Ok, so no one shoot the messenger (a.k.a. get upset with me), but I watched the SBS award show with subtitles.  There is good news and something that left me confused and might be bad. 

 

Good news always first.

SO I will start with the good news first. . .Chanmin LL is dead or at least acknowledged as business relationship.  The announcers stated that they liked them as a romantic couple, but now it seems that they are more of a business couple.  The show is heavily scripted (they even said that they were sticking to script).  So, this appears that SBS has sanctioned the end of Chanmin as being a real romantic couple.  Also, YSC did ask JSM about her past award with LKS.  YSC asked her, out of everyone in Running Man who would she want to get best couple with and she said him because they worked hard this year.   If JSM really had feelings for YSC, then she would not have added the last part about it being work, and would have just left it at she picked him.  When the MC said, that if they are going for Best Couple they should stand closer YSC said no because of social distance protocols and getting in trouble.  This is probably true but they are both making it clear that what they have is work/friendship. 

 

They do a greeting then they start to gently heckle each other. lol  JSM starts it. 

 

So I included the image below because it is obvious that she is not looking at the camera and at the running man table. Delulu mind says KJK. haha

 

One of the hosts asks the question below and I have included the response. 

 

They cut to KJK when they said this and he was nodding his head up and down in agreement with the statement that they are working. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now for the confusing/bad . . . to be fair I got about two hours of sleep last night (unrelated to Kookmin haha) so my thoughts and concerns could be lack of sleep induced.  However, I like hearing people's thoughts on this forum because we discuss things calmly and maturely.

Now for the bad news. . .they (MUD, SBS, and Jessi's show) are trying to push KJK and Jessie together.  Let me first say, that I am fan of both of them and they do have really good chemistry together.  Secondly, I just want KJK to be happy and I am thrilled about him winning the Grand Award!!  This is what happened at the award show. 

 

 

So, this has me a little confused because I am not sure if this is another LL or something else/maybe real.

 

Jessi is very honest/blunt person and so is KJK, which I like about both of them.  They have both said really wonderful things about the other (MUD and Jessi's show Ep 39) and according to them both they are single.  Why I am confused is because they do get along so well and KJK laughs hard and seems genuinely happy when he is around Jessi.  It would be hypocritical of me to say that it means something when it is with JSM and then not to acknowledge it when I see it with others like Jessi. JSM and Jessi are the only two women that I have seen him react this way.  Other people that he has had a LL with he does not seem this happy.  Yes, I know that he and JSM are not a LL, but as of right now neither is he and Jessi.  

 

 What I will say, is that KJK is more comfortable with skinship with JSM on TV than he is with Jessi.  Also, I am not sure that this is not an attempt at a LL.  The problem HJY is currently facing with accusations of plagiarism has meant that she has been missing from MUD (TBH I did not watch the episode last week).  So, I am wondering if they are trying to give him another LL for MUD because Jessi has been a guest and appeared on the show.   In both instances, she drew a line saying that they wouldn't work, and it seems like she is doing that here as well.  

 

This brings me to my final and most worried thought.  I have assumed that KJK and JSM are dating.  However, this makes me question that because we all know that JSM and Jessi are friends.  I could never see Jessi being okay with a LL or really flirting with KJK, if she knew that he was with someone (particularly JSM).  It would just be hella weird/awkward.  I know that in the past he has had a LL while dating other people irl.  At least the LL with SJH has been around for a long time so there must have been some overlap (please correct me if I am wrong).  This idea of KJK being in a LL with a friend of the girl that he is dating would just take the bizarreness of the Kshow biz to a level I could never imagine, but I am also new to all of this.  

 

So, I am basically laying out all my thoughts because I want help from the collective here.  Was this an attempt to shut down rumors of them together or to start floating the idea of them together?  If they are pushing them together, then is this a real thing or LL.  If it is a LL, then would KJK be okay pursuing another woman on TV while dating her friend (feel like the answer is no to the last part of this question)?

 

Let me be clear, I am not jumping ship! I just need other people's thoughts because I don't know if I am missing something or if this would be common practice in Kbiz.  The worst thing that will happen for me as a Kookmin shipper is that I have to revise my opinion on their dating status. Instead of saying that they are dating, I would just say that they have the potential to date (which I am okay with).  However, I am not okay with turning a blind eye and acting like I don't see what is happening between Jessi and KJK.  I still think that JSM and KJK are the best match!!  

 

 

If I am awake in a couple of hours when the subs for running man are up, then I will try and get those Kookmin interactions up.   If I don't, well, then I am sleeping haha.

@Catch-22 I love Jessi because of her friendship with Somin. I don't know why MUD push Jessi to JK so hard but from JK's side, he already said clearly during tarot card reading, it is not Jessi when Tak Jae Hoon pressured him. So obvious during that segment, JK was thinking about somebody. And lets not forget, there is 'her' that he always think when he goes to beautiful place (MUD 198). And this is also before Jessi.

 

And like usual, this sorta LL is pushed by everyone but him. Jessi said she has crush on him. Then Tak Jae Hoon and Lee Sang Min pressured him, Mobidic PD gave questions directing to this 'LL'. Then Seo Jang Hoon asked on stage, live. Always everyone but him. And after observing him, though he reluctant with the LL, he didn't say no directly to the lady's face (except JH). He didn't want to hurt the lady's feeling. So he just laugh.

 

Also JK laugh hard because of Jessi is not weird because he and Jessi are friend for a while already. But to know who is his favourite among two, ep 514 in perfect episode to watch. Jessi came as a guest but JK and Somin stick together during opening and closing though they were in different team. Though Jessi danced Nunu Nana at the front, JK more curious on Somin who tried to immitate Jessi's dance beside him.

From my perspective it’s a new loveline that’s currently being pushed by SBS because their previous popular KJK loveline (jinkook) can’t continue anymore due to HJY’s current situation. Overall I don’t think it’s that big of a deal tbh.

Looking at the awards show now, it is really all good news (KJK's well deserved award and officially Chanmin is Business Only ).   They can push a LL but that doesn't mean anything .

It is just annoying because I want KJK to be happy, and as he has said over and over he wants something to happen naturally.  However, these shows always try to push him into LL.  I am off to get screen shots of the subbed RM episode this week!

For me what I have noticed is that if SBS tries to ship two single people together the more they are likely to be a business couple. JK and HJY were the same to me. He may have entertained the idea of the two of them possibly being together but it always felt one sided to me. Not to say more than that because I'm just a viewer but I noticed JK cut off the HJY ship after the last sbs award when she gave a superficial reason why she liked him (cannot remember what it was but it was not a  sincere reason in my opinion) 

 

Jaesuk said it himself on RM: JK and HJY should not date and JK agreed telling the PDs of not to cut this bit out. Then jaesuk said KS and Somin shouldn't date either and we all know how that turned out. As if Jaesuk was hinting to the viewers not to get their hopes up.

 

It's okay for JK to be friendly with other females because he's Mature enough to know not to over step boundaries for the sake of whoever he may be interested in pursuing in my opinion. 

 

Jessi is a cool girl and I feel she will be the type to keep her relationship s private (don't ask me why though, I just feel that way lol) but if they keep pushing her and JK don't you get a feeling that jessi may end up shutting it down because of her bluntness? Lol. I think she is at an admiring stage with JK and it's cute we shouldn't take it too seriously.

 

So far nothing is set. I will just enjoy the silent  chemistry between Somin and Jong kook on RM hehe.

This was a hilarious episode and I wish they would do more stuff like this (sometimes the hidden spy gets repetitive).  Anyway, there are some interesting subs today.  Some have already been mentioned and those were awesome moments.  Kookmin today was so amazing and just what I needed!

You know they were talk/joking about JSM not being good but she did really well this episode.  Her biggest misstep was not staying on her original team (she knows that KJK would protect so this was risk she took haha).

 

I believe that is KJK saying this below, but look at his eyes and smile.  If anyone is seduced it is not the owners. That smirk . . .

KJK says at one and point other that she might have dated (past tense) some ball players.  However, he says something later that make me think he was also talking about himself (maybe).

 

 

These are some intro rules to picking teams. 

 

This is when it was JSM's turn and she says cheerleader but her throwing says I practiced playing baseball.  I bring this up later with a comment by KJK.

 

KJK says this about SJH below and others quickly back up the statement.

 

JSM is being her hilarious self and when others were laughing/slightly making fun of her KJK very matter  of factly says she should be a comedienne.  It really came off as more of defense of her and recognition of her abilities. 

 

JSM is so much more and she proves it below. . .such a BadA$$!!

 

Ok the way KJK said this below I 100% thought he was talking about himself.  You know 100% for sure she played catch. . . hmm.  First, he doesn't say ex or former boyfriend.  Second, the tone in his voice was almost like he was proud of himself as much as he was with her.  It gave me so many feels.  Also, you can tell that she has practiced some baseball skills for this episode (I think she is very athletic and picks up sports quickly since she has shown improvement in other sport type games).  

 

 

The first person to draw attention to the fact that KJK is missing, of course JSM. 

 

KJK explains his absence but what I find interesting is that only JSM feels the need to approach him as he enters. 

 

JSM says the comment below and because of it KJK is standing next to her. 

 

Alright, the statement above is so true but hilariously his team lost every game today except the last one. lol This didn't have to deal with Kookmin but I just thought it was funny because it was like he jinxed the team by saying these things. 

 

 

Later on

 

KJK says this below when JSM misses, and her response was so not was I expecting!!

This should be surprising because everyone else was annoyed with him, but not JSM she was smiles and laughter at his behavior.  The only one she got slightly annoyed with during the game was SJS. 

I like that she loves him more when he is not perfect and as she said more humane/human.   Also, I did not include the images but she called him oppa like four times when he kept messing up.  I know it doesn't necessarily mean anything but the tone was an affectionate frustrated tone.  Image your significant other going Hoonneeyy . . .in that tone like I love you but really!!!

They switch sides and SJS misses the ball this is where he lightly pushes her with his finger. 

 

This is JSM trying to calm KJK down. 

Even after JSM switched teams KJK still protected and cheered her on as he does. 

JSM says this above. 

So JSM misses and messes up.  We have seen it time and again he yells at everyone else but not JSM.  Even when he shows disapproval she is laughing.  Others are afraid of him, but JSM knows that she is safe from his real anger. Why is that . . . well we all know the answer. 

 

 

I just want to include this score that he makes below just to give a taste to the intensity he had today.  Again, never took it out on JSM.

He is getting a high-five from a Major League Baseball player and he is almost immediately looking for JSM to celebrate with.  These two are so adorable.

So they must have know that this would air after the awards show because everyone referred to their LL/relationship in past tense today. 

 

JSM chimes in with the comment about unconditional love.  They are reading each others minds and my delulu mind is that he loves any team that includes him and JSM haha. 

 

 

Below is KJK scolding her for messing up the game (she is trying not to laugh) but KJK takes winning seriously and the thought of losing JSM (sadly he does lose her to the other team). 

 

So now they are on opposite Teams, and I could be misunderstanding this but it sounds like KJK is the one cheering her on when she is first up to bat. 

 

She gets lightly hit but it is not clear if it should allow her to get a base because she swung.  Normally, KJK would push back if he thought something would cost his team potential victory.  However, if you look at what he does and says below.  Well, he definitely giving JSM a pass and he was calming down others that wanted to dispute the call by the umpire. 

Now, there were a lot of people talking so it might have been KJK that said most of this.  However, by his actions he is obviously trying let JSM have the base.  This not typical behavior for KJK especially for this episode and how much he loves his . . . team.  

OK, I love SJH face here because she is really confused, as am I (but not really), why KJK is cheering on JSM (KJK is in the outfield behind SJH) since they are on different teams.  I totally had to rewind this twice because I was just as confused. LMAO

 

Once again, they are now exes. haha

That might be true but JSM today I feel like kookmin shipper winner!  Kookmin clan Fighting!! haha

That’s actually what happened with HJY like a couple days after they won their best couple award lol. She was very blunt about their relationship being pretty much just a senior/junior relationship. And basically emphasised that their loveline was a thing of the past and that he wasn’t her type. Which is why their loveline went cold for a little while.
 

But yeah all lovelines are just business at the end of the day so there’s no need to worry about them too much.

Jessi popularity has heighten especially this year to next. She is getting more recognised and popular. Her different personality and western mindset have brought up curiosity and uniqueness about her. 

 

Her pattern is quite similar to Hong Jin-young when she joined the MUD due to her love interest with Jong kook. She was a guest at first then became full time member when her mom agreed to come. 

 

Variety shows especially MUD will always expect a change in lineup due to old age, member getting married, schedule conflict, or scandal. Even before Hong Jin young's scandal, there is interest in Jessi when she came to the show as a guest. She became love interest of Jong Kook due to her familiarity with him. I do think he is her type.  However, she is closer to Jong Kook due to his english skills and being raised in LA which is very similar to Jessi growing up in NY. They have a quite similar background. I think MUD is interested getting Jessi as a regular member or guest because her mom's in US. 

 

I think interest has heightened even more after Hong Jin young's scandal to bring Jessi in as replacement or regular guest (similar to Tak Joon and Won Hee). The ones who didnt have their mothers in the line-up yet. Variety shows are all about screen time and interest chemistry. Jessi's out of the world and cultural shock can build chemistry. And Jessi has thick skin handling the misunderstanding and all other weird stuff people became so dumbfounded with her. 

 

My take on Jong Kook and Jessi-- He is all about connection and chemistry. I do think Jong kook is Jessi's type. I think she respects him as elder rather than equal. I wish them the best if they ended up together.  He is very considerate and courteous with everyone. He would put them under his wing. Jessi is worthy of very respect she earned.  

 

Jong kook and Somin's chemistry is rather interesting. There are a lot of obvious signs of their chemistry over the time especially the marriage part, do you like her, and other natural interactions with each other. But they were never considered as loveline. 

 

The way they create loveline for Sechan and Somin, it is forced comparing to Jong kook defending and caring for Somin. It is how they are trying to create something that doesn't exist. They said Somin and Sechan are in romantic date, but they didnt act that way. When it comes to Jong kook and Somin's interaction- there was nothing forced to call out on Jong kook for caring Somin that she is also at fault. No one creates chemistry or loveline or tease Jong Kook for acting that way towards Somin. If Jong Kook acts this way to Jihyo or female guests or even Jessi- there will be huge LOVELINE. Everyone will be so repetitive and annoying. For Somin-- it comes one time and everyone forgot about it completely. Jong kook has a lot of official lovelines: Jin Young, Jessi, Jihyo, and Ailee.  It reminds me years ago that Jong Kook's manager asked Jong Kook who was his type among running man members without mentioning Somin's name. The manager even mention the guests but Somin's a regular member. It was quite odd for me because what's the harm to put Somin in one of the choices whether he hates her or not. It would be obvious he wont choose her.  It is quite weird because people are usually polite that way to mention everyone's name. I am not going on and on... but i guess you know what i mean. 

 

It is interesting and contrasting of how they deal with Chan-Min and Kook-Min.

Firstly, congrats to Jongkook for his Daesang! In Showterview he had said he'd be happy to win, so I'm glad he did!

 

Now that he's added this achievement, I'm hoping he'll be ready to move on to his next phase - marriage hehe. Is it crazy to hope that there will be a new year announcement for Kookmin similar to Kwangsoo and Lee Sunbin.  maybe even a special on MUD! 

 

I'm not keen on the Jessi loveline because it is odd if she and Somin are close while Kookmin has something going on behind the scenes (i will stand corrected if we find out later that kookmin aren't ever a thing). I'd like to see Somin and Jessi on a show together outside of Six Sense too. I feel that being on a show with Jessi helped Somin to feel free to let loose even more compared to RM. Hopefully Somin will get an invite to Showterview as well one day!

Either Haha unconsiously spitting the fact here, or hes try to tone down the LL which is doesnt make sense especially Haha known as the member who like too push the LL in RM

 

 

Also it odd that Haha ask this question to KJK since he already know that KJK is really passionate person, it either Haha try to playing mind game with KJK or Haha try to digg down some secret here, also everyone were having grimm face after Haha ask that question, like they know KJK love was not the team but rather someone inside the team lol

In regard to the recent Jong Kook x Jessi loveline I'll say this as a KJK fan who ships him with anything that moves but JSM moe.

 

Im just gonna be very blunt when I say this but there's very little chance of them actually dating. If you've seen the actual scenes people use to justify the ships I'm going to sound very crass but Jessi says straight up she wont ever be dating him and it sounds more like she'd be DTF (if you know what that means) she just says it to fit korean broadcasting terms. Since it seems to be more just them saying their physical characteristics of each other are nice, with a clear line on romance/marriage.

 

So considering the loveline boils down to just some physical attraction/acknowledgement the other is swanky i truly doubt its cause for fear or whatever.

I believe the KS SM ship was highlighted in the first SBS award ceremony RM attended after getting new members. Their ship won the award (even though they were not being forced like chanmin was). Then somehow at the second award ceremony they were still being talked about. The MCs teased the KS SM ship about it and they were made to seem real (hence KS's dating announcement the following week or so).

 

Basically once you win the best couple award and you are on RM, it's going to keep coming back.

 

Notice the MC ship and KJK HJY ship kept coming up even after their wins.

 

My thing is that, since ysc and sm did not win as best couple, they should drop the act and shine as individuals and/ or friends for the sake of their chemistry. It's better natural than forced and I know ysc does take good care of Somin off screen and sometimes on screen.

 

I pray the members take a hint about chanmin otherwise I sense next year they may really try to push for their win.

 

KJK and SM on the other hand would have been strong contenders because their relationship transformed the most on the show and it wasn't forced either. However, this is just me but, I feel RM production team nipped kookmin in the bud early on. They did not want them to be seen romantically. On the other hand Ive always wondered about that kookmin compilation - super chemistry? If you don't want to ship them on the show why make such a romantic compilation in the first place? Very interesting...lol

Yes, thanks for highlighting. You are right that it will keep cropping up if they win Best CP. I meant that for SBS to stop pushing, usually they will stop if the CP wins the award, though it will also meant that audience will keep bringing them up since the chemistry will be there when a CP wins Best CP award.

 

But it seems from E534 that RM seems to be stepping back on pushing Chanmin so hopefully they can have the space to explore better dynamics between themselves + with other members.

 

Kookmin will not be highly recommended for Best CP if it is based on romantic CP but they are very good as sibling CP. While not there yet in reel life (YJS-LHR or YJS-Jessie), Kookmin actually has quite good chemistry to move towards 'nation's siblings' but i am not sure if they want to bring their closeness into reel-life spotlight.

They are good friends with a common LA circle of friends. So they are close...but yes, no romantic feelings involved on both side. They will go along and say nice stuff about each other, because they are soft-hearted and does not want to 'hurt' the other person so they are just being polite. But they are more of buddies. 

 

KJK fans are always grateful to Jessi for organising a 2nd birthday party in LA in 2017 to cheer KJK up because she knew he was still hurt from the firing controversy. I think that was also when KJK's mum met Jessi in LA along with the LA gang + Haha + Hwan Jin (the baseball guest for E534).

The red circle here you can see that JSM Glove went missing and KJK the one who wear it, also that white and black thing inside the red circle is happen to be Haha shoes(White) and KJK Varsity(Black).

Interesting part here JSM also taking care KJK Varsity.

There is a possibility that KJK borrow the Glove from the PD/Staff but then, where does the JSM glove go, when KJK was obviously wear one right?

The part where haha asked kjk why does he love his team with a teasing face. And the members are also smiling (esp seokjin) like he is also teasing him. 

 

I don't think that it's just me being delulu 'cause it's really unnecessary to ask that. Also why would kjk love his team so much? 

 

Is it because he can control YJS? 

No. He can also control YSC. In fact, it would be much easier for him if it's YSC. 

 

Is it because of Ryujin? 

Maybe. But they are so close already.

 

Is it because of Somin?

Maybe. We are not sure of this. But do y'all notice that somin likes to go near to KJK in the recent episode? The first one is when they waited for him and the second one is when she somehow waited for kjk in the second negotiation. Also, somin loudly complimented KJK while they are playing volleyball, saying "he's attractive", or "I like him when he plays foot volleyball" and stuffs like that. 

 

And when they were next to each other during the photo op in the opening segment, my heart was screaming!! (not literally but I know that you can understand me lol). 

 

Another one, not related to kookmin, but did y'all hear the members called sechan as somin's "ex-boyfriend"? Like even though they still tease chanmin, they used this word which is somehow telling me that there's something changed or will change.

So as most of you know JSM was on the radio today (previously recored) and the video of the interview is up.  I am not sure if the subs are up yet.  However, one JSM fan page on IG said that these were her responses to some of the questions.

Also, she choose KJK's best friend (happy kookmin shipper)!   Yes, I know that he was the last guest on SS and they are trying to hype the show.  However, when this segment was recorded it was after CTH was on RM, and he was responsible for her getting the penalty.  So, as much as she is promoting SS, there were other guests on SS that she could have picked that did not cause her any problems.  CTH is a mischief maker and she also chose a happily married guest.  I don't think she choose him because he would be that fun (at least not by himself).  

 

Why I think JSM really picked CTH? She knows that he is KJK best friend (so KJK won't be upset with her pick), and both KJK and CTH have a similar sense of humor .  In fact, based on the first comment it sounds like KJK would be the best person to take (sense of humor and broad shoulders  to bad he was not a guest on SS).  Also, if this were to really happen, pretty sure that KJK would follow CTH to the island , and if all three were on the island, then they would have fun. You might think I am delulu here, but I don't care haha.  This is such a nice way to start off the week!
