I keep on seeing many good articles about that movie and those articles reminded me of you because that movie equals Yoo Si Jin to me.

SJ: I can find a way to drink.

SJ: I heard you asked MJ if her boyfriends job bothered her.

MY: Did she tell you about that?

SJ: She told me to ask you about her answer. What did she say?

My: Lieutenant Yoon said being apart from her boyfriend worries her more than what he does.

SJ: What about us? Will we part ways soon? Is your name on the list of people returning to Korea? 

MY: No. 

SJ: No?

MY: No. I'm staying. 

SJ: Why? It can't be because of me.

MY: It is. I'm staying because of you. I want to spend more time with you. I think I just confessed my feelings right now. Shall I apologise? 

SJ: How do you think I'll respond? 

 

SJ: What are you thinking about?

MY: I'm thinking about Lieutenant Yoon and Captain Yoo.

SJ: MJ and me?

MY: Yes. I can't understand no matter how much I think about it. Why didn't you date MJ? She's young, she's smart, she's from a good family and has a great body. She lacks nothing. 

SJ: Should I date anyone who is pretty and from a great family? 

MY: So you did think she was pretty. I didn't say anything about how pretty she was.

SJ: Are you jealous? Come here and hold this.

MY: Why are you changing the subject? If she was so pretty, you should've dated her. Whats so pretty about her?

Can't believe that DOTs is about to end this week. My only wish for remaining 2 episodes is to cut the crappy shooting scenes and give more lovely dovey sences. I really don't mind watching YJS and KMY staring at each other for 1 hour.

A Salute to Everyone....

Hmmm...The speculated endings were all disturbing.....

However, my bet will always be for a HAPPY ENDING.....A happy ending where it does not involve death of any character, most especially of uri-Daewi-nim's character...I will keep my faith that the writers and KBS will give us a very satisfying ending, which by all means a HAPPY ENDING, and it would even be a lot way better if there's a DOUBLE WEDDING in it. Hahahaha...

So my fellow DotS troopers, let's keep our fingers crossed for a HAPPY ENDING come this week's Thursday finale night....

Perhaps we can all help with our anxiety towards Wednesday and (also to forget about all those crappy speculations) reminisced the moment we were attracted and fell in love with the drama?

For me, it was when I saw the trailer (due to my busy schedule, only saw the trailer early this year) and was blown away by the beautiful cinematography and the part where SHK stood in the midst of chaos and she turned around and I thought how could she look so beautiful with dirt on her face???! Darn. (Love SHK!!!)

I did not fell in love with the drama till Epsiode 2, when both were in KMY's house and they talked to each other openly and I thought damn, this is really good. Which Kdrama has 2 leads talking to each other honestly on the SECOND episode itself? I was hooked to the storyline. Then I truly fell madly in love when KMY's scarf flew off and YSJ & the alpha team walk towards them like some boy band.  I forgot how many times I replay that scene.

Btw, what is the hash tag to use so we can trend Dots for its finale?

This is probably my biasness speaking but I think it's really hard to find another drama that can surpass DotS from every aspect..actors, storyline, cinematography etc. It's possible but it'll probably take quite a long time. I just can't believe that we only have two episodes left. Not ready to say goodbye yet..

But despite his actions in Uruk, one thing is clear: his top priority is his allegiance to his country and his duty to serve his country. Although he has disregarded authority twice in the past for her, both times he did it as a soldier. His actions with the VIP patient were based on the honour that he believed he must uphold as a soldier who is wearing the burden of his uniform. The situation was misleading because it involved KMY that it looked like it was for her, but in fact, it really wasn't. He said this himself when they fought at the top of the road. The second time, when he went to rescue her from Argus, remember what he said through the phone? He serves his country, and to him, his country is his people. And in his mind, his country would never forsake one of their citizens. Again, that it involved KMY may have played a part in his emotions, but both these situations and his actions in hospital despite his own conditions and KMY's worries, he has proven that he is, first and foremost a soldier. For KMY, this means having to deal with the fact that, when it comes right down to it, he was not lying when he said, "For now, Kang Mo Yeon." For now, I choose you, until I am called upon as a soldier of my country to uphold my duty that I pledged to my country, and at that time, I will choose my country. I have to say, kudos to the writers for keeping this part of his personality so consistent. This is his most fatal flaw, and it takes a certain type of woman to accept that. It's clear now that this was the writers' intention from the start.

 

By saying flaw, do you mean the flaw that prevents him from being a perfect boyfriend, not a human flaw, right??

I mostly agree with you about SJ's intention in saving MY in VIP and kidnapping incidents.

I already said before that MY is not his everything, no matter how much SJ loves her. He is the type of people with so much conviction and empathy; he is willing to sacrifice for what he believes is right. Only two things save him from being killed until now: he is good at his work and he has good comrade to back him up. And his great boss, aka MJ's dad, also helps him. He dedicates his life for mankind and his country, including MY in it. Except for the car incident on the cliff, it is hard to separate his sense of justice and his love for MY in deciding what drove him to do what he did.  If the ones in trouble were, say, DY, he would did the same thing.

But: I don't think he is emotionally unavailable when he is in his soldier mode:  He still gave her the last look before she entered the surgery room in the VIP case and his eyes were so teary when he spoke with the Lieutenant Colonel. It is just that so much stake was going on, specifically: there are human lives involved. Remember when he pushed MY to make her choice of who to save? He loves her so much but he still put her through that hell because of what needed to be done. I believe MY got to understand the nature of SJ's job better at that point. Besides saying sorry to MY for making her worries, honestly SJ could not do anything: he had to act quick or his North Korean friend would be dead. I guess he knew later she would understand him or at least he could make amends with her but people who needed his help would stand no chance.

SJ was already ready to walk out if the nation he serves until now turned out to be the one that betrays his own sense of justice and lets the woman he loves die. He was ready to crash the gate and disobey his order at the cost of his uniform. That is who he is as a person.

All of these make him a tough case for a a boyfriend but they are part of the reason why MY loves him.  He is just too good and empathetic.

Does that mean SJ love MY less because DY is willing to give up his military career for MY? I don't think so. SJ doesn't run away from MY (he just can't) and he tries to make both his job and relationship work; even when he loves MY, he will still stay true to his nature as a soldier. The death of his former captain must have had a great effect on him, it is like his life is on loan and he uses it to do good things as a form of repayment.
