Aside from the business and his image, I also think it's how wookie and hyunnie also want it. Wookie wouldn't want to hurt hyunnie while he can't protect her (it would be a mess if dating rumors started right before ms or even during ms) and girls always get more of the bash. So it would be difficult for hyunnie although we know our baby girl is strong. He wouldn't want that for her.

 

also, our baby girl hyunnie is super low key. They're both really low key and private so they would want to protect what they have. Fans are crazy and of the ones that came public. A lot tend to break up - ridiculous. Probably from all the pressure and spotlights it's for the better for them both to be low key now especially since it's the early stages of a relationship.

 

Although eventually wookie and hyunnie will will have to make the decision of when the right time is to come out. Just like songsong they decided to come out when they get married. SJK and SHK are also "A" list actors. But they're at the right age of marriage and SJk said it's not that he doesn't care about his fans but losing fans is inevitable after announcing dating and marriage. And he realizes that sHk is more imodtang. You know wookie also cherishes his normal life and knows how much of a gem our baby girl is. He said it himself. "His ideal type is actually hard to find". 

 

There might be backlash or love after announcement, But that's just the next step of their life and career. 

 

Our namji will will be fine <3 both of them have been in the industry long enough to know how it works and our baby girl also said dating someone in the industry is easier because they understand that world. Not everyone is able to date in secret but both of them know this industry very well.

Then fast forward 5 years, in 2017 in his taiwan interview he draws a picture of his ideal type thats similar to nam ji hyun (any rational person would say so). After he drew the picture he said that she has a big smile and his drawing is proof enough for it.

Btw We guys know how well song hye kyo and nam ji hyun get along. Song hye kyo was so fond of hyunnie to the extend that she would love to have a child like hyunnie. Usually 2 individuals get along really well when their attitudes, values, qualities sync well and to the extend to admire hyunnie by saying she wants a child like her is no joke. Btw wookie probably heard a lot about angel hyunnie from his hairstylist nooona and even met each other in passing at tge salon.

 

So both visual wise and as a lovely human being the similarities between the two actresses doesnt go amiss. Dunno about you guys but this connection blew my mind and i became all emotional when I connected the dots. Is it fate? Is it destiny?? Isnt hyunnie meant for him?? Did some of the aspects of ideal type in 2012 had come to haunt him in 2017 and simply made him take back all that he said about not loving before MS and made him feel things he never felt before?? Did that special person give him confidence that he never had before, that love is possible even while serving the country because it is that degree of love?

WAAAH good finding! Although he didn't say it out loud, wookie is totally into the cutesy type from the way he described (and drew) his ideal type and really consistent about it. Not tall, not too skinny, full lips, wide and dazzling smile, beautiful mane, has a fun personality and connect well with him. Knowing hyunnie's unassuming personality, I think wook is weak against the pure and innocent hyunnie. So innocent that she probably didn't know the effect she has on him  but this side of her is her attractive point because that means she is completely natural. She didn't try to look super pretty nor sexy, it comes off naturally

I'm spending my evening studying wook's kiss scenes from his dramas. Thanks to @taonaka now I can pinpoint why SP's kiss scenes are different from his past dramas. Aside from the obvious attraction and feelings gotten involved, the reason why it's different because he didn't calculate his kisses in SP. Well yeah he obviously pay attention to angles, but not his movement and tempo. If you watch his kiss scenes in the past dramas, you'll find that he has a technique for the kiss. Kiss the lips, linger for a bit, and then kiss again. All with the same tempo, linger for 2-3 seconds. If the scene calls for a long kiss, he'll press his lips longer. His kisses in the past dramas are are tender and calculated. In SP his tempo is off from the usual routine, he aggressively dive in to the kiss like and the tempo was not stagnant. He even nibbled her lips and inserted his tongue, very different from his usual routine (which affected hyunnie as you can see her shoulder jolted and she clenched her fist)

I watched his previous dramas  kiss scene (empress ki ,healer  ,k2 ) & I know there are big   difference between kiss scene in Suspicious Partner & the stated dramas but I don't know how to explain it into words  .Thank you for explaining it

And let's not forget the fact that during healer this is the same guy who kept sighing and not looking forward to kiss and hug scenes. WOW complete 360 with hyunnie LOl.

 

and I don't buy the fact that it's different this time because it's a romantic comedy. His past dramas may not have been a romantic comedy but there's still a love line. An actor by nature who doesn't like kiss and hug scenes won't change just because it's a different genre. But he will change when he meets the right person. Haha

Thank you, dear! @babyval22 I will, then.  And yes, I have to agree, the fist kiss is definitely not to be underestimated  I guess we have been spoiled with JiBong kisses in SP,  and then the kisses BTS, and that's why we probably take some things for granted now. Maybe some of us have forgotten how blown away we were  back then every time a new bit was aired. I mean, I know I was kinda shocked at the beginning of ep. 17 when we saw their  full first kiss, because that is definitely not your typical rom-com first kiss. But then SBS immediately released the uncut version and I was completely floored and I had not yet recovered from that by the time we got the 3rd kiss and its bts + slow motion multiple-cut version, etc...  But even if what we have seen is just a tiny portion of what they filmed, it's amazing how we still manage to find something new every time we rewatch and feel enveloped in their magic just like the first time. I am not holding my breath too much, but I do hope that we'll get some unseen footage of our OTP kisses with the DVD. At least the bts of the court kiss.... pretty please, PDnim?

@spy booble    yay, I think we we meant the same thing, chingu  Only, my reply was not as detailed as yours (hats off to you for even giving us the exact time of the official video!!! You are the best!) . In fact, I had thought the question was if that bit was from the third kiss scene in the drama (a.k.a. the laundry-basket kiss leading to JiBong's first night together), and  simply answered that it was the first kiss scene (which I got to replay several times lately, also to prepare for my previous post ), but did not give the exact details as you did. 

@malaya : if I misunderstood your question, because maybe you  really meant to ask simply which take of the 1st kiss that was, I apologize for giving you a misleading answer  and thanks to @spy booble for correcting me.

Right, NJH blew my mind here (even before I zoomed in on that gif ) and in all their kiss scenes  Acting merits aside (and she deserves really a lot of praise for how she played these scenes,  so I am glad that Wookie gave her due credit, and she was also not shy about it in her post-drama interviews), as I shipper I have to honestly say that if I had not seen her respond like this during their kisses I would have hesitated a bit more to come on board. But there is a rawness we see here, those instinctive reactions: the  goosebumps, the twitch in the shoulder muscles,  the way she parts her lips and never appears to rectract when JCW's mouth lovingly assaults hers, the way she looks so-naturally-yet-irresistibly-sexy  anticipating the (3rd) kiss (let me say that as a straight woman I find her super, super hot there... can't imagine what our poor Wookie must have felt at that moment )... those are things you really cannot fake, especially for a young girl who does not have much experience filming hot kiss scenes  (and I won't say more just because I do not want to make assumptions and speculate about Hyunie's "off-screen" experience in this department) and therefore probably does not even know the tricks of the trade to make a kiss scene look hotter and or extremely realistic on screen. And seeing that she is not just a passive recipient of Wookie's action, but she takes some action herself makes it so, so much better. It adds to my enjoyment of the scene as a drama viewer, and of course it makes my shipper heart burst with happiness and excitement  So, I am really thankful to you chingu for confirming that also that bit was not just my imagination working overtime   I can go to sleep happy now,  and maybe dream of NamJi
