Pachinko finally released today, right?? Will try to grab some time to watch it! Hope Lee Min Ho's fans are EXTREMELY happy to see him on tv again as it is.

@partyon  I saw the synopsis. But I somehow missed that it was gmmtv.  I been thinking about checking it.  So it good to know that the first episode has good reviews.

Alrighty, done with ep 1. Waited the whole damn episode for LMH to make an appearance.

I wish he wasn't such a jerk and we actually got a beautiful love story. 

 

The cinematography is breath taking. I loved the opening credit. My only quibble is the use of 'modern' songs. I feel it kind of ruins the mood, the feel. 

 

Also, they need not have dragged by including an episode of something which wasn't needed. At least it wasn't in the book, Part 1.  

 

 

The FL is so pretty. She really suits the role. She is fresh as a daisy. Lovely  indeed! What drama has she done before? I will definitely check them out.

I vaguely remember reading that she is a newbie. so may not have any main roles at all previously

I’m on the second episode right now. The story is pretty engaging (though I wouldn’t know how it differs from the book) and the acting is good. I’m impressed by the use of English, Korean, and Japanese, too. Seems like a lot of different threads to hold together but the screenwriter did a good job.

You think she was barf? Amanda Root is an excellent actress! She was 32 when the movie came out - so close to Anne Elliot's age in the book. I liked her.
