“If I say I’m getting married, I will get married.” Take that, Wookie-Washy. Damn the coolness of Stubborn So. Wook , on the surface, has given up on Soo. Soo is demoted to a water/laundry slave and Jung is perplexed that Wook isn’t doing anything about it. Wook claims it is the king and not he who has abandoned Soo, and there is nothing he can do to reverse the royal order. So back-hugs Soo, warns her he isn’t someone she can easily throw aside, declares he misses her, and proposes marriage to Soo in his usual matter-of-fact manner, stating “You are my person, aren’t you?” Wook is sour and scoffs that it is unheard of a prince to marry a slave, to which So snarls, “If I’m say I’m getting married, I will get married.” And yes, both princes announce their intention to be king. EDIT: I was proud to support and add to MLSHR's CPI ("consumer price index...refers to the drama's content value across all channels and markets) by replaying the Naver video of the BTS kiss over and over and over again throughout the night soon after it was released.

I miss WS's hair from earlier episodes. I liked his half top knot. Gave him such a manly warrior look. Also it worked well for all his action and horse riding scenes.

I suppose he has access to Damiwon spa and hair care now that he is palace. In ep 12 preview fight scene too his hair is looking all sleek and conditioned!!

It's a relief to know that @violet90. I am curious about RX and the 4th prince, did RX try to change the 4th prince? It's obvious that HS is trying to change WS and I think she continues to try in the future but does that happen in the C-drama?

yes, these k-netizens were so crazy, they got so jealous of LYB, cause her mom was a star and she came from rich family, and accused her got the role because of her family connections bla bla.... so crazy, I mean she's pretty good actress, not so great but she's ok, her role was written like that, and she delivered. I like here in her previous dramas, and specially I like her in SWWTN with LJG, but they kept saying bad things about her, just because she's a young leading actress and she got LJG & Chang Min as co-star. Poor girl...

I would like to thank Kang Ha Neul for making me watch Moon Lovers (that actor is amazing, we all can agree) and for making me discover another awesome actor, Lee Jun Ki!

Tbh, I didn't like the first few episodes. I found IU's acting dry (an unbiased opinion, no hate, it's my first time watching IU), the editing a bit off, and the soundtrack a bit weird. I know it's supposed to be a fusion of modern and ancient but it's just so weird.

But I powered through because of my love for KHN and my growing love for LJK. These guys' acting are soooo intense that I actually held my breath when they're on screen.

Best episode so far is Episode 11. That conversation between Lady Oh and WW was so real and so raw. That actress is awesome, too, btw. I should research on her more. Anyway, from that scene until the end, I couldn't stop crying! I feel so sad for WW because he's confused which battles he should fight. I'm sure he loves HS deeply. But there's nothing he can do about that love.

On the other hand, we have WS who doesn't give s**t; who clearly knows his battles and knows how to win them. That forced kiss gave me really creepy vibe and if I were HS I would be more terrified of him but wouldn't blame her if she falls in love with him. He's the guy who's always there, both in lowest of lows and highest of highs.

And I started to appreciate IU's acting especially on that scene in the cave with Lady Oh. OMG. So so heartbreaking. This episode also showed the development of other characters notably Yeonhwa. I wouldn't deny that what she did was pure evil but it was also brilliant. And the music for this episode was also on point. No out of the blue weird music (I still can't get over that rap BM in ep10 with that scene of HS and WS by the beach; I seriously thought that my streaming was bust).

Read in one of KHN's interviews, he said that from hereon, the episodes are going to be heavier. So I'm really looking forward to that. I'm also looking forward to a real defining moment for Wang Yo. I want him to go head to head with Wang So and see my screen explode with intensity of their acting. Wait, I want the three of them, KHN, LJK, and HJH to go head to head to head.

Also, why is the ratings of this show low in Korea? Anyway, I'll be like WS. Won't give a s**t about ratings. Fighting, Moon Lovers!

The BTS of Joongi in IU's lap is also funny. The scene with a fallen Wangso cradled in Haesoo's lap after collapsing...It's sooooooo short...was there actually a need to review the 3-5 lines on the page while he was lying there? IU had her line already down. I think all he said was something similar to...'you have to leave...run...you shouldn't be here.'  He looked so comfortable lying there...practicing where and what to touch before pretending to lose consciousness.  LOL...so very cute.

@hiluna fully agree with you. 

Even oh sanggung's time was too speedy for me too. She appeared in the later part of ep6 and died at the end of ep 11. 

Now I understand why palace historicals have to be ep 30 or more, it's just too short for too many things.

When I found out about Concubine Oh's death that's exactly how I felt! 2 mother-like women died leaving her alone. Concubine Oh really looked after her and protected her so dearly in the palace. Because of all of this we haven't seen Hae Soo's smile in so long. She's changed so much from when she first arrived. I really miss her fearless talking back and cheeky things and aside from the circumstances of the death of those around her and her being a court lady, I think it might be because she's gotten use to Goryoe since nearly a whole year has passed. I hope that I'm wrong in thinking this because it means that as we move through the series and more time passes by Hae Soo will change drastically probably losing her 21st century attitude.

Ah... my beloved suffering couple... Heaven hasn't made it easy for either of you to come this far. Scars, rejection and betrayal. In the end when the rest of the world caves and turns from you, you found solace in one another.  It was trial by fire (or torture), baptism by rain... the old washed away... the new dawned. In this trial, he proved his mettle... he showed his heart and his determination to protect her was equally resolute.

Two people separated by prison bars, yet connected by understatement and gallows humour. A favourite kind of scenario.  Bravado is the facade that he lapses into. He strips his words of sentimentality with casual nonchalance: "I'm not some kind of boorish man who takes poison for a woman" But she sees right through it because So can no longer hide behind words. Already he has bared his soul to her. She knows what he's done for her and she understands immediately what all that implies. She has been tortured and she bleeds but in her feeble state her concern never falters. "Do what the doctor tells you. Look after yourself." The emotions are too much for him so he quietly calls her a "nag". He sees her broken body... bloodied... and more scars in the making. He knows that comforting words have no use here and in the spirit of a long time camaraderie he says, "We got out alive, you and I, let's meet outside." He appeals to her will to live not impose his desire to save her. No empty promises between them... Just the words of two hurting souls quietly reconnecting after a brief brush with death.

This scene finds its resonance elsewhere. In a boat by the lake, he's nursing his wounds... his humiliation at the rain offering... being looked at by her in that way. He doesn't take kindly to being looked upon as a creature of derision and pity. She seeks him out and to tell him that it's not the end of the world but he feigns sleep and pretends not to hear. She stumbles around the boat and he breaks her fall. He catches her, they share a moment before she collects herself. She offers comfort, he feigns indifference but her words clearly have some effect. As she dishes out her homespun wisdom, he listens quietly and in surprise. Then he berates her for speaking beyond her years and accuses her of nagging. But her words have had an effect. To live is to choose and to walk one's own path where the lure of the crowd has no hold over you.

Even before that in the privacy of the palace gardens, he has no words of comfort for. Caution, yes. Encouragement to follow the path she set out for herself. and to keep at it. The palace would not be a friendly place to someone who did not hold their own.

Even when he is poisoned... his one thought alone is her. He stumbles after her with blood pouring out of his mouth, telling her to go. She calls for help while cradling him in her arms with no notion of what would come. With no notion of what he'd done... for her.

The rain comes falling... pouring, he spreads his cape over her to shield her from the relentless pour. No words are necessary. She shifts back to take cover, grateful for the shelter provided. The gong sounds... the woman who had been her mother in the palace had gone to her death. The broken body is overwhelmed with sorrow and can withstand no more. She succumbs and he is there to catch her. Cradling in his arms he gazes at the woman he now calls "his person".

in Cvers its more on politic plot and not romance.. RX did not change 4th but 4th open up a little when they together but other than that nothing change.. 4th also decide on his own what should be done but he did promise RX that he won't take his brother life... 

i don't think WS can do what 4th do.. not because WS weak but his nature is being control by emotion and HS so whatever he will do i think he do with her best interest in his mind.. WS understand HS enough to know what she can't accept so i think we will see a different momentum when WS became a king than BBJX...

I am an avid kdrama fan and have been watching them since LJG's military service finished (thank goodness I didn't have to survive 2 years of him off screen), and I picked up enough to catch some errors in subbing.  I loved "The Tree With Deep Roots" and it sparked an interest in the language itself, so now I finally got into a Korean language class that starts next week. I am so excited  I also got the first instruction book "Hello Korea" with LJG recording the conversational part of the lessons (I get to hear his sexy voice talk to me )

I agree with both of you there @hiluna and @qwenli. I think the speed is going to only increase. I don't know if you've already read this but there are another at least 6 (expected 10) years to go through within 9 episodes. Within these 6 years there is are a lot of major historical events that happen within the royal family. With such circumstances, the drama would either have to focus on the drama side or the historical royal politics and all. I think so far I'm happy with the kind of balance the writers have given us but I think in the future if they are to focus on the historical royal politics then we have to be ready to see some speedy scenes like you guys pointed out in episode 11.

The point is they are just comfortable with each other. In other his dramas LJG wasn't so comfortably looking with costar on BTS, specially in arang and magistrate female lead, and in kiss scenes he seemed unnatural too, as if made himself do it, unwillingly. And IU too is from all her drama partners most free and calm with him, compare to her pairing with Chan geun sok for example, dreadful example 

IU's own temper seems quite opposite LJG and they make complementary duet, counting here her gracious and fragile appearance too

btw have you seem RM ep with LJG? It was awful. He behave foolishly unnatural, even to the point main cast openly told him about that. IN KOREA. ON TV. I was disappointed watching that ep, confused was he drunk or smth? Completely looked unnatural and ... Scary to say here (please don't kill me).... But he looked stupid.... Waeeeeee???

so I think LJG plays BTS on camera too, but nonetheless likes IU and fools around her with pleasure

btw I'm too old to ship them in real life, I'm 33 myself, and honestly actors are just people, they live their own life, vice versa to what they show us even on BTS, and they Do appreciate and value privacy, just joking with us for attention to drama in all that BTS
