean village where she crash landed (some scenes that supposedly were set in North Korea were filmed in South Korea and Mongolia) simply because she wanted to look like a typical village girl. Captain Ri and Se-ri’s chemistry, and the build-up to their romance, kept me glued. “I wonder which one is love. Hoping that you’re worrying about me like I am for you and wishing that you’re pining for me like I do for you. Is this love? Or on the other hand, is it wishing that you won’t be worried about me, that you’ll forget about me and all the moments we’ve shared? Is that love? If it’s neither, is it love that I’m willing to go through everything from the very beginning just so I can meet you once again?” is how Se-ri describes the contradictions in her heart. “Even if I have to worry about losing you every day, I want to have you in my life. Even if it breaks my heart because it’s a dream that can’t come true, I’d like to sincerely dream of the future,” is how Captain Ri describes the price he is willing to pay for a dream. The trembling #RiRi romance — spiced up by several villains, and sweetened by the comic relief effortlessly sprinkled on the plot by Captain Ri’s loyal sidekicks (some called them “ducklings”) and neighbors in his military housing village — made Crash Landing on You a vow between the viewer and the lead characters. Walang iwanan. Till the last episode do us part. *** I think one more reason the Netflix series is such a hit is that, like the main characters Captain Ri and Se-ri, it doesn’t give all in the beginning. The series stretches the anticipation of the viewer like a rubber band — stretches it, and stretches it, and just before it snaps, comes the moment of truth. Aside from awaiting with bated breath the outcome of the seemingly doomed romances in the movie, the viewer is also eager for the unmasking of its true villains, whether in the North Korean military, or in the family of Se-ri, who owns and runs a chaebol in South Korea. But the subplots and the corny moments (and the “porkies”) do not distract or detract a bit from the tender love story between Captain Ri and Se-ri (hence #RiRi). Theirs is definitely the story of forbidden love, of unconditional love, of everlasting love whether or not they actually have the chance for a happily-ever-after (my lips are sealed, remember?). So many crucial scenes unfold in bridges — from Switzerland to Korea — symbolic perhaps of the writer and filmmaker’s desire to build a bridge between the people of South and North Korea, between warring family members, between people in love who cannot love. *** K-dramas also seem to serve up romance on a silver platter without torrid (passionately brief, yes) love scenes, bed scenes or nudity. Sex sells, but why is CLOY a monstrous hit even if it didn’t have explicit sex on the menu? As for violence, the fighting scenes were action packed, but not gory. This conservatism — which did not interfere with its commercial success — makes Crash Landing on You a template for those who want to make movies, sell them, without having sex and violence as a prerequisite to their success. In the middle of the series, Se-ri tells Captain Ri while they were on a train to Pyongyang, “There is an Indian proverb that goes, ‘Sometimes the wrong train takes you to the right station. It was like that for me, too. Throughout my life, I always felt like I was on the wrong train. One time, I wanted to give up. I didn’t want to go anywhere. So I thought of jumping off the train. Look where I am now. I took the wrong train again, and a very wrong one at that. Still, you should think about the future, even if things don’t go as you wish. I hope you arrive at the right station, no matter which train you take.” The train did arrive on the 16th episode. But was it at the right station? 16 7 2

It was posted by that restaurant owner on their account, probably to promote their restaurant and following vast’s message, it was removed. The women who was on the picture came to a show by Sleepy and said binjin visited her restaurant before the photo was posted on social media anyway. The photo is definitely not photoshopped as well. Their photo with them wearing that hairstyle is not available anywhere to be edited and put into this one. Yeah I have the same thing in mind. I think they both want children. And they have been clear about when they want to get married. If it's true that they are in a serious relationship, I doubt they will mention to the public when exactly they've started dating even though most of us think it's probably in 2018 when they began. Speaking of marriage, it reminds me of the BTS scene where SYJ being all emotional on the CLOY BTS when HB confess he wants to stay by her side and marry her and have twins and see her age... and reminds me of HB being shy and continously making mistakes during the couple rings scene. So cute. Really hope that some of these emotions represent SYJ/HB and not just RJH/YSR being emotional or nervous. Too bad the covid19 has struck the world lately, so its probably more difficult to have any sightings of them. And they're really quiet ever since after CLOY (could be because of covid19 as well). Them being off the radar is kind of suspicious and I want to believe that they're hiding something lol....

Astaxanthin28
For me, as a BINJIN shipper, there is really SOMETHING going on between HB and SYJ. The grocery photo is my ultimate evidence. At first, I asked my husband (for a male POV) and he said that it is possible for a male and female friends to go grocery shopping BUT when he learned that they only used one cart! Oooohhhh he said, they’re a couple already. For my husband to tell that is really something because I always tell him about BINJIN and their interactions and he will just say, People see what they want to see... 17 1

I actually noticed that too but there were times that I saw him holding and reading the script. He was reading the script during chicken and beer time. Also the time when SR was sending finger hearts to the 4 ducklings at the dining table he was dead serious too. But if I remember correctly he was also reading the script and didn't joke around. I'd like to think that he was serious because he was trying to memorize the lines not because he does not like SYJ. But during that scene he was also staring at SYJ without blinking. Honestly if they joke around all day no shooting can be done. There are just that many lines to say..... by the end of filming HB was tired and sick. SYJ also got sick during filming and went to the hospital. I think they had a lot of fun filming but being actors also puts a lot of strain on the body with the irregular schedule and shooting in freezing weather. 7 hours ago, KameKame said: The Swoon interviews are very sweet and they both looked very comfortable and happy. Yeah you could be right about them "playing the game" to show what the audience wants, but I don't think HB overly looking at her or pouting when she is pouting was part of the "instructions" given to him to "please the fans." There are some body language there that shows they're actually close in real life. He admitted it himself he is close with her. 7 hours ago, KameKame said: I think they have dated after The Negotiation film promotion, hence the US trip but that was over a year ago and I think they have now broken up and are just really close friends. But I have no evidence about this. I think time will tell. Afterall there is only two scenarios. Either there's no news or there is marriage news. Plus, let's say you are right they've really broken up. They can get back together after CLOY too lol. 8 hours ago, KameKame said: Also some shippers complained the kissing scenes, I noticed HB wasn’t even kissing YJ properly. The hospital scene and the border crossing scenes he was kissing the side of her lips. May be they have taken many times but the director just picked the worst shots. None of their kissing scenes were passionate, mostly zoomed out or with her arms covering their faces. It made me think that they avoided the kissing scenes. Honestly I liked the fact that their kiss scenes aren't passionate or the director is not showing the kisses too obviously. It's a love story that was supposedly 99% never gonna working out. RJH was never the same person after his brother's death. He was never gonna love anyone because he failed to protect his brother. But then YSR crashed landed into his world and he had a connection with her. But RJH/YSR knew from day 1 she would be leaving NK one day. With that in mind for the actors, how are they supposed to develop their love like normal couples? I don't think kissing with excessive tongue and pleasure is part of this drama. I would be so turned off if they had any bed scenes even though I know some shippers here had really wanted that lol. So even if they're kisses doesn't "look" passionate or "avoiding kisses" I think it's probably INTENDED to be like so. And that has nothing to do with because HB only treats SYJ as a close friend so the kisses aren't "passionate." This drama is not just about romance. It also captures friendships (ajumma/4 ducklings), siblings love(RJH and brother) relationships in family (YSR+ mom/Seo Dan+mom), etc. 18 5

Dramanoona
The photo of them at the ajumma shop was a hot topic when it came out and yes, people were mentioning how Vast dm-ed or messaged people to remove the photo(and I gathered it was done in a polite manner) BTS may be edited but do you realise how many NG and BTS scenes are NOT included? Trust me, I have a few directors cut of dramas and there are way more stuff yet to be shared. In any way, whether or not they are currently together (and we pray desperately that they are), who can miss their chemistry! 19

I backtracked this thread and someone mentioned there were several photos, not just one. Can someone DM me if they have more? Sorry I only found one photo. Perhaps others can help you with this. I respect what ever your views or your doubts are towards Bin Jin. But I think you are contradict yourself here. You claimed you are a shipper but you want us to answer or should i say agreeing to your doubts that they aren't a couple when clearly this is not our objective in this thread. If you go through this thread you know very well most of us don't have doubts about them. Maybe, this is just not the place for you to get your answer.
