I've been meaning to find a good time to extract myself from this thread, it is literally interfering with my life (not sleeping, etc.). But I won't lie and tell you that today's BTS wasn't what pushed me to finally do it. It totally was. I am one of the people who immediately came to the conclusion that they are NOT dating and they do NOT have romantic feelings toward each other (especially of LMH who I felt was treating her more like a close younger colleague this time around in the BTS). I share the same sentiment as the Naver shippers, who have fully sunk the ship at this point.

 

However, the reason why I'm back to explain my perspective, is because: 1) for those who have expressed that they felt flat/really sad about this ship after BTS 16, I don't think anyone explained WHY. So I want to share with you the points that stuck out. 2) However there are THINGS that are still keeping me feel a little hopeful for the two. I would not have come back if all I had were points to bring the mood of this thread down. That's why I tried leaving without telling you why in the first place. So let me explain. 

 

REASON WHY THEY AREN'T 

• The head pats / back pats - you'll see throughout ep. 16 BTS at certain moments (i.e. - 3:50 / 7:49) that LMH pats her back twice on separate occasions and pats her head on two separate occasions at the end. In Korea, this is a sign of just friendly close colleague relationship. This is probably the PRIMARY reason why the Knetz on Naver have sunk the ship completely. In fact, the back pats instantly reminded me of GYxKGE. I can't find those clips now, they're floating somewhere on IG, but that is EXACTLY how GY treated KGE at the end of emotional scenes (to try and help her through the crying/emotional scenes/comfort her). I think we can all agree that GY and KGE are not an item and they never were. Like literally, I cannot emphasize how much the actions were EXACTLY the same. 
• No laughing - I totally expected, based on previous interactions between the two, especially LMH would laugh more throughout the ep. 16 scenes. I mean, Jeong Tae Ra was hilarious, he barely laughed. We did not see the same laughter/giddiness/trying to touch her in the many scenes throughout ep. 16 (except for maybe at the beach when they were bouncing around). 
• Overall vibe - I can't explain it, ep. 16 just felt SO FLAT. It felt like LMH was trying to rush through filming and was SO happy at the end when he was done. I know you're saying that he was sad too but couldn't show it, but I personally felt that he wanted to get out of there ASAP. 

Now here comes the part that I've been tossing over my head as unexplainable / can maybe explain some of the above.

• KGE was really TIRED. She was NOT herself. There are moments when she would laugh like her usual self, but most of the time, especially when they were filming that reunion hug scene, she looked REALLY tired. In fact, you can actually tell LMH was trying to make her laugh/cheer her up but was unsuccessful at 3:31. He actually uses the same line in ep. 15 (you said something that deserves scolding / ruffles hair) but you see KGE does not react to this AT ALL and he looks maybe a little disappointed? Knetz on Naver also pointed this out, saying they were heartbroken to see KGE look so tired, apparently they heard that the filming at the end went non-stop throughout the day and night.
• What LMH said after the backpat - so I mention the backpat at 3:50 as one of the reasons why this ship may have sunk. On second look and after looking at some analysis Knetz did, perhaps not. I'm really confused. At 3:50, the director calls "cut, OK!" and LMH celebrates a little as I assume this marks the end of filming for that day. If you watch KGE, she actually lifts her hand and waves tiredly at LMH (I think she's saying bye to him). While patting her back, LMH, based on some lip reading from Knetz goes "I'll see you at the filming location tomorrow." I really don't know how to take this point. One of the Knetz said this is unusual for colleagues. For me, it seems normal, like "good job, see you tomorrow" but I'm confused at this point now. 
• LMH taking a photo - at first, when I saw this, I was like "maybe KGE or the staff members asked LMH to take candid photos to commemorate this since it's special for their team." But I'm not so sure of that anymore. Some of you pointed out, but the angle at which he is taking the photo is a little weird. It's very low and he doesn't extend his arms out, which if someone asked me to take photos, I'd be clicking away at different angles. So I don't think this is the case. Someone also mentioned possibility of taking a video for them to monitor. I am 90% sure that is not the case. If you look at the screen, the button is WHITE which indicates photo. Red button on iPhones indicates video mode. And plus, it's not his job to monitor them. I do think he gave out advice not because he felt out of the loop, but the staff members were being shy & awkward and so he told them to be greedy for screen time. An interesting point here, the one who actually responded right back to LMH and was not that shy towards him, was the one who has uploaded that riverside photo of the two / commented on KGE's photo recently. 
• No official goodbye seen - someone mentioned here earlier, that KGE followed LMH's staff to their car area before they left. I thought this was an interesting point, especially given that fan's account on a Korean thread about the last filming location. If I recall correctly, she seemed to have been RIGHT THERE at the two cars from the moment LMH/KGE arrive until they left in their respective cars. She even mentioned getting a signature from KGE. What I find interesting is, if this was indeed the last time they were seeing each other, I feel like LMH and KGE would have hugged or said some sort of official goodbye before each of them left in their cars. I mean, I think we can all agree that they don't hate each other (lol). Wouldn't ANY two co-stars have had an official goodbye before leaving if that was the last time they were seeing each other? Based on her account, it seemed like both of them probably took photos with staff at the central filming location, made their way one after another to their respective cars, took more photos with their respective staff members, and then LEFT the location. If it were indeed the very last time, they would have said bye. 
• Weird editing in BTS - some Knetz mentioned this but they found the editing weird. I think people here in this thread think the same. They specifically mentioned the footage of them taking photos holding hands on the beach + more official footage of them bouncing around on the beach (the one that was released via fancam). Some are questioning why those two specific scenes were included in the BTS. Taking photos, especially by staff members, wasn't even part of the "making" of the film. There are questions as to whether or not this was a way to tone down speculation since the beach photos + beach fancam got pretty popular. Same exact thinking as those before me who have expressed the same question in this thread. 
• KGE's makeup artist comment on her IG - I really think this could either mean EVERYTHING or NOTHING. First off, the comment was not deleted. It's still there, you may have to scroll to find it. It sometimes shows up on top and sometimes on the bottom of her comments. I have noticed that that makeup artist is very close with KGE. She consistently comments on KGE's posts and is VERY cute with her (they are unni dongseng relationship). Her comment around "I wonder what made this woman so happy ;heart emoticon with arrow;" could be completely innocent and meaningless since she frequently comments on her IG. But I just find it a little weird given that she was also the one who has posted the riverside photo + video of KGE playing a game on the same bench as LMH. But I have looked at her other stylist's IG and the makeup artist did leave a comment "unni are you happy??" under one of her photos too, so now I'm not sure what to think of this comment. Super crazy coincidence that doesn't mean ANYTHING but just a reflection of the way she likes to leave comments?

 

Things I personally believe to small / not critical details - giving her red roses (let's be real LMH doesn't have the time to buy or think about what color flowers to give to his partner at the end of filming. They were filming day and night, his staff got the flowers, he passed them out. End of story). The control room kiss scene (moments of shyness, but I really can't tell the difference between how LMH acted with other co-stars when kissing. It's just hard to tell what's acting vs. not when it comes to kissing scenes).

 

Ok I already wrote so much. I would love to hear your thoughts. And yes I am still working on extracting myself from the thread, but please forgive me as I slowly transition (I guess I can't cold turkey like I tried to this morning hehe).

Ep 16 BTS is the mother of all BTS for our shipping hearts...Why? Read along

 

I'm attaching this insta video of BTS 16 so my post can be validated with proof..hehehe (Cr.owner)

 

1) TKEM has so many stellar cast and of course we had so many scenes in the final episode yet BTS had only 0:55 secs of footage in this humongous 9:17 min footage video for poor KKN , WDH and Lee Rim?..Who hogs the rest of the video?? OUR BABIES Y'ALL Who says we are delusional when the channel and management are feeding fodders rather directly like this! Even in that 0.57sec footage note LMH , you will know what's professionalism means here

 

2) Look at 0:57sec when KGE enters hopping cutely, we can see LMH's smiling cheekbones . This guy never takes his eyes off her even for a sec even for a NG..gosh

 

3) At 1:19 he completely lost it even though camera focuses his back. At 1:38 Maximus got fed up with these lovebirds and moves away thinking "just get married and make babies and have them ride on me..I feel awkward to pry on you guys anymore " 

 

4) My fav : 1:48 to 2:05 Pyeha is caught red-handed..I love love loved LMH here, he so wanted to see KGE in "plain and simple" mode and look at his eyes for the first few secs..such love (don't talk about professionalism here when a fully ready ML watches a FL practicing in her tees ..duh??) and then he did the unthinkable..he wanted this memory ..for himself in his freaking mobile..scoot got a click and flipped as fast as possible ..if only he knew he is in the frame of BTS camera..LOL..now twitter CIDs are having a field day with it And what does he do immediately flipping the phone? giving orders to KGE staffs to cover up..just like how a kid behaves after getting caught stealing a cookie. oh my poor poor lovestruck boy!

(BTW I will be indebted if any good souls in this thread translate what he said)

 

5) At 2:45 when KGE is riding with the camera, who is giving that dorky smile from behind??? any guesses ? think think  I am sure he is capturing this pic too..(I really need to steal LMH mobile now to see his collection )

 

6) At 2:52 KGE is exhibiting excellent foreplay ministrations with her hands (I pitied LMH here again) and by 3:07 look at that coat clutch by KGE..this is why every damn hug of them is freaking real...(Trust me in the number of kdramas I watched, FLs never bother to even touch the back of ML when hugging standing like a puppet and I have multiple times screamed on my screen in sheer frustration)

 

7) 3:22 my boy unleashed his charm...even though its supposed to be JTE initiated kiss..look at him pouncing on her lips at any given opportunity 

 

8) From 3:34 I saw a very caring LMH trying to cheer KGE up who is visibly down..  tried to pluff her hair, let her play with the whip by taking the bouquet from her hand, patting her back ..omo..perfect boyfriend gestures!!(I am suspecting its the second last day last scene shoot and she is already feeling anxious of not seeing him anymore in sets and the half-hearted bye explains it)

 

9) 4:10 personal photoshoot  with oooooohsss from the staff (Again I want to know what the hell did LMH tell to KGE before chuckling there? at this rate I might have to learn Korean fast)

 

10) I died laughing from 4:27 peaking at 5:07 till 5:19 when LMH literally couldn't control..I am sure he imagined KGE with that leaves 5:22 to 5:24 is SBS way of cooling the shipping fandom to dilute the fancam incident as it leaked like fire..and we can see it right through that they are surely enjoying themselves and its not part of a script .

 

11) Goofing KGE is such a eye-candy from 5:38 and look at LMH smile at 5:48, he didn't even look at her face , still he knows she is goofing around..I bet he knows her by-heart now..he is practically engaged to her and at 5:56 look at his hands patting her head which was edited out in actual scene..its not acting .. its pure instinct of protection..this BTS showed how protective LMH is of KGE..period

 

12) At 6:56 LMH started smiling even before the lifting scene and 7:01 shows the beauty of KGE's shyness hiding herself onto LMH shoulders

 

13) At 7:23 notice KGE eyebrows after the first peck..hmmm hmmm hmmm ..I say it again they freaking kissed for real and 7:31 poor micboy leaves the place leaving the lovebirds to do the deed (I know its for a long shot but our couple didn't seem to care..LOL)

 

14) From 7:38 to 7:48 they probably enacted the scene with their chitchat and they just having their casual talk in front of camera (any lipreading korean's here? mind translating what they were chatting?) and at 7:49 LMH was going to hold KGE hands which was abruptly cut and we are shown the friendly co-stars pat on back instead..If you watch carefully even from 7:50 KGE started to tear up and wanted to get out as soon as possible.

 

15) From 7:52, its the GOLDEN PART OF BTS Y'ALL..PURE GOLD LMH has already realised KGE is feeling down and look at how he tries to cheer her indirectly by laughing so hard though its not from the heart..If you have noticed previous BTSs you would have known by now how LMH smiles whole-heartedly but I didn't see it here..He was trying everything little out-of the box by laughing loudly to bring that chirpy girl back but even after carefully choosing the red rose for her when she couldn't meet his eyes, he knew he lost the battle and the last resort is " come on ..why are you crying?" indirectly meaning " I am not going anywhere" with the head pat...KGE losses it there with a nod meaning "nothing just let me be" ..if LMH tried to hold her one more time am sure KGE would have bawled her eyes out on him..thats very gentlemanly of LMH to ease the situation there..even at 6:10 when he pats again after the couple pic, look at KGE immediately welling up and rushing to get away from him...KGE is trying to cope up the separation anxiety like how many of us do..very very natural..am more touched with LMH gestures here and the way he protected her and stood there for her..They both are lucky to have each other if they ended up together in future <3

 

16) Lastly look at 9:02 they blurred everyone's pics except our couple, if SBS really want to slump everything down, they won't leave such hints. Yup its me the ever positive me speaking 

 

 

We got so many moments inspite of them shooting racing against time , no wonder we got so many BTS scenes in the real episodes..LMH and KGE perfectly portrayed how to balance professionalism and personal in this BTS.. Kudos to these souls and may happiness always engulf them.

 

BONUS: Now why did you all thing LMH posted that IG pic yesterday before this BTS? ... he knows people..he freaking knows we will be like this so he gave us fuel before hand.

 

Now dissect this BTS more and move the thread faster Chingus...we have a beautiful couple to ship and its sailing towards its destination  with strong winds..trust me we are almost there

I wish good luck for both lmh and Kge. wish that kge would have more projects despite having lower than expected ratings in korea. But to international audiences, its a different story. I have been following kge for quite some time and found that she is good in creating or weaving her magic onscreen with her co-Star. U can see this unfold  from goblin to cheese In the trap to tune in for love and a lot more movies that will make you ship her with her co stars. Aside from that she isn’t your usual cookie cutter kpop girl and that makes her stand out from the rest. Thank you tkem for the opportunity of showing her skills yet again and we hope to see more of her in the future. (Lmh we are sure bec he is premiere hallyu star)

I am really glad to see your post. I had the same exact feeling and went to twitter rehab last night. And many amazing and kind ladies here have been very kind expressing their views on why they strongly believe there is something going on between them. And twitter rehab will back their claims. Interestingly, I realized that’s why twitter mended my broken heart because they show us the bts per segment, because it is the truth, the bts is a hodgepodge of scenes. Twitter people are very good at breaking down the bts into each cut/scene which makes all sense since they cuts are not related to each other. When I saw all these bts in separate videos, I was really amazed with how these two are so attracted to each other. I can go on but the officers of this ship can explain it so much better than I could.

 

This drama (show and their lovelife) has really affected me. I wasn’t joking when I said I took 2 weeks off work just to indulge myself into this beautiful mess. I have not slept last night, too, and yet still went to work today. I am very insane over this whole LMH and KGE. Thank God for all the bills I have to pay, they make me snap back to what is my reality.

@jy_cohh You gave us interesting perspectives from Korean POV since most of us wouldn't take head pats as only a sibling thing to do. I don't think they said their good byes during the last day of filming. I think it was more for thanking each other for their hard work. We won't ever get to actually see them saying their good byes. Perhaps some of them might even leave it off as they might continue their friendships. Honestly, they both look tire from the constant filming, but I think LMH's mood revolves around KGE's mood. She look much more tire and upset than usual so his mood follows that. Usually he laughs from her silly actions or her smiles but since she hasn't been smiling as much, it makes it hard for him to smile back. Like you mentioned, he tried to lift up her mood to no avail. I do think he was happy filming ended. Stress had been lifted off. He usually get very tire from filming as stated from his past interviews. 

 

As much as I want to see KGE's next work, I hope she can get some rest before she pursue her next project. She had been working nonstop ever since she got back to Korea, form Hero straight to TKEM.

Ok, I REALLY NEED to put my feet down - if you are STILL A DOUBTER in Uri Beloved Couple, PLEASE KINDLY LEAVE THIS SHIP.

I am NOT naming names - but I am HONESTLY tired of people who do not mean what they say - if you want to leave the ship because you are uncertain, PLEASE LEAVE.

We do NOT need LONG explanations about your doubts.

Perhaps you just want to sink this ship because deep down inside, you do NOT like the pairing of Uri Beloved Couple and you are coming up with ALL KINDS of justifications from KNetz and NAVER especially. So, now you have deigned yourself to INTERPRET how KNetz feel JUST because you read and understand Korean?

Your actions here are similar to a guérilla Attack on this ship.

Your ‘words of justification’ as to WHY you don’t think Uri Beloved Couple is real do NO BELONG HERE.

Anyway, at the end of the day, wherever this ship is ending up - it’s beyond our control. We just want to BLESS them - BOTH Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun with our wishes / hopes /

Morning fellow court ladies!! Hope everyone is feeling better and calm down.. 

 

Please bear with my long post again 

 

Firstly

I would like to correct something which is LMH did not "pat" KGE head or back... He "rub/caress" her head/back... Thats the different... 

 

Secondly

I am going to support my stance on why I think they are dating or at least in the initial stage of dating... I know alot say LMH is no longer giddy.. Why?? Coz they have taken their relationship to another level.. They have confirmed mutual feelings thus it no longer the giddy infatuation that we see before ep 12... the affections we see after ep 12 mirrors what couples do... Did anyone realise that whenever the PD calls for cut after their hugs/kisses after ep 12, LMH/KGE did not immediately detach from each other.. they looked at each other affectionately coupled with back rubs arm rubs... normal coworkers doesn't do that... if they are just in the infatuation stage, all these rubs are abit too much... additionally you can see KGE reciprocating to LMH affections which actually means alot... KGE rubbing LMH neck followed by running her fingers down his chest while rehearsing for the reunion kiss... like seriously.. does infatuation couples do that?? Its way too intimate... 

 

Thirdly

I'm going to touch about the final scene... Again those were rubs and not pats... LMH gave KGE alot of shoulder rubs, head rubs  and sideways hugs... all these are NOT farewell hugs but consoling hugs... he was taken aback by her crying thus wanted to console her but KGE shun away a couple of times as I'm proven in my earlier posts that it appears that she is the type that doesn't like others to touch her when she is emotional... the crying reunion bts, LMH again rubbed her back after PD called cut but KGE backed off again...  the freaking carpark is huge but why did LMH parked his huge black van right in front of KGE car?? It's like a bf hinting the gf saying you are not going anywhere without me or without me knowing...  

 

Fourthly..

**Disclaimer - I need to pull in other FL to support my explanation so pls bear with me***

 

I understand people wanna see big bear hugs as they confuse this with love... I watched the heirs wrap up party and LMH gave PSH a bear hug... From what I saw, he did not give it willingly as they were asked to do it for fan service... Shippers went crazy coz they saw this as LMH loves PSH as he gave her a bear hug but to me it only screams Farewell... its like thank you for your patience with me and it has been awesome journey filming with you.. take care and all the best... Yes LMH was bidding farewell to everyone except KGE.... He was genuinely concerned when she cried as it tugged his heart thus he kept trying to tell her why cry don't cry and even attempted to try to hug her but failed miserably....

Based on the video, it doesn't actually show LMH taking a photo. So I wonder if the editing caught him after he snapped a photo OR if he really was just trying to see how the scene looked through a screen. I think it's the former - he already snapped a photo and the editing just shows him after it happens, because 1) his finger is hovering over the button, 2) I tried looking at the bottom left square (where it shows you your last most recent photo and it looks mostly white to me --> the car). Anyone care to confirm what I'm seeing?
