Haha it's funny cos this exact idea (about everyone focusing on the wrong couple) crossed my mind too! I mean KSH may have really dated So Hee back then and it's okay (cos it's the past already, LOL) but KSH definitely firmly denied the wedding rumors in 2017 and even Keyeast threatened to take legal action towards those who spread those rumors. So my theory is they may have already broken up by then (if ever they really did date). 

 

So happy for SYJ....she definitely deserves to be chosen

I have just come across an article that says KSY was supposedly rumoured to be  dating Soo Hee of wonder girls back in 2015 and they both went on to deny the it and the rumors also arose in 2017 but the denied them as well. My crazy brain is thinking what if while everyone was focused on finding clues to them dating KSY was pursuing SYJ instead. People were looking in the wrong direction the whole time hahahaha. That's why they were able to go undetected this whole time.

Just a hypothesis people which is a loooooong stretch. I repeat with emphasis this is just my crazy theory. . This is mine. I posted it previously. My timeline would be somewhere in 2015 is maybe when they started exchanging texts and what not and then it started getiing serious meet ups start in 2016 and courting late 2016 into 2017. Hahaha

@park2park In relation to this, remember the one I pointed out (at 5:37) regarding Yea Ji calling Taecyeon Oppa and the Host pointed out he's just a year younger than Soo Hyun? Then in my mind I was thinking how come and why did the host mentioned KSH just out of the blue? Is there something going on between SYJ and KSH? I remembered that interview was for the cast of SAVE ME Kdrama that was shown on AUG-SEPT 2017 before KSH joined the military in October 2017. Was wondering if back then they are already an item since it was posted here also that Yea Ji  set an example that she spends her alone/me time in a cafe in Paju and that is where KSH was  assigned. Here's the video I was telling you. Finally found it after browsing our favorite couple's moments in YT because I miss them!

Yeah that is Coreopsis Arkansa -the love at first sight Flower.  Just guessing he's hinting that he fell in love at first sight to somebody? That somebody is the talk of the town nowadays maybe? Hahaha! Since he was always tagged by shippers regarding him and SYJ's chemistry and how they are perfectly matched. CF commercial was in 2014 and maybe he fell in love at first sight to her. Who wouldn't be? She's beautiful. So he's giving us hints? (DELULU)

In the public eyes, they only met in the pudding commercial in 2014. So, how did the host know how Yeji calls Soohyun though? I wanna know coz us shippers have been wondering since day one! Hahaha

@Private10 @firebabe Hmmmm, I don't speak Korean but I think that's just a caption that the video editor put to make a point that Taecyeon is a year younger than Kim Soo Hyun. I don't think they mention him at all in the conversation. The host just told her to address Taecyeon as Taecyeon Oppa. The placement of the caption is pretty deceiving.

 

This was Save Me's era and as for the world's concern during this time, Seo Ye Ji has no relationship with Kim Soo Hyun at all besides the one and only commercial. 

 

I do agree with the Paju theory though. Haha, I don't know how out of all the places, she said she likes to hang out there, where he enlisted. They probably know a lot of common people too, and maybe they kept in touch after 2014. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!

 

I hope to see Kim Soo Hyun congratulates Ye Ji with her award, maybe even attend the award ceremony with her.

@Private10 That simple ring that we're trying to connect to something might be so hard to find what brand. I guess in my opinion and this is on me, that ring was made to order. I don't know, I just have a feeling that is personalize/ customize for her.

 

About not confirming or denying, I read somewhere in one of his interviews that he is being told by his manager to deny or not confirm if he is in a relationship. Or something like that or was it even if he is in a relationship he should deny it? But since he is under GM now, I don't know if that still applies.

Love seeing everyone's opinions about how Hyunji happened.

 

It's just so unexpected and until today I still can't believe it. I hope one day they'll reveal how it all started. Like some of you speculated, it must be an attraction at first sight kind of thing cause I can't wrap my head around how one CF leads to today. You have to have some type of attraction that's why there's continuous interest in wanting to court. Seems like Yeji was just someone he was always attracted to, and it was just a matter of time before he built up some courage to make it happen lol

 

To be honest, before I sailed the Hyunji ship, I was a bit cautious about Soohyun because he's always so friendly and being so handsome, I was sure he has a lot of girls chasing after him so I felt maybe he's not the serious dating type. So I didn't really like pairing him up with Yeji. I learned of her past history with bullies and how fragile she is so I just wanted her to be protected. But then days went on, I feel like that friendly side of his is actually somewhat for the public to be seen only (somewhat fooling them tbh lol). Meanwhile, what he really wants, he does it secretly lol Plus it was also Yeji's trust in him that somewhat converted my impression of him.

 

Antis and haters still want to deny Soohyun's involvement and power with GM but I beg to differ. There's a thing called one man agency or something like that; it means the artist wants to go solo and because they have established a comfortable amount of cash, they are able to establish their own agency (i.e. Hyolyn from Sista, Psy, Park Seo Joon, etc.). The whole point of one man agency is they have more control of their schedules, projects, etc. and its also a business plan that one day it becomes an investment. In Soohyun, the path is obvious, Yeji didn't join GM just cause its some agency approaching her. Soohyun and her must be super super super close for her to join. Deny it all you want but I think she joined GM cause Soohyun lol. And I have to say Soohyun is doing one hell of a job at protecting her.

 

I'm really excited to see this ship harvest into a blissful marriage one day

to be honest I previously was on the KSH-IU ship I just thought he liked her and treated her wonderfully so he liked her. When news broke of SYJ being cast alongside him for the drama I was pretty sceptical. I hadn't seen any of her works so I was like let's see. The boom the tvn interview I jumped ship hahaha. All board the Hyunji.

I realized that although he has known IU for so long he has never treated her this way, leave alone the fact that she is an idol.

I have been a KSY fan for a while and I can honestly in my opinion say with SYJ, KSY is the lucky one even with all money and fame he has.

I feel like she treats him for who he is and doesn't give two cents about his wealth. She isn't afraid to say he has lame jokes out in public but she also turn to him for advice. It would be his loss if he let her go.

Him being a perfectionist that he is but still seeking her approval and opinion is just nice like the case of the photo shoot where he asked if he should put his hands in his pocket ot not or how wide they should smile.

I think this time he is hell bent on making this work. And he is protecting her at all costs which is good to see. From the looks of things he certainly was hooked from the get go haha. I also feel like the skinship in episode 16 was just them subtly telling us they are an item hahaha.

And its true you just don't do one CF with a person five years ago shot in a single day then boom you join their agency which is a start up. Their is very very much more to it than what meets the eye. You don't get that comfortable with your costar in a mere several months.

I wish them all the best and can't wait for the pre wedding shots hahaha.

On a side note the business strategy of GM is genius. I think they made lots of money from the drama because they were part of the production team and also had their two artists in it. And are doing a good job so far promoting the younger ones.

As for the antis KSY has chose SYJ over your bias. Get over it please. Either join us or leave us alone.

Then SYJ agreed and said that she liked that line too  Which kind of cemented my belief that both were attracted with each other since the 2014 CF, enough for KSH to initiate contact/communication (probably got her number?) and then their friendship started. Then maybe their romantic relationship started around 2016-17

@Private10 speaking of REAL movie with Sulli (RIP) gosh! KSH was so hot there, It was so amazing, excuse the minors, how they portray the sex scenes it's like it's really real! LOL!
