Just got done watching episode 13, and boy do I have a lot to catch up on this thread. 

 

One thing tho, although we didn’t get clarification of the beheading kiss, I’ll take it that they are bedsharing and being so casual about it since LG said : “ I’m sorry, but you should go to bed first. I want to be with you but...”

and one more thing, although majority had guess that LG is the saviour, o feel like SBS shouldn’t air that 4 minute preview, that’s for episode 14 and up. The revea is done so well, even if many people predict, it would be nice if it’s not included in the preview. 

 

 SBS is not handling this well,  I get that the ratings is less than desirable, but... they got momentum from

epsidoe 12 for crying out loud. Ugh....

I...don't have too much to say on this week's episode.  No theories or anything at this point, really.  But this week's episode proved to me that the writers have a method to their madness, and each two episode block that they've been airing tell a satisfying portion of the story together.  This week feels very unfinished.  That finale better be worth it for the delay, and on top of that, the finale's going to be on it's own now too.  They tend to do a more domestic life episode, and then an action/thriller packed one.  We got the domestic one today.

 

Some thoughts -

• Sweet precious pure Eun sup.  I love his relationship with his siblings, and in a show full of badas$ men, it's nice seeing someone who is just soft and cuddly.  I loved seeing his sister recognize him right away, and I thought it was very interesting based on the other theme in the episode.
• The dopplegangers aren't working.  LL isn't trying to make a better world for anyone - he's tricking people by preying on their weakest spots and using those weaknesses to move them over.  Of COURSE it isn't going to work - even Luna, who is fully aware of what's going on and is borderline psychotic can't keep up the charade for more than a second.  She's failed with the 3 men closest to JTE, and I'm willing to be JY would've picked it up in 3 seconds as well.  It really shows LL's brutality, they're all chess pieces to him.
• JY - honestly, I'm fine with him being the water throwing, cash tossing mother in law.  At some point, this relationship isn't going to work.  The deeper you get into it, the worse it's going to be for LG and JTE when it ends.  I think he's grown to care for JTE a lot now as well.  He can see her relationship and love for her people, they've spent enough time together where she's taught him her favorite drinks...JY's main instinct since he was a baby was to protect the ones he loves.  He's also the logical part of LG's brain, if JTE is the emotional part.  JY lives in the real world, everyone else lives in Kdrama world. 
• My favorite thing in this show right now, aside from everyone slaying me with their lewks, is JTE wreaking havoc in the Royal Court.  They've been asking LG to marry for years now...but I don't think they ever realized how much work it's going to be.  This Queen isn't going to be content just sitting there reading to children, she's going to take over as the nation's head Royal detective.  I nearly passed out when LG was left behind for the entire day while JTE traipsed the countryside looking for danger, and she only brought Jangmi 2.0 with her to shut LG up hahaha.  The part where JM dragged her sprinting back into the courtyard killed me.  FYI guards, that's going to be your life every single day in a bit.  I also love Secretary Mo's shock that JTE won't say yes.  Her last few years have been handling the PM thirsting over the King every day, and I'm sure the majority of the country would say yes to LG. 
• PPL - okay I think KES has a gun to her head for this.  All the PPL got shoveled into a 5 minute mark, like BAM BAM BAM we're done.  At least it confirms some rice pounding clarification for us. 
• The meet the parents segment.  THIS WAS SO CUTE.  Also, we have yet ANOTHER romantic moment that LG had all planned out just stomped over by JTE.  Also, can we just be happy that aside from Mother Bear Yeong, all parties have been rational and accepting of the relationship?  Such a breath of fresh air. 
  • Going back to ep 2, Papa Jung was totally shipping JTE/LG together once he found out how much the horse cost.
• I love LG recognizing Luna straightaway.  It showed both his strength and weakness.  His weakness - his love for JTE momentarily blinded him.  But then the logical side of his brain took over, and he knew her so well.  I love that it wasn't what she SAID that threw him off, he was made awares by the anxiety on her face.  Luna lives in a world of stress, and JTE doesn't.  JTE lives for the day.  LG's internalized that.  I will now sob.

Okay, one theory.  I don't think PM's mother is her mother.  LR said that her parents were loyal to him, and were great.  They are also basically the first two people he's complimented in this ENTIRE STORY.  Mother PM did not recognize the umbrella, didn't really recognize LR, and fainted when PM was exposed.  She genuinely seems like a kind woman who wants the best for her daughter.  I'm guessing that PM's real parents were true followers of LR, and they left her with the fish lady.

Since they are sleeping in the same bed casually it could be a valid theory that she is pregnant but imo I think maybe it's due to the plant she planted in the between. The baby naturally dosen't have the flute in his veins nor LG but the flute is an object

I was puzzled for a while when LR said his parents were loyal to him and I don't recall seeing PM's mother kneeling and bowing to him when they met.

 

Now that's another mystery and I really don't want to think about PM Koo.

It's also due to the fact that he had a headstart of 25 years he has been planting in both Governments in my opinion so he has people in high positions in both worlds example like with LG's cousin who came back from exile his a LL puppet

That DOES not remotely make sense Unless JTE's baby somehow has the part of flute embded lol. Besides WE SAW LG Running in Frozen Time to JTE. The HUG  ITSELF never indicates that it was DONE DURING FROZEN TIME and People or AFTER THE time starts running back again.

And we still have "the plan", or whatever it is that Lady Noh was talking about in episode 1.  Do we think that the whole "unbreakable sword" thing is a play on words and JY is going to be a big player, rather than the Four Tigers Sword? 

 

Also I have a really bad theory

• LG recovers from the poison pretty easily
• Luna stabs JTE, not intending to kill her as we can hear from the promo
• LG runs through frozen time to find her, we get the hug
• She dies in his arms???? 
• I thought it was a bit odd that we brought back the love triangle with "Tae Eul's so called brother" today (LG you petty bish) but it makes sense if JTE dies, SJ is fully on board.  Couple that with what's going on with both his moms and his own comatose self.

So rewatching the first shooting sequence, the first shooter comes in and takes out the bulk of the men.  He knows how to use another body to protect himself and is a VERY good shot.  We know that SJ is the best shot there, he's better than JTE.  At some point, the return fire is too much and he dives behind a glass case.  We don't see him get up or move back out.

 

Then the shooter COMES BACK THROUGH THE ENTRANCE.  Why would the same guy get up, and go back out, and then come in through the entrance again?  This second one can't shoot anything, and takes out the ceiling instead, distracting LR's men and allowing them to escape.  He goes straight to bb LG. 

 

I will die on this hill.  It's SJ and LG.  The teddy bear is what makes me confident that LG can't shoot - he had nothing to prove at that moment, and nothing to hide.  It was just him not being able to play a carnival game.  If he's truly an excellent shot, then what did he have to lose by just hitting all 7?  Instead, he couldn't hit anything and spent all his money.
