I love the background music more in the edited version (SBS) than in unedited version. What i love in saeguk drama is their instrumental music and saeguk vibe OST

I thought it was interesting that it did not occur to her that Wang Soo could be possible be the king. Her thought only reflect the five prince (8th, 9th, 10th, 13th ,and 14th) and lands her doubt on Wang Wook. It didn't occur to her that Wang So could be the one which makes me wonder how much she have faith in him.

I think at this point Hae Soo did not think about Wang Soo being that King is because of his scarred face. He's already an outcast because of his face so at this juncture she doesn't include him in the evaluation of who would be Gwangjong.

I thought the editing in episode six was really jumpy, hopefully they will release a different version because there are definitely 'gaps' that require a leap of faith/guessing/imagination on the viewers part.

about WS romance with HS for now we can see that WS care even if he did't like her in romantic way.. he care for her ENOUGH to disobeyed the king and willing to bear any punishment although i doubt that he even care.. his main purpose is to save HS so IF HS choose to not go i think he will continue to safe her..

when WS said 'idiot' to HS is because her heart is soft to think about everyone else and not saving herself.. WS always think the need to survive is on himself not everybody else so when she made the decision to sacrifice herself for him its just stupid act.. when HS smile at him with her bravery mask we can see how much it bothered him..

lastly.. WS is MAD about HS trying to harm herself.. its an act that scared out his life seeing HS cut herself because at that moment he realize that he can loss her and that idea does not sit well with him.. WS need HS by his side and he don't like and never going to accept the idea that she gone.. also maybe he scared that he realize HS mean a lot more than he think..

i also agree that WS romance will overlap with WW.. because in palace he can actively seeking HS and wanted more and more with her.. although HS heart per right now is with WW WS is someone that she care so i doubt that she will feel uncomfortable.. HS heart is pure enough to even notice that WS can actually fall in love with her..

HS journey in palace will start today and her guardian angel will be WS not WW.. in preview we can see that WW ask HS to wait but i think WS will take an action and step up..

can't wait for WS and HS romance to unfold.. i satisfied with the progress cause if there is no WW we can't get HS and WS romance..

On SBS, they have episode 7 (version 1) airing Tuesday and version 2 on Wednesday.  Does anyone know what the difference is for two episode 7s?

I hope we will get the sub for sbs version too. Just like what @IAmSoulReader said, it would be so much better that we will get a complete version with all scene + subs too.  Here the other scenes  in SBS version which aren't present in Dramafever version :

1. Haesoo and Baek-ah scene after Myunghee's funeral

2. Wang So and Wang Yo scene

. Wang So and Baek-ah scene

4. King Taejo and Queen Yo scene

5. Wang So and Ji Mong scene

Out of curiosity, why OH WHY they have to differentiate this episode one and another channel? I watch the drama on S-One Channel, and i'm surprised when i read your post. I didn't see those scenes at S-One Channel version. I just don't get it. Is it about this drama duration? Because last night i was sensing 6th episode's duration was a little bit short. Last night episode ended at 21:07 (my country time-zone). Usually the drama ended at 21:15 CMIIW.

My thought is those scenes are important to show how our characters develop feelings or develop relationship to another. Especially Wang So and Baek Ah, and HaeSoo and Baek Ah.

Oh Well...... Now, i have to search SBS version on the internet. *sigh

Image result for moon lovers: scarlet heart ryeo episode 6   th?id=OIP.Meb148e1fab4c184ec9b9ef9eca433th?id=OIP.ff9a4f3a4cebe9fbfe523e8b63fb3b

Everyone is moved by what they see & feel and after watching episode 6 with subs I first have to agree with some here that the funeral song was so moving and I hope it's made available soon.  I loved all the tender moments and to be honest seeing HS all dressed in white was like looking at an angel, IU's beauty all I can say is WOW and her dressed in red double WOW!

I have to say the tender scenes with 8th prince and HS were done so well and I can honestly see how she would be moved by his gentle ways and even the way he speaks to her.  His words are like honey and showing how he feels about her almost seems like a relief to him to able to say it out loud...

Yet it wasn't the love triangle that moved me the most but it was seeing all the princes except two working together first to try and save HS by creating a plan and not like in the beginning.   Where each of them seemed to be doing their own thing but like brothers united with one focus in mind protecting HS.  Even later by risking themselves they beg anyone & everyone to help all the way up to the King.  Something had changed them without them even knowing.  Or maybe I should say someone,  HS.  She isn't just a girl who got caught in their bath but someone special that imprinted herself on their hearts.

Even when the 8th prince was carrying her and they were waiting worried about her.  Rushing when they saw her being carried.  Huddled around her like family her name being called out and by the14th prince Sis!!  I thought it was sweet to see that she had even won over the 13th prince who was now her drinking buddy:)...

HS came into this world broken and alone and seeing her with all of them and their love and concern for her as if they couldn't get close enough.  Seeing them wrapped around her like body guards she is a real part of them.   Really was purely amazing writing and what a real view of not just princes but brothers. HS right there in the middle dang I loved this scene...

Even at the end all of them with her comforting her and supporting her and once again her wrist wrapped up from her courage but still that same sweet smile still facing the unknown but as always letting them see and know she would be alright don't worry...

I've honestly been the biggest fan of this drama, and I really liked the first episodes, even when people were complaining about editing etc... However, I feel like this episode was a bit... Sigh.... I think the editing was a bit off, and the relationship between Baek Ah and Hae Soo was too rushed. After one conversation, I can't bring myself to believe that he is insistent on defending her to the point of risking his position in the palace. With 10th, 8th, 4th and even 14th, I can see why they would do so but aksdfjasjdfk... I sincerely hope that the next episode is better edited >< And I really feel as though ALL the elements for an amazing episode were there.... Just not put together right.

OK rant over, there were some aspects that I really enjoyed: Hae soo being badass and finding her own way out of the marriage, the entire scene between Wang so and her on the horse, the emoji scene with Wook being super awkward and cute, and of course all the princes coming to help her and rescue her :3

It's interesting that they've given her some fragments of knowledge - like knowing that Gwangjong will kill his brothers to get the throne. However, this means that there definitely will be death in the series T_T

And also Ji Mong still gives me a headache lol. Was marrying her off to the king a way to prevent Wang so or the other princes from liking her and thus getting her out of the way? And is it the same idea with the fact that she's now a palace maid??????

SO MANY QUESTIONS. Writers, editors, director - PLEASE GET IT RIGHT

Sorry for the negativity, just expressing my feelings. SHR hwaiting!!!

So i read the recaps on dramabeans

http://www.dramabeans.com/2016/09/moon-lovers-scarlet-heart-ryeo-episode-6/

who watched it based on the sbs version. I thought the editing there was a tad better than the one i caught on cable. I still am puzzled why theres two versions.

My biggest puzzle is how come a preproduced drama didnt make use of the time to edit it better. Felt the production team isnt doing a good job at it hence the disjointed feel to some episodes including ep6. That is part of the problem instead of just blaming it on some of the casts' acting..

did i enjoyed the episode yes i did but would i have enjoyed it more if its was edited better- definitely. I'm wondering if the upcoming special would also felt like a cut and paste job. Luckily today there's another episode.

Regarding the complains aboutWS being like a cameo- although yes i miss his face on the screen and im a So-Soo shipper but i understand the dynamics in this drama is a bit different from the norm. In the novel theres really very little of the 4th prince in the early chapters. I dare say the k drama version already injected him more than what is written in the novel. Also lateron WW, the 8th prince role will greatly diminish. The dynamics will really shift so lets just buckle up and stay tune for that

@skxz Thanks for your summary, it's so sweet and cute :D

Both So and Wook are so lame in their denial haha. At this point with all the restraint and hints at feelings, I think I would die if someone outright said "I love you" hahahaah. Baek ah is awesome though hehe

The figure actually reminded me of Wook straight away, but I absolutely refuse the idea that he's behind the king's death. More like Yo or the evil queen lmao.

That emoji is life <3 When he showed it to her I wanted to die because it was so adorable haha

Thank you for hyping me up again <3   \^ㅁ^/

With regards to So's appearance time, I just want to say that since I saw some of the C version, he will appear much more later.

In fact, if they follow the C version, Wook's time will be greatly cut later.

I think, for most korean audience they are not use to this arrangement.

I woke up and saw the ratings, and I must say although I am disappointed, I am not surprised. That's just the way the Korean taste is.  Park Bo Gum is on a roll, and I dont blame the k audience, he is indeed handsome and cute.

I agree with you, @qwenli.

To be honest, I did not like the Chinese version, until the latter half when Nicki Wu became the focus.  (maybe in ep. 17?)
To me, one of the strengths of this drama is the fact that KHN does such a fantastic job as the 8th Prince. So even though, LJG is not yet the focus, at least the performance of the 8th Prince is super strong.

So wait.. confused-onion-head-emoticon.gifthere's two versions?? The one I watched subbed had this scene in it

zvn1uCx.gif

So that means I watched the SBS version then right?

SMH

I wish they'd just decide on one version - with editing done properly.

Edit: On revision, I got confused with the raw I had downloaded and the subs I watched online. Sorry folks.

I think this drama overall are new for Kviewers..and that's why they're having difficulties to accept this drama. We all know about the impact of something new, fresh, but totally different. Shocked, didn't know how to respond, complains, etc. (Like when a new religion and a new faith come into your life..would you accept it directly? no). For some of us who can accept this drama, mostly because we already familiar with the original version..but I notice some of our friends here are having the same difficulties with Kviewers. Yes,the editing team maybe did mistakes here and there..but then again, they are Korean native ppl too...so this story also new to them. Kdramas always has these typical story line (and even the same person to act as a monk..I mean really???)..how many stories about doctors??how many stories about princes???and how many about the entertainment world? That's why I'm getting bored with Kdramas these days..before MLSHR..in fact..I only watch 3 dramas this year (though I bought 7 titles of drama DVDs I only watch it with fast forward modes lol).

So,I wouldn't mind if later there is DVD extended-Director's Cut version of SHR..I will definitely buy that. For now, I will watch the drama with open mind, ignore all the negative sides, and just enjoy it. And for the different versions of the airing episodes..it's okay for me. I couldn't watch the live streaming bcoz of the bad connection so I always get the dramafever versions...but our friends here in this thread are very good to us to do the live recaps and live screenshots (please don't stop doing that) Many many thanks to @qwenli @LyraYoo @briseis @bebebisous33 @trizha1 @MadraRua @KdramaSwimmer @meahri_1 and all of you. Love you all my dear friends :)
