It's vincenzo day! The pre release clip has come out.

Rough translation (may contain some errors here and there)

CY : Seriously i think instead of lawyer, i'm born to be gangster

Mr. Ahn : I also feel that way. My adrenaline keeps rushing

CY : Should i follow you to italy and be a consigliere? (Yes dear, please follow him, he won't be able to say no to you)

VC : Just eat (see you just can't say no to her)

The other 3 : Me too

CY : That'll be great. Let's go together. I have the talent to be mafia right?

    VC : Just eat

Mr. Ahn If you're talking about talent, i think it's a given for me

    CY : It seems so

VC : If you all come to Italy, do you want to do the pouring pig's blood tradition? (You hypocrite consigliere, you do want them to join you right ;))

Mr. Lee : Pig's blood? What is it about?

VC : It's our family's method until 1960. The day our enemy having a party welcoming their new boss, we send pig's blood to the boss to show them our power. Like saying "dont mess with us".

Mr. Ahn : Mmm that's a bit.. What about the smell?

VC : I don't like it either. It's too cruel

CY : I want to see it though. Isnt the sight going to be so explosive/strong?

VC smiles (another day of VC's amused smile because of we know who)

Mr. Nam : I also don't like it. Why would you waste this tasty thing? (I think he's eating sundae the korean food made of animal's blood)

    And also this.

Thanks for sharing @bee_wannabe! Now, I'm much more excited to watch the upcoming episode. Haha! I hope we get to see more interaction from our leads. Haha.

For sure, Vincenzo is getting giddy hearing those words from the two especially from Cha Young. Haha!

The more you deny, the more you desire. Haha!

SJK and Yoo Ah In totally stole SS  The actual lead male faded into the background compared to them.  When I watched it I didn't know anything about K-pop so I had no idea the lead was an idol.  I didn't understand why he was even the lead when the Yong Ha and Noon Jae Shin characters were so much more interesting, better looking and better actors. I tried to watch Descendants of the Sun when everyone was so hyped about it but I just found it so boring and the chemistry between the leads underwhelming.  I have loved JYB since I watched her in her previous drama.  I have never seen Taecyeon act before.

I think most are referring to his recent successful dramas (The Fiery Priest and Chief Kim) which apparently didn''t contain romance.  I don't think most people remember Blood because it was a flop.

Vincenzo does mention "vincero" during the magnificent climax of episode 4.

Taecyeon is doing pretty well. He isn't as strong or experienced an actor as the other villains in the Wusang/Bael team but I think his acting has gotten better over the course of the drama.

Thanks!  I hope you enjoy posting here too.  Happy VINCENZO weekend!:issohappy:

Oh yes. Haha! A lot of people requested to have YAI's character be chosen by PMY's character at that time. Also, SJK and YAI won Best Couple award for that, I think. Haha. So funny. Anyway, JYB left an impression to me upon watching this drama. She's not really the typical actress, I can say. I've seen clips of her previous drama and I was shocked that it really did live up to it's title. Haha. I was thinking of watching it but I'm not quite sure if her scenes are balanced, less, or more compared to the other two leads.

I think I have heard the reason about Chief Kim's lack of romance. They say NGM is just choosing shows with no romance nowadays. Haha.

I agree. Taecyeon's portrayal of being a conflicted individual is impressive. It's also good that he's surrounded with actors and actresses that are really good. Kwak Do Yeon's performance is also really commendable. Both of their facial expressions are really leaving good impressions. Although their acts are so despicable, you'll still think that there's something inside them that triggered them to be that way. Maybe if they have more honest communication and they're more open and understanding, their relationship could've improved. I guess both of them just feel threatened about each other's presence. After all, I think the household they lived in wasn't really that ethical.

Of course. I love to read everyone's thoughts and opinions. And I also love sharing mine. Haha. Thank you again for being accommodating and for your spoiler box advice. :)

    Happy V-Day later! Haha!

Same for me about SJK. I know he is an extremely talented actor but I haven't watched him fully in a drama since he stole the show in Sungkyunkwan Scandal (An Innocent Man was too makjang for me; DOTS was so boring).  He is absolutely fantastic in Vincenzo.  I hope he can pick up some acting nominations and awards.

i agree about the GP residents.  The writing for the residents is such a waste of the actors. They are all talented but the characters gives them little to work with because they are all just written as shallow caricatures.  They aren't even particularly likeable besides...maybe..the monks.  They are rude, greedy, loud, obnoxious.  If the writer is going to give them so much screen time, he should have at least developed the characters so the viewers care about them.  It's as if the writer just wrote two lines for them: job description and each will have a special ability (i'm assuming) and that's it.  For instance, after the fantastic and impressive surprise of the scissor fight, Mr Tak didn't get any backstory, any character development, any change in the character or in his relationship with the others.  He's just back to being one of the annoying residents on the sidelines. It's a pity because if they had made better use of the GP residents ensemble as supporting characters (e.g. CLOY F4 soldiers) they could be a real asset to the show instead of the drag that most of the audience find them.

I agree.  I thought last week's episodes gave JJW/HS a lot more depth.  I'm really looking forward to seeing all three in a scene together now everything is out in the open.

The writer's track record is why I'm nervous too.  He doesn't usually do romance.  So I am surprised we are even getting this much.  Let's hope we get even more!:D

Awwwww! What a good big brother supporting his little sister's drama^_^  i did see the comment when when I was looking at Naver comments but I didn't think it was the same Neuj...but it is!:D

:tears:Right? It was such an important conversation and development for them. I am very much hoping we get another conversation where they touch this topic again..

Yum! I didn't really know Taecyeon before this drama but I find him so cute and not:wub:

If the pictures are too big, you can put some in a spoiler.

The writer put a lot of thought into Vincenzo's name.  It is very significant.

:lol::lol: Noooooo!  My eyes! And also LOL!  Imagine the drama trolls us all and they end up being the final OTP:dissapointed:

I have stated using JJW/HS because we can't just use HS as that is already taken by Han Seo.  I might stick with JJW? Or BaBo? Or Chairman Jang?  What is everyone else doing?

Hi there @raziela! Everyone I think is busy counting the hours left for the show to be shown again. Haha! That's why one of the things I've been doing so far. Haha.

"SungKyunKwan Scandal" is such a mood to me. It's really good. And SJK's character (Yong Ha) there really stood out. Haha. He also portrayed as an older brother to Nam Ji Hyun (younger version of Han Ye Seul's character) in a drama (Will it Snow for Christmas) where he had to act with a younger Kim Soo Hyun; it was a good watch, too. His character there was well written. Don't know why I haven't watched "Descendants of the Sun" yet since I'm not really a fan of Song Joong Ki, but "Vincenzo" made me think of him in a different way. Haha. Watching the show made me discover Jeon Ye Bin and more of Taecyeon as well.

Speaking of the writer, I saw some board posts asking him to add more romance. Didn't "Blood" end in a romantic yet? Haha. I haven't really seen any of his dramas yet except this and the first five episodes of Blood.

And hooray for their bangs. Also, that video, I can't help but notice the distance between JYB and Taecyeon and JYB and SJK. Haha. Those three are really a fun trio to watch. Haha.

I believe the meaning of that name might be mentioned some time. And true, Taecyeon suddenly became a different person after portraying his role in this drama. He didn't seem to be that idol-actor anymore. His acting has definitely improved.

By the way, thank you for the advice regarding how to keep big pictures. I hope to get to see you and everyone else here more. ^^

    Happy Weekend! :)

Noted. Haha! I'll probably be asking you and the rest once I've chosen a date to try it. Haha. Probably not on weekdays since I have some class to attend to. Haha. Makgeolli was in every drama I've watched so far. Vincenzo, which is the latest drama I've been following, also has makgeolli; and it is used as an important scene maker. Haha.

Yes we can only hope this will become true.

But I always think that if the relationship is true all this while, the only things that stops them to make it public is Running Man. I mean I seriously don't think KJK and SJH can continue anymore in RM if they decided to make it public. Rumors is one thing, but make it real and public is another thing.

I have a feeling that the moment RM on its last episode, announcements will come if Spartace is true.

Hello there, @Xonos! Indeed that's the only thing we can do for now.

I guess it's one of the reasons if not the main reason why they are not announcing it yet. Both of them can really play the strings in our hearts especially when they have push-and-pull moments. I wonder if things could've changed if they didn't fight for their Running Man positions as two of the main members. Could they have been announced as an official couple now? But of course, knowing that both of them are public figures, they have to think million times on whether they'd like to disclose their relationship or not. As we've all been doing, we can just only hope, pray, and wish that our ship is indeed sailing. Haha. Who knows the destination is near, and we'd hear that landing sound of the ship. I've already waited for almost 10 years, one month or a year seems to be not that hard eh? Haha!

Frankly though, I definitely wish to hear good news soon. The last two episodes have given us so much, that's why waiting for them to admit whether they are or they are not has been really hyping me up. Haha.

Uvas is ubas in Filipino - it means grapes. I guess two grapes is indeed the literal translation of that? Haha! And no worries about that soju recommendation. My mother, friends, and relatives really like that since it's not that strong and it doesn't taste like alcohol at all. Be careful when you take some, okay? Haha.

interesting question that is actually studied in some science. so there is the effect of genetics, family history, how often you drink and also your ethnic background.

genetics -- they say that some have high tolerance because of this enzyme/gene that allows them to break down alcohol better...

family history -- if you come from a family that drinks, you are more likely to have a higher tolerance for alcohol

how often you drink -- so the more they drink, more some develop tolerance. at the same time, lets say they stop partying for a few years, then they might lose that tolerance

ethnic background -- now this one is really interesting and has to do with history. so they say that for the longest time, people had a problem with drinking water and not knowing how to store it. boiling water reduces some of the bacteria and people in the asian region figured out how boiling water helps. so before this, a light alcohol beverage was often drunk as water substitute because it was safer than plain water. the shift to plain water meant some regions in asia don't have that tolerance. in US, they used to drink something called apple cider. so this guy wanted to make sure that people have access to drinking water substitute if they were not living near a water source. so he planted these green apples everywhere he went so that people could make cider and store at home to drink. thats the story of how there came be lots of green apples across US. then there is the weather, people in colder climate drank more alcohol to keep warm and also to deal with colds. so a small dose of brandy + honey will help clear your chest for any light wheezing. (I used to have that with hot water and it absolutely helps if you are not wheezing hard enough for a inhaler). so this is why certain regions like russia tend to drink more (it is not just about custom but also practical)....

now, these were all ideas I read a few years in difference science sites. the ideas may have shifted to newer theories, who knows. but yea, there is my long sort of science/history note on alcohol tolerance....

    +2

Hello there, @Lmangla! Glad to have finally seen you here! Thanks for that informative post. The theories in regards with alcohol tolerance seem to be very realistic. I'm guessing since my family doesn't really drink too much, my alcohol tolerance would be pretty low. I wonder though if there are some exceptions. I've been seeing a lot of apple ciders here, so now, seeing them would make me think of this info. Haha. Thank you again for giving time to answer my question. I appreciate it big time.

@sadthe1st Yes, they are the ones with pink jumpsuits! That was supposed to be the first drama of KYJ and AHS but the latter had to cancel it because of schedule conflict. KYJ got sick, too. That's why, it was postponed and conflicted AHS's shooting schedule.

Maybe it got better, maybe it's still the same as 5 years ago.

In Cdrama land, there are many shows that are still not released for showing despite years after production.

It's unfortunate that we can never really tell. Anyway, I opened Viki to watch something and I saw "The Long Ballad" you've mentioned earlier. The poster looks beautiful and mysterious at the same time.

@sadthe1st - The first time I saw Lee Do Hyun was in the show "Clean with Passion for Now". He was Kim Yoo Jung's younger brother there. I also saw him many times on "Running Man" as a guest - he's so funny there. And the last one was in "Sweet Home". I lowkey shipped him with Lee Si Young (the firefighter woman), but it didn't go to that direction. Haha.

Glad it didn't really rain that much there, @Wuzetianand @Thong Thin

I know that there are many new actors and they were in a lot of dramas.  I am not into young actors so If the drama is something I am interested watching  I will give it a try but not for a particular actor.

If they will remake Princess Hours I doubt I will be watching. I prefer to watch the older version

It is a sad news every time there is an accident or someone died. Poor people. May rest in peace.

Likewise, @larus. I'm also not into young actors although I appreciate how they are when it comes to this aspect. Maybe it's because I've started to follow K-Dramas in 2005, so the actors I got to know are now mostly considered sunbaes by the sought-after actors now (which will explain my oppa list). Haha. The original "Princess Hours" was really popular back in the days, and Song Ji Hyo's character there was pretty much hated. Though to be honest, her portrayal of her character there made me look forward to seeing more of her shows and movies.

I don`t know. I am not familiar with the actors or the drama. :D I checked about their filmography. I saw Lee Do Hyun recently in Beyond Evil, as a young Shin Ha Kyun`s character but it was too little to have an opinion about him.

So, I am neutral in this matter.

I see. Haha. Thanks for that honest answer. Haha. I haven't really seen Hwang In Yeop in a drama. I started "True Beauty" but I didn't finish it.

That's unfortunate. But, when it comes to matters of national pride, that will have to be settled between the two countries for them to be back in more cordial relationship.

That's true. It's just that it's been a while since I've been waiting for that drama to be aired. Hopefully, all is well between them already.

No idea, but once the cast start getting busy promoting the show, that means it's about to be aired. Or, it can just be suddenly shown. ^_^

Aw. It was supposed to be aired in 2016 but due to some issues between China and Korea, they decided to air it in 2020, however, it's already 2021 and still no update about it.

Hi there! It's different from Ballad of Suh Dong. Cdrama The Long Ballad is also called Song of the Long March and Princess Changge. The plot is about Princess Li Changge surviving the massacre of her entire family, and what she does so that she can extract revenge later on.

Oh, I see. Sounds interesting! Thanks for sharing. Do you happen to know when "Braveness of the Ming" will be shown? It's a mix of Chinese and Korean actors and actresses.

Hello, Hello! Haha! I added a question in my previous greeting for you. Who do you prefer between Lee Do Hyun and Hwang In Yeop for the remake of "Princess Hours"? Sorry if I added it late. Haha.
