[Drama 2021-2022] The Second Husband, 두번째 남편

Just finished binging episodes 1-4 and you guys have covered most everything so far ...

 

A few random thoughts -

 

- FL is bordering on life threatening naivety

 

- FL has individually run into Mom, step Daughter, and Son from the same chaebol family ... nothing like falling out of the co-incidence tree and hitting every branch on the way down

 

- With that episode ending "lunch meeting" fake out by the Writer/PD, we know we can never trust a cliffhanger the rest of the drama

 

- Homewrecker is also pretty naive - she knows he's seeing someone but doesn't bother to address the issue before she proposes to him?

 

- Foundation Mom seems like a genuine caring character - I'm gonna have trouble with that, as I loved her as the villainess Doctor in Gracious Revenge

 

- ML (singer) needs a new profession if he's going to hold onto the ML reins

 

- SML's Mom is also sleazy - I'm throwing it out there now, I think she will be the one who has framed the FL 

 

- SML's Sister is the only decent light in the family

 

- I need someone to explain to me the Bakery family connection - I know the ML is connected because he served in the military with the Bakery son, but how does Bakery Mom know the FL and Grandma? 

 

- Per Grandma's snap at the end of the last episode ... at least 1 of the FL's parents is alive - IMHO

 

- ML (singer) was in the background 1st episode when FL was arrested. 

 

 

All in all a VERY good start -

It seems many writers think she is good at playing the naive girl. She had that role in most shows that I had watched. Is she supposed to be spunky? I am not sold.

 

Surely she had met the tacky SML's mother and yet she got pregnant? I am ok with people marrying and divorcing but having babies in a relationship that is de facto at best, it's criminal negligence. Poor innocent babies.

 

I think she's not only naive but also witless.

grandma seems to be a supplier of certain baked goods/sweets to the bakery. so she came in and dropped off some goodies and was chatting about how her granddaughter is now a mother.. so it looks like she worked with the bakery as an independent supplier for years...

They surly did not waste time as the cheater is caught red handed by our girl in the first week! Poor girl clearly trust him too much, ignoring the big sign that he is ghosting her. So this is clearly a a scary wake up call....  Let the roller coaster begin.

The lofty plan of involving the exclusive French end in a disaster and then they will need the FL to switch over from the small time bakery and save them and she does spectacularly because she is so skilled. (Remember Secret) The first husband will probably start biting his fingers in frustration. But even more when the ML falls for her and marries her. He will hit the roof when he and his clingy mistress / wife will be thrown out of the company and  FL will be revealed to be the daughter of the chairman's wife. So chairman's wife's daughter and chairman's only legal son complete the picture while the detractors burn in hell fires.

 

That's my theory and we are on EP 4 only.

 

It seems the husband is caught in the next episode. Let's not drag this. Let the revenge begin!

I have a feeling that because she fights back, she ends up getting framed for murder....

I swear if a daily drama ever has light sabers, its going straight to the top of my favorites list no matter how bad it is   ... hey we had plastic swords in Miss MonteCristo ... baby steps people, baby steps

JK is the illegitimate daughter  whose mother sounds like an 'escort'. 

Poor clueless SH finally realises something is not right, she knows the creep has lied to her. 
 
I hope they don't drag her humiliation any longer. She sees them kissing, she would better confront them, get it over with. But I am afraid the preview shows her at the creep's door while JK is visiting. 
 

Is the writer the same as Ms M? The FL was flighty and described as an 'angel' because she thought well of everyone. SH does not think beyond her money and wedding needs. There are strong similarities.

 

I hate scenes that I think will happen to her. A poor orphaned -practically - woman, single mother trying to make ends meet, no education and she is going to be rejected by the father of her child, further humiliated by the vulgar greedy woman. 

How much lower can this writer make her life be?

This is so similar to 'unknown woman'. The guy ditched the FL and she ended  up in prison, had his baby there.

 

If they killed the GF's baby and he took her baby into his family, that would be the same story. 
 

The unknown woman was so funny, not meant to be.

So sad  she realized the person she thought was her friend had been lying to her face.... Even if she was a naive person those not mean she deserve being deceived by her husband and friend like this.

Wow that break up was harsh - I don't know what was worse, his callousness or her willing to debase herself by pretending it didn't happen - Here is hoping the ex goes down hard in the end.

 

I thought little sister was on SH's side, but it looks like she is selling out too.

 

Jae-Min is hiding his rich background with the bakery family - thats future embarrassment waiting to happen, although as much as they seem to care for him I think they will forgive him.

 

The family butler/driver wants the Homewrecker ... now that has all sorts of interesting possibilities

 

Speaking of Homewrecker, boy is she turning out to be the devious one.

 

Wow - kid busted in episode 6 - that didn't take long (unless its just a nightmare)

How do they cheer in excitement when he just ruined a girl's life and deprived a child a happy ordinary family life in a society that looks down on single mothers? 

 

Bich, he's not seeing another woman 'cause you're the other woman.

How blind are you when I'm pretty sure he said he's seeing someone else but you just scooted your pooch between their seat? Truly a snake and a bad one at it too. Who tf leaves their sonogram photo on the table - should've dumped it under the couch for the maid to find. Could she be more obvious?

I agree that break-up was so harsh, I so can't wait until the 2nd ML get's his karma. I hope she will find happiness with a new love(ML) later on.
