I feel somehow not ease with the ending. 

I was right. 

The spin off is for justification of SY's return. That they fell in love even before he met SB. 

It does happy ending, just depends on people perspective....

I liked the ending... So Yong returned as the little historical fact required and BW returned in his world. Justice is done for both and it's an happy ending after all. I LOVED ALL THE CHARACTERS and this drama is now in my Top TEN!!!

I’m a bit sad that they chose to send BH back to the present as if he wasn’t in love with the king.

What was the point of the whole story? What??? Cheoljong fell in love with Bong Hwan’s personality and So Yong can’t never be the same without Bong Hwan’s influence. What the F is this ending!!!!!

It was such a RickRoll'D ending for me! Loved all 1-19 eps.. meh the ending leaves so much to be desired.

if I’m not satisfied with the ending I’m just gonna make myself happy by thinking of our Royal couple as KJH and SHS.. and pray that they can appear together in another drama

IKR! CJ loved SB personality, flaws and all! So if she turns into SY, well I guess the spin off was to justify SY's return. I guess so its going to be a make you feel good moment, since they loved each other from the start. LOL!
