Has anyone dropped this one here? It's from Netflix Kr, but I believe The Swoon will probably release a translated version one day? (Hopefully)

Yeah, thinking back about it, there were some hints that he might be younger. Not sure how the writer thinks this will benefit the plot - I find it weird and would have preferred him being the same age as Ra Ra.

In any case, the legal age is 20 (Western age) and they said he was a 12th grader last year (which means he would have been 18-19 years old at that time). That would mean that he could be already now 20 - meaning of legal age. Barely. That would make Jun and Ra Ra "only" 4 years apart.

A time jump wouldn't even be necessary, but I still wish there is a misunderstanding somewhere and Jun would be a bit older.... Then again, we still have 11 episodes to go, so let's hope this twist somehow is justified in the end. :kiss_wink:

It looks like they confirmed Jun is 19 on their social media posts. I think what makes people uncomfortable is not the age gap of 5 years - but the different stages of life they're in! High schooler vs. graduate, 'minor' vs. adult is what people think of. I wonder if where you live and the 'legal age mentality' makes a difference. Where I live, 18 is the legal age where you can drink, drive, go into a casino, consent to intimacy etc, so while this gap is strange (with him still in high school), he's not a minor per say in my mind. But I know it's different in Korea where it's 21, so this must be so weird for them!!

For once in my life, I'm kind of hoping they'll be some sort of catch up time jump. But the romance has been super cute - I think because Jun is so mature and Rara so fun and naive, that they really balance each other out! Lee Jae Wook also has a mature, cool look so at least it's not a baby faced actor XD

There's 2 epilogues in today's episode! :)

Spoiler

I'm quite glad Ra Ra is able to sense that something is off with Jun, even though she might not know it. She was able to think why he kept growing. Lol

We finally got the mystery as to why he ran away. :( And maybe the mom wasn't so bad after all. I think we might get a separation period, where Jun goes back & goes to med school. I have a feeling he'll see Dr. Cha getting close with Ra Ra, and he might feel like he has to "be someone" to be with her. Idk they're still so cute :3

In every light, fluffy type of drama, there's always a psychopath lurking in the background hahahahhaha.

That's what my thought about that allegedly handsome guy at the hairshop (the stalker).

I dont think he is the dodosolsolalasol, i have a feeling it is the old grandpa.

What;s your guess about this mysterious instagram user? Is it a character we've already seen in the drama?

Anyone notice that the couple featured on Netflix was rara and dr cha? I really hope nothing develops between the two. I just love Jun and rara together. The affection and attraction between both parties is so cute. Jun recognizes that he likes her, I wonder if rara realizes it too? She obviously does.

So now we know why Jun ran away. How demeaning and awful was his dad? Poor Jun witnessed his friend die right in front of his face and I’m sure he feels tremendous guilt feeling like it’s his fault. (Which it was not!)

I feel like drama may be alluding to Jun becoming a doctor as well, with harabuhjee collapsing and Jun keeping his cool and knowing exactly what to do. Maybe?

I feel like to have an actual believable romance, Jun needs to be able to catch up and be in a similar life stage as Rara. He can’t be a high schooler.

Yes, I think it’s grandpa too! But I wonder why? And how? How does he know how to use “stargram”. Why does he do this for rara? How is he connected to her?

So he is 19...I suppose its not too bad but then again from where I'm from, he is considered an adult already but this is SK so who knows. But like some of you, you really can't tell because he acts and talks so mature, they match very well.

I find it really cute that he does what she tells him, such as trying to make the foods she likes and singing a song for her, that was just adorable

Also, I like the little details they put into it, like how when the little boy was explaining how Jun comes home in contrast with the music. I thought that was pretty amazing.

Same as where I'm from. I see him as an adult I guess because it's what I'm used to - 18 year olds being adults. Also he's adulting better than a lot of other adults - he lives by himself, works and pays his own bills and even lends money to someone else :P

Okay let summarize  all the information

His friend die in  December 2019 and was born in 2002 as it was written  on his grave ( Korean grave sorry I dont know what they call that )

If Jun  and his friend are  in the same age Jun  is now 18 years old in our normal dates )  but we have the Korean age difference  way  of measure the old ( in Korean years he is 19 years old now,  as they conform it too already)

In Korean till you 20 years old you are minor ( at the Korean  age)  aka in other world normal age he has to be 19 years old - that when he legally  old adult in Korea and can drink alcohol  , drive  and vote

Jun now is 18 years old ( 19 in Korean age) so he need to have another year only to be adult 19 years  old ( 20's in Korean)

That all dont matter  since we have a major  problem  here, rara  being older then him is itself a crisis problem in Korean social thinking and he being even a minor when she know him, live with him ( almost)  taking money from him ... this  is crazy criss  now

And we have that father of him too, inhuman and cruel  and had no problem  to control  or step on his son feeling so he going to use that to control  him again if he threatened  Jun  with rara  he can control  him again ( like really destroyed her about the minor  things)

I don't mind time jump but not  with forced  jun to be under his cruel  father control  his future,   I would like him to have his own dream and future too

And here the question  everyone  asking : why the writer  did this ? Making jun  a minor not just age difference?????

And look like after watching so much Korean dramas I was tricked  here since it rom-com I was taking it easy , a nice romance, so cute and helping  male lead and get so much sweet scenes till ep 4 and here I should even asking about that crazy twisted, sure the writer  didnt  give all that sugar  moments so early  for nothing  really??? A minor!!! In Korean social  too ???  Should I be angry or a shamed  being so into the sweet  scenes to be dragged  here into this mess now

Dont get me wrong in my personal view I dont mind rara  and jun  cause of the age problem they so fit together  with their personalities but the problem  I know how Korean viewers going to affect  this drama plot  after that ( forget kissing and overly  romance  the korean viewers going to even start complaining to the court about this drama - yeh they did that before) that why i said I was dragged into a mess ( a mess when drama plot being affect by the  viewers I hate that the most)

Let be positive right !... I am going to enjoy  it for now ,  maybe they going to do time jump  in middle  of the drama  and solve  everything sooner then dragging it till the end with romance  that has limited and hunted by the viewers ( please dont dragged  it I dont mind them be a part now or just fast time jump  for any reason)

I have a feeling this will happen, too! In the preview for the next ep, someone's warning Jun about Dr. Cha & Ra Ra, right? Maybe that's when he realizes he has to "be someone"/"be an adult" before he can start pursuing Ra Ra. I feel like he's close to being found by his mom so we might have our time jump there. :o

My favorite scene today

My favorite  too they confession  theirs  love to each others in that way talking about debt

I think we going to hear them using that excuse   a lot till the end :joy: like Jun  coming  back for his debt  excuse  too

Rara know nothing  about love she more innocent and pure  then Jun on that matter.   she clearly  cant imagine life without  Jun now but she still can't figure  up that she in love ( okay she a girl who lived whole her life protected and focusing  on learning piano  that didn't  even was able to enjoy simple  normal life till she quit  piano)

Yes! He does do everything for her. He even started growing the lettuce he needs to make her special breakfast salad since he couldn’t find it elsewhere! Who does that!!? He freaking grew all the different varieties of lettuce just for her! I also love that the little boy witnessed Jun always running towards the  sound her playing piano and told her exactly that.
