AsianWiki: Namgung Min and Nam Sang-Mi cast in KBS2 drama series “Chief Kim”

Namgung Min and Nam Sang-Mi are now cast for the lead roles in new KBS2 drama series “Chief Kim.” Also cast in supporting roles are Lee Joon-Ho (‘2PM’) and Kim Won-Hae. The first script reading for the drama series has already taken place and filming is underway in Gunsan, South Korea.

For drama series “Chief Kim,” Namgung Min will play Kim Gwan-Chul. He is the chief of an accounting department. He is a man of principle and pride. He is also full of mischief.

Nam Sang-Mi will play Yoon Ha-Kyung. She is the assistant manager in the same accounting department. She appears cold and selfish, but she is actually a kind person. She is also good with her work.

Lee Joon-Ho will play Seo Yool. He is the director of the company. He is also smart and charismatic.

“Chief Kim” first airs January, 2017 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot currently occupied by “Oh My Geum-Bi“).

Cast Confirmed for Upcoming KBS Drama, "Mister Kim"


 

 

The cast for the upcoming KBS drama, "Mister Kim" has been confirmed.

The most talked about candidates for the drama have come true.

Namgoong Min will be playing the lead role of Mister Kim. Others that will be acting with him include Junho, Nam Sang-mi, Kim Won-hae.

The team have already begun script reading and have started filming.

The crew also revealed that they have changed the storyline a bit from serious and dark to a bit more comedy to brighten the mood.

This drama will begin in January 2017.

I love Namgoong Min and Junho.

And - to be honest, two other factors that make me excited for this drama:

The scriptwriter is Park Jae-beom-I (God's Quiz, Good Doctor).
The PDnim is Lee Jae-hoon-II (Jeong Do-Jeon, Drama Special Page Turner) (Jeong Do-Yeon is one of favorite sageuk)
The scriptwriter and Pdnim have worked together on Drama Special "Revengeful Spirit" 2014. (I am going to look for it.)

I just hope they will not go over the top with the comedy aspect.....

Omo..Nam Sang Mi! I love her works and drama. Didnt even know she will be back on screen! And this is my first time watching Nam Goong Min too. I think he is the guy from the mv 'cheer up' right? If so, i liked him since

@alekaonu, yep, you summed it up well

About Junho, I feel he is such a talented actor as well. I liked him in "Memories of the Sword" movie. And I totally adored him in the drama "Memory" (and I am so grateful to Viki for having subbed it for us). On some levels it was a serious and heart-felt drama (with amazing all around cast - including the child and young actors). But there were also some light moments. Junho's chemistry with Yoon So-Hee was off the charts. They were so good together, and we saw it first in the press conference, where they danced together





And they carried this chemistry throughout the drama...

Lee Il-hwa to star in KBS 2TV drama "Mister Kim"

 

Lee Il-hwa is going to appear differently in "Mister Kim".

She's starring in the KBS 2TV drama "Mister Kim".

She takes on the role of Jang Yoo-seon, the wife of the CEO of TQ Retail and Mr. Kim's strong holding assistant. She used to be in management and administration but her husband drives her out and she meets Mr. Kim in secret.

Lee Il-hwa has been tagged 'the mother of the nation' through the "Respond/Answer Me" series but in "Mister Kim", she's going to appear as a completely different character.

"Mister Kim" is a romantic comedy about a man who used to be an accountant, living life as a normal Mr. Kim and stands on the side of the needy and protects them. The drama is directed by Lee Jae-hoon-II and written by Park Jae-beom-I.

Namgoong Min takes on the role of Kim Seong-ryong, the TQ Group accountant, Nam Sang-mi is Yoon Ha-kyeong also from the accounting department and Junho is Seo Yool-yeok from the finance department.

"Mister Kim" is set to release in January.

I have not watched the Reply series. But I do remember her well from Master: God of Noodles. She was pretty chilling there.
