Thank you so much for starting this thread!  I had been wondering if  the lack of interest in this drama was due to not being able to find the drama streaming anywhere.  even though, the drama is streaming  on Amazon Prime, it isn't widely advertised.  So, it doesn't even show up  on search.

 

As of now, this is one of the most fun dramas of late.  The metas, the wry jokes that are hidden social commentaries and antics of the oddball characters are totally enjoyable and hilarious.

 

Acting by the entire cast is strong. Dialog and characterizations are well written.  Even with a subject of vampires, there is no goriness.  The only thing shown are vampire fangs.

yes.. i'm curious why fewer people discuss this drama. This drama is amazing in every way.. i just love everything about this drama. it's give me vibes from good drama produced previously.

i really want to know who is shin do shik..why he ancestor died young and he seem worried about himself even the medical report show he is healthy.

Ooh, the plot thickens! It’s interesting how the drama is playing with the idea of reincarnation; usually, the hero’s lost love would either return with the same face, or with a different appearance entirely. Here, it’s both scenarios at once, effectively keeping us (and Woo-hyul) guessing.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that Do-shik is barely a contender in the romance department; he may be considerate and thoughtful, but In-hae often looks burdened by Do-shik’s kindness. Since it’s obvious she doesn’t reciprocate his feelings, I hope Do-shik will have a bigger role to play against Woo-hyul with regards to his vampiric identity, rather than as a romantic rival.

 

When Woo-hyul was first given his make-In-hae-fall-in-love mission, I thought it’d be pretty funny if he tried to matchmake Do-shik and In-hae but ended up catching feelings in the process. I have to admit I’m a little disappointed it’s not going in that direction — imagine the sheer havoc that wingman Woo-hyul would wreak — but petulantly jealous Woo-hyul is a treat to watch, so I’m not complaining.

 

Also, I continue to love the bits of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it humor sprinkled throughout the show! One standout moment this week was Sang-hae’s faux tarot-reading shop, which is really just a front for his actual enterprise of providing forged documents (and even white hair implants, hah) to immortal creatures. Our vampire trio, plus our sage feline, are an absolute hoot to watch — I can’t wait to see what other game plans they cook up, and how our headstrong heroine will thwart them all.

KBS2’s “Heartbeat” has revealed a behind-the-scenes look of episodes 3 and 4!

“Heartbeat” tells the romance story of half-human and half-vampire Seon Woo Hyul (Taecyeon), who was unable to become human due to a one day difference amidst 100 years, finding true warmth as he starts to live together with Joo In Hae (Won Ji An), a woman who has no humane side.

The newly released video features the behind-the-scenes of vampire Seon Woo Hyul’s bumpy process of assimilation into a modern lifestyle. Taecyeon and Won Ji An are filming a scene where Seon Woo Hyul unintentionally spends too much money with Joo In Hae’s credit card, and In Hae requests Woo Hyul to pay her back after signing a debt acknowledgement form.

The director asks Won Ji An to make a hissing sound like that of vampire Seon Woo Hyul. Taecyeon kindly demonstrates how he makes the hissing sound. Won Ji An quickly picks up and pulls off her own hissing perfectly, drawing praise from the cast and crew.

Toward the end of the clip, behind-the-scenes moments of Taecyeon and Won Ji An’s kiss scene are also disclosed. Taecyeon personally helps Won Ji An by smearing prop blood on her mouth. Even though the actors have to film up by the ceiling using wires, Taecyeon and Won Ji An showcase perfect acting and chemistry.

So the ep 4 ending was kinda "WTF"???

 

Woo Hyul can sense Hae Seon in his kiss with In Hae, yet the episode ends with the arrival of Hae Won, a very Vampy looking version of Hae Seon.

 

 

Then I saw the character map posted above and the entry for Hae Won -

 

" ... looked identical, as if she is Hae Seon's reincarnation ... "

 

"Looked" ... "as if" ... thats kdrama speak for she's not - No character map is going to give that away as a confirmation unless its "... See You In My 19th Life ..."

 

 

I'm going with In Hae is the real reincarnation of Hae Seon, who will try to make Woo Hyul fully human - Hae Won will be the interested love rival, who will try to sell Woo Hyul to remain immortal ... I'm going with she's some sort of evil twin sister to the original Hae Seon.

Hello all!

I just finished ep 2 and it's so much fun!  WH was so funny when he tried to produce his fangs.  He sounded as though he was trying to cough up a hairball or something.  I only wish the FL would stop screaming so much. 

I like that it is on Amazon Prime too.  Hey we should have a watchparty!  I've never tried it on Prime, but I've done teleparty (TP).

When you are surprised because there is already a romantic kiss scene at the end of ep 3 - but when ep 4 starts, it turns out half-vampire had spotted some blood on the lady's lips

 

and swoops in for a taste

 

RESULT: Lady is not impressed at all that her first kiss ever is with a vampire. In fact, she calls you a pervert.
