Anyone got the part when he was watching "singing battle" and complimenting the the host

(inner joke : he's the host of that show)

For whoever wants to watch all the episodes , singing battle is on kbs world with eng subs on YouTube

LOLOLOL That was hilarious, it's so hard to pick out moments in this drama because it is just so good. There are funny parts and all of the actors involved are slaying it. You could see that fire extinguisher scene coming but it was still just so funny

That look on their faces was priceless

I'm still giggling when I see this

@fluffychim1013 I don't understand why the international fans are not all over this drama either, I watched Romantic Dr and am watching Defendant that were and are big hits in SK but not so much internationally. I have no idea why since all 3 have, exceptional acting, great writing,  and good directing. The only thing I can think of is they are not very heavy on romance.

@Miky88 Since his mother made it a point to tell him to be at the meeting, I hope that Myung Seok is chosen to be on the TQ Delivery Team too. I would love to see him follow in his mother's foot steps. His father's influence has been a terrible one and I don't think he is a bad guy.

Yes, this week SY was really despicable. The only good thing about him was how mad he became after the executive director had pointed out that he was no longer a prosecutor! He looked exactly like them! In my opinion, SY would like to be on the winning side and got so disappointed that his hard work could never really punish the bad guys. He felt like a loser. So by switching side, he thought, he would become a winner. Unfortunately to him, this is not going to happen. The question is: when will he stop?

He was pretty dark in these 2 episodes, I agree his saving grace was how he reacted in his office after our smellovision  director told him he was now like them. I hope at the end we see him sitting down w/the business operations team to eat:D It's like he doesn't know how to act as himself. He tried to be a "good guy" that didn't work for him and being a "bad guy" is not working, I wonder what kind of person he would be if he just lets go of trying to be perfect.

@RobinM That's a great point SY is acting like the trash he keeps saying that Chief Kim is.

I love this drama and there will be epic battles of the two sides still. I can't imagine CEO could win so easily if the bad guys have so much power, Seo have the prosecutors and the police on his side, plus the hired roughies, so the bad guys will have the muscles. I will just wait and see how the plot develop on that front. For sure the baseball glove was thrown away and I was glad, I cannot see Yool dating Ha-Kyung, they are so different (the actor looks a lot younger than the actress). So I now concentrated on the females' attraction toward Chief Kim. As of now, I don't see any conflicts developing amongst them because it seems that all three: Ha-Hyung, Ga-Eun and Gwang-Sook are absolutely enamored by Chief Kim's heroic, and his capability to do righteousness things. In a way, that Korean Drama line, "I don't see you as a man," applies here. I would add the word "yet." I think all three female characters (perhaps including CEO Jang and the Chinese investors) are rooting for Chief Kim to save the victims of TQ. Gwang-Sook described Chief Kim as a superhero who took on "50" gangsters to save her, she also talked about all the women at the small-town bakery going after him. But Gwang-Sook recommended Ha-Kyung to look carefully at Kim, meaning as a recommendation. I don't worry about Gwang-Sook as she will eventually date the shy and timid accountant. I also think Ga-Eun see Kim as a hero and now as a good friend since they pulled off a dramatic prank together. I am hoping she will also stay clear of a romantic triangle with Ha-Kyung. There is also one bit of concern for me about romance for Kim himself, the intermingled scenes when Gwang-Sook told Ha-Kyung that Kim expressed no interest to all the female admirers that she saw, Kim was watching a sexy movie with the general manager at home. While GM was all excited, Kim said, "why is this so long and boring." Hmmmm......please, PD, don't let this handsome hero be someone who has no desire for women. Well, I am patient, I will wait for things to develop.

Don!t worry. He has thrown enough hints out that he likes her as a bit more than a friend anyway such as when he tried to make sure HK Did not get the wrong idea about him and Gwang Sook and what he said about  relationships not having to end because he was quitting. Besides they would not have her so obviously smitten if there was not going to be a reason... non tragic K dramas simply do not make their deserving  heroines have completely unreciprocated feelings for the main lead and leave them heartbroken in the end. In short he is not in love yet but he will before all is said and done.

That's quite true...As romance not being the main focus of this drama yet the writer choose to add it in his plate it is just more subtle...And he indeed likes her, even if let's say he isin't aware or so,if not why was he so eager to clear his relationship with GS more than once...

I was kind of shaking my head at that comment about the boring porn too but I'm also waiting for things to develop between Ha Kyung and Sung Ryong too. I believe they will, he did go out of his way  to show her GS was just a friend,  but I don't think this will be the focus (as I write this I know I will be the first one to be demanding a kiss at the first sight of an official longing glance between themwhistling1-smiley-face.gif )

Ep. 08 was THE most fun by far! A stark contrast to ep. 07 where Chief Kim showed a much humane side by preventing a potential suicide, heck he got me teary eyed even.

Love that lil self-promoting by complimenting his alter ego on KBS' Singing Battle LMFAo!

My fave scene fr ep. 08 has to be when Chief Kim pulled a prank on the executives by spraying them with the fire extinguisher AHA:lol:

And er Seoyul is scaring me in that he looks like a vampire:blink: with the red lips and pale complexion.

I believe that HK will be the reason why later SY changes his mind. He knows, she is working for the other side, CEO Jang... however I am expecting that the villains choose a more brutal way to get rid of their opponent. HK will become a target, especially when they discover how much she means to chief Kim. Even if SY threw away the baseball glove, I am sure that it will appear again. Back then, he decided to ignore his feelings for her, but later HK will represent something else too: conscience!

You are such a hopeful person :)  I think he is actually being very shortsighted right now... Kim is clearly much smarter than everyone one At TQ and it would have been much more profitable for Seo Yool to work with and ally himself with the chief  for either good or bad  purposes But he made an enemy instead.

I don't think he is gay or any sort but it was portrayed in the drama that SR was never involved in any sort of romantic relationship but more focused in making money to go to Denmark since the start of the drama.. but I can see that he does have some sort of liking for HK but he may not be aware since he is quite a nerd in the romance department.  A couple of scenes that confirm his liking:

1. When HK calls him chief for the first time, he asked to her to do it again with affection.

2. When he was injured protecting both ladies, HK wiped the blood off his lips he looked stunned and confused heehee.

3. When he was so eager not to let HK misunderstand his relationship with GSM.

4. When he told HK their relationship will not end if he really quits.

Like some other chingu has mentioned, romance isn't the main highlight for this drama but I hope they do add it in to make chief kim a more complete person.

My take on the character Gwang-Sook has never been a romantic role for Chief Kim, she is sort of the "narrator" of this drama. GS has basically witnessed all of Kim's early exploits and she could recap those events to the people who were unrelated to his small-town days as a gangsters' accountant. GS is also an "advisor" to Kim, as silly as it sounds, since the actress does such a good impression of a character who seems to be weak and hopeless. When Kim decided to be "fired" from TQ, GS was the advisor. She told him about the luckiest guy in the Titanic movie and he was the one who lost the card game and was not able to board that sinking ship. When Kim was trying to decide whether or not to take the $300,000 and fly to Swedan, GS was serving as the angel and as the devil in the same scene. It would appear to be awkward when GS has to room with HK briefly, but GS showed that she could cook well and GS told HK all about Kim's old stories and convinced her that he is worth the try. GE is the "narrator" of the present since she ease-dropped all of the Kim's department's verbal conversations. GE was able to recap all of Kim's heroic to her sunbae in the prosecutor's office. That leave HK as the only viable romantic partner for Kim and that is pretty much what all of us want. GS will be rewarded with that awesome but shy accountant (he is handsome too) and GS will transform him into a confident and useful new "hero."

Thanks a lot @RobinM for the preview, always so fast!!!

Curious what is Yul hiding...He told the other dude that if the Revival TF Team(Chief Kim's) knows about it it's all over...Also i see they sent a spy to keep tabs on the revival plan process of Chief Kim Team...Well, spy is a bit much as i'm sure more than one might realize why he is really there...Sung Ryong said he will meet the person who knows most about TQ Delivery, curious who that will be...Curious what are President and Yul planning to do,more likely to make Chief Kim fail in his revival plan...Whatever they have in mind i hope Chief Kim will play them badly, outsmarting them...Ah,can't wait for tomorrow to come!

I don't trust that  salty whiny tool  manager  Lee as far as I could throw him and I don't think Kim does either. They would do well not to include him in their plans at all.

Indeed,he is such a downer to the whole Team...It's not like what he says it's really wrong in it's idea yet you don't see the others being like that at all and there are other ways to convey stuff yet he always manages to make the whole room gloomy with his spiteful remarks...He is indeed like u said, salty, like marinated in it...Curious if he will also have a change of mindset in the process, for our sake i hope so...Can't really stand his character at all...

Anyone doing the live recap for tonight's episode?eager to know the story for todayB)

Can't do recap as I have something on and will be interrupted constantly... but

Spoiler

Chief Kim told his team he has NO idea how to sort out TQ delivery... Lol!! They were so upset with him. But he said he knows who would know. He went to police station to ask to speak to the detained TQ staff, but was not allowed to speak to them. So he rang CEO Jang in a whinny voice.... CEO Jang seemed to like his aegyo and sent her team of 3 lawyers to the station... cue the tune of Terminator... Lol!! Chief Kim started talking to the TQ staff.

And other bits I saw in between... so not totally coherent:

Spoiler

Chief Kim and HK met with the Chinese lady (investor). She was not going to help, until he held her hands and gave her some speech... HK looked shocked at his approach... haha. Investor lady felt her heart fluttering and made a phonecall (presumably to her superior).

SY threw some rubbish that fell on the floor instead of the bin. As a result, he had a run-in with the cleaning ajumma and they had a shouting match. After ajumma disappeared, SY (surprisingly) went and picked up his rubbish and threw it in the bin as per her instructions... Lol!! SY went to see the Business Ops team. He was surprised to see CEO Jang's son working with Chief Kim. Not sure what SY said but I think he tried to use a technicality to get rid of the team. So Chief Kim and SY had a showdown. It ended here.

Preview: Saw bits where Chief Kim and HK were wearing glasses and meeting various folks.. Chief Kim giving a presentation.
