He is obsessed to get Mi Hye. He focus on her for so long and still he did not manage to move on when she did not reciprocate her feelings.

In the the preview, Jae Bum finds out that Woo Jin was married and he is a divorced man. I hope he won`t get his hope up again. Even without Woo Jin in the picture, Mi Hye is still considering Jae Bum a friend.

Woo Jin did send mixed signals. He open up a little and now, when Peter Park told him that Mi Hye sees him  as a man, he became unfriendly again to discourage Mi Hye. Too late! If he does not have feelings for Mi Hye, it is alright, he can draw the professional line but I think he is interested in her outside their profesional relationship. We have half of the drama for them to sort their feelings.

Among the 3 sisters, I don't find MH's romance interesting at all. I could read from the very beginning where the writer is going with her, fall for the older, masterful boss. Fortunately, he is only 7 years older than her. I have seen American shows with the bosses being 20 years older, luckily no closeups.   I see JB-MH-WJ triangle as a comic relief from the heart breaking moments of IS-SJ-MR-TJ. She'll get her man, maybe got her married and pregnant in the obligatory time jump. JB will end up happy after the shocking admission by MH. He is too loyal for the writer to treat him shabbily. Maybe striking a strong friendship with Peter or run into an adoring fan. 

I don't see MS and her husband divorcing, whether in real life case or KD. They have a child and he does not cheat on her with another woman, only with expensive toys. She might leave him and that would knock some sense into him and they would reconcile.

they might.. since WJ asked MH to go find out more about the sisters’ preference for the better half, and also about their mom. it’ll be nice to know more about the younger SJ and also that horrible mother in law that SJ and IS had to deal with in the family last time.. and, i wonder will a fine lady eventually appear for SJ’s brother..  he kept insisting how good it is to be single without having to worry about children.. i hope he meet someone n has to eat back his words wahahahaa!! who else is there in MR’s marketing dept thats slightly older and pretty.. there’s the lady sitting opposite park tae ri.. she is nice! haha good match for our dear sumchon?

I really want to see scenes from the past and with Mi Hye`s book it will be the best opportunity to see the sister bonding and their dynamic. I hope the writer did not tease us with just one scene.

The one who is supportive of MR all the time? She always took MR's side when Mr Park was rather negative about MR or TJ for that matter.

Hello, I have been watching the last scene between MR and TJ and wondering if they are using formal or casual speech. If formal, did TJ switch to casual when he was chiding MR for wearing high heels? Hoping someone can shed some light. Thanks!

I have watched the last scene and a few of them before it.  TJ sitting by Han river and thinking about how MR twisted her ankle during the bike event, and MR sitting in the same spot thinking about TJ proposal.  They showed MR in the last scene twisting her ankle again?  Is the proposal scene going to popup again just like that of the ankle twist?  IS it a future prediction?  IS that why MR is looking at her couple ring in the preview?

Ahhhhhhhh, there is actually a lot of adorable fluff in the romance of TJ and MR not the kissy ones since this is family drama? but there is lot of touchy feely cuteness in TJ's courtship of MR. It is others who create angst for them but it makes their character and their love stronger. And they talk, this couple talk even when they are angry and  even tell each other that they each hold secrets. That was when they went to dinner after MR first resigned and decided to go abroad. She told TJ her reason for going abroad is because of a secret that she has been keeping and when TJ said he also had a secret and was going to say more, MR stopped him and said she does not want TJ to reveal his secret because then she would have to tell hers and she did not want to. TJ respected her decision and kept quiet. Of course that does not benefit them in the long run.

 

I am liking the character of TJ in this drama, (my pov) setting for gold standard chaebol boyfriends. He is different from the other chaebol children portrayed in dramas that I have watched. He does not have that brooding, sullen, rebellious anger from a childhood trauma as finding his mother dead or some other childhood emotional trauma and planning for revenge or a spoiled, rotten, egotistical and man. Here TJ is different. His character seems to be well rounded. Rich and educated heir to a conglemerate but certainly not spoiled rotten. We first meet him teaching swimming lessons to ahjummas who in their conversations said that they know he has taken on many part time jobs. Hopefully some of them were volunteering jobs which is good for the growth of his character. He goes work as a newbie incognito to learn how to become  the head of the company in two years. He could have entered the company as the heir and learned from IS the CEO who entered the company the same time he did but he chose to start as an entry employee despite his father's disapproval. He was sent to learn from the ace manager of the company whom everyone recommended as the best person to learn from, Mi Ri a beautiful woman, talented professional, a dedicated career girl. She becomes TJ's supervisor and mentor. He does not live at his plush family mansion but instead got an apartment where incidentally is where Mi Ri lives. He is not chauffeured and escorted unless his father asks for him or unless he needs to communicate with dad or stepmom, he takes a cab or drives his own car. He is helpful, respectful and patient and understanding even with a temperamental and demanding boss. 

 

Now let me count the ways why TJ and MR are right for each other and why TJ is setting the standard for a chaebol bo...

1. He falls for the person whom ignores and bosses him around and gets prickly when he voices his opinions that are contrary to hers. He defends her when the staff start gossiping about her because he thinks she is also having a hard time. 

2. He goes to his mother and tells her not to give his boss such a hard time since MR is good for the company not once but twice and the 2nd time he went to the stepmom when she was trying to force MR to resign, TJ said "she is not someone, you should let go" which seems has a double meaning or a warning. She is someone that TJ will not let go of when push comes to shove.

3. He takes good care of his boss who passes out drunk at the elevator carries her on his back who tells her the pw to her door and accidentally drops his ID under her bed. 

4. He gets tipsy on a dinner with his coworkers and follows MR on the way home to their building then confesses his feelings but MR ignores him.

5. The next day gets scolded by the boss in her office and he looks at her and asks "why can't I like you as a man" and makes MR stutter.

6. MR finds TJ's ID under her bed, goes to TJ and demands to tell her what happened and he teases her and says will tell her everything but she owes him dinner and so goes their first time dining at a place where locals only know of. It becomes their special eating place. Now, the courtship is in earnest. 

7. They go out after work at the Han River where TJ feeds her the TJ combo, MR goes to buy drinks, TJ saves her from being run over by a bycicle race and she turns her ankles. He takes her home and advises her to rest her ankles. Next day brings ice pack and bandage for her ankle, applies ice to her ankles himself at the delight of visiting older sister who witnesses.

8. TJ takes MR to the arcade for their first friendly date and MR remarks "this is childish" but she was having a blast. When they were at the dart throwing contest to see who was going to take whom to dinner, she gets a call from the chairman where she leaves TJ to meet the chairman for the first time .... hmmmm

9. TJ goes home alone thinkingthat MR must have an ex and he was ditched for the ex. Waited until 10 pm at his apartment then decides to go out to eat meets the dressed MR who says she went to work. He says hello and passes her but she apologizes and he takes her to dinner scolding her about wearing heels when she still was not healed. He takes advantage and says, hold on to my arm. 

10. MR was publicly humiliated by IS infront of the whole management team because everyone wanted MR's team to host the Hansung golf event but IS disagreed. IS invited her to the golf course and then publicly announced that MR did not know how to play golf. MR went to buy golfing outfit and went to the teeing platform to practice. TJ witnessed the humiliation and followed her and told her he will be her golf trainer and she can repay him with meals together. 

11. MR went to assist the other team for the golf event with TJ and after they were done they were in the car and TJ remarked that at a time of stress is a good time to run away. MR said instead of running away she knows a good place to go. They go mom's oxbone restaurant and TJ gets the best oxbone soup he ever had. When more customers arrive MR puts an apron and starts serving while TJ enjoyed watching MR forget her troubles as she happily helped mom at the restaurant. It was night time when TJ finally left for home and MR stayed with mom. 

12. Next morning, TJ drives to the restaurant and surprises MR, he is taking her to work. 

13. TJ arranges a date after work at their special place. MR runs to the place thinking she was late but sees TJ just arriving himself. TJ helps set up and cut MR's food and as he was busy mixing his own food, his left hand was resting on the table. MR shyly and slowly reaches her hand and puts it on top of his. When TJ looks at her questioningly, she abruptly removes her hand and TJ laughs while MR smiles. Very subtle confession. She did not have to say much they both understood. This is my favorite. There is no cheesy confession, just 2 people understanding each other's heart. 

14. TJ takes his girlfriend to a picnic and learns more about her life. He also learns from a gossipy Park who was also at the park dating a coworker that MR has never been on a date before. TJ's smile was the widest. He is her first love and lover. 

 

I am sure there are many more cutesy and serious love stuff but the list will go very long.

The very first time TJ took MR out as friends but not his girlfriend yet, at the arcade, they were having fun when MR got a call from the chairman to visit him. MR went and the chairman said, that he wanted to know who MR is since she was praised and respected as the a skillful and proficient manager. In the interview he said that MR was honest and humble as well.  He also summoned IS after MR left and asked IS why she did a background check on MR and was angry about it. The other time was when they were already officially a couple and they were at a picnic and this time TJ gets a call from daddy. He goes home and daddy sarcastically commented that TJ was tanned and enjoying himself and warns TJ about women. 

So, let us see.  

 

The chairman has a 2nd wife living somewhere in the US and a younger 10 year old son, his spare? But he seems to favor TJ much.

As you said, chairman like MR quite a lot - he is stupefied sometimes when he looks at her, sometimes, he behaves like a pervert too.  But I think he likes MR for TJ and he favors him.  He wants TJ to learn everything from MR and I think he will throw IS to the wolves and hold on to MR.  For some reason he does not like IS.  Don't know what happened before, but he has his doubts.  But I don't think he has made the connection between IS and MR.  He wants to know what is it that causes IS to freak out about MR.  Once he finds out about the Director who found out the connection between IS and MR and did not tell the chairman, pawns will fall and the King will reign.

Wow!  Your detailed post is impressive.  I agree that I think the chairman knows more than he is letting on.  There were glimpses of his intention when he said to IS something to this effect: he thinks she is rather capable but disloyal and power hungry.  So he doesn't trust her.  Which man would trust a woman who abandon her daughter?  I also agree that he loves playing chess using people as his chess pieces.  I think what the chairman wants is loyalty before he can trust a person.  He is checking on his wife in the US.  He doesn't mind her buying a branded bag for her mother so money is not the issue here.  He chastises IS for pairing up TJ with the daughter of the other group.  He is upset about her greed and that she did not consider what the other group's chairman has done to him.  BTW, I think he was prosecuted because they other chairman implicate him falsely but that's just my hunch.  As we know, for these big bosses, their reputation is the utmost important.  I have no doubt that he is toying with IS.  Imagine when IS finally finds out that chairman knows and he doesn't even care because MR proved loyal to him.  How would IS feel that she has tortured her daughter all this while because of her poor irrational assumptions?  It is true the chairman is bigoted, derogatory and chauvinistic but I don't see him as evil, as in a person out to get another person.  I see him as a person who would protect himself, covering all bases from greedy people and will do whatever it takes if they betray him.  

I can't shake off the idea that IS is on some sort of mission but the way she is doing it is probably all wrong.  And it is shocking even to the chairman that she is so quick to kneel down to curry favour with the chairman.  She often use people as a means to an end (something the chairman hates even if he does it himself), constantly networking with other conglomerate, playing politics instead of using her brain at work.  The chairman definitely like Miri better cause Miri got to the top through her own capability and not through being a socialite.  The chairman has always treated women as objects but he is now fascinated about Miri and have no qualms in putting her through the acid test of his little games.

I know they officially did not get married.  It was a proposal that MR had not answered.  She was planning on doing that after she came back from her china trip.  But IS jumped the gun intentionally and disclosed who TJ was.  So, the rings were just couple rings?  ISn't that what they call that.
