hiitsnina
Apologies if this has been shared already BUT!!! The whole gang here killing itヽ(;▽;)ノ This is such a convincing edit I’m crying... I think that hovering mask gave it away... Binjin honestly stole the show for being the most elegantly dressed amongst all attendees. I checked everyone’s suit sets and gowns and they were all stunning and unique in their own ways but the elegance and effortless?? BinJin snatched that. ElectricHearts
Going back memory lane reading in HB and SYJ threads of PIFAN 2014. Even when Pirates and Fatal Encounter were coming out that year, there were articles about both of their films lol. It is a bit amusing now seeing their pics side by side in those threads then the MC on the red carpet even asked HB about if he had marriage plans as his Late Autumn co star and director announced their marriage He said "Not yet" Whoever Guest bratzjoyce was back then posted on July 18 in SYJ thread (This is also around the time she was doing Pirates promotion lol) Quote SYJ and Hyun Bin please make a movie or series, you have a good chemistry ; /:) /:) One of the posters that use to post in here last year had a full on conversation about SYJ and HB on page 557 in SYJ thread about when HB got cast on Hyde Jekyll Me and hoping SYJ was the lead instead lol. - I almost got confused with what thread I was in I guess in the picture above in my spoiler tag he was talking to Kim Woo Bin sigh lol. HB, why didn't you look at her then. The way she looked at you is the same now Anyways, that was fun! I should do this more often look at both SYJ and HB thread at the same time when going through by picking a year lol. You also get to see similar stuff they did lol. 9 8 4

Sigh but I think there was either no more space once everyone got into their places after or because he is tall, he was asked to stand back in the top row so close yet so far In the second pic, it looks like he was trying to stand closer to them LOL! but sadly the girl next to him is too short and he would have blocked her lol 8

I have suffered from it on and off for years, although never suicidal, and this Covid-19 pandemic and being stuck at home with my business on hold have really triggered my anxiety to the highest level but thanks to Crash Landing On You (my first Kdrama in a long time and the second Kdrama I have ever watched, the first one was Personal Taste a decade ago) and BINJIN, I have coped up well and my mental health has been stable. I'm sure after watching the drama, a lot of people who suffer from anxiety/ depression like the one who wrote the above blog article can relate to Seri's line: "I realized I did not want to die, I just did not want to live!" Popular Post RiRiGaGa
Throwback Thursday (It's still Thursday in the States y'all ) One of my favorite BTS of them playing some game during TN promo. Being in their own little blissful bubble, as per usual. Note how CLOSE Binssi's hands are next to close friend's thigh. I mean you really gotta excuse him, guys. 1) The bench was far too small for the both of them to sit at an appropriate distance apart. 2) Binnie suffers from a breathing condition called Yejinsma, it's sorta like asthma, but when he sits too far apart from close friends named Ye Jin, he can't breathe his own air. So he's gotta sit closer to her so they can breathe in the same air and maintain his O2 levels. It's a rare but fatal condition. It's a survival method, really. Can't blame the guy for trying to keep breathing and living. Close friend's his air supply. 3) Sometimes, Ahjusshi's manner hands just get tired and slip, ok? It happens! 4) *Ahem*..Idk about these two..But, the last time a "close friend" of mine had his hands THAT close to my thigh during our 2nd date, he became my husband (not like on that 2nd date, I'm a classy girl, lol, years down the line) Just sayin'. 6 59 5
Popular Post Walk Kindly
Thanks @cgb1108 @yejinatic1981 for the links.. Its a good retrospective article.. I put some paragraph regarding her point of view of Crash Landing on You "When solace is dramatized, it tends to be portrayed as therapy visits, ones where you cry yourself empty, meals spent with friends or family, or the character in the short story who, in the last few paragraphs, looks at something beautiful in nature and, somehow, that peony dripped with rain opens a locked door inside him. My solace is a K-drama on Netflix: Crash Landing on You. The premise is this: an obscenely wealthy young businesswoman has a paragliding accent and ends up in the demilitarized zone. This woman, Yoon Se-ri, runs into members of a North Korean military unit, including her future love interest, Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok. Making a poor choice, Se-ri disregards the directions Ri Jeong-hyeok gives her and goes the wrong way. She runs through a field laden with land mines, finds a conveniently fallen tree that has smashed into the electric fence, and parkours over it into North Korea. We live in a world where anything feels possible. Why should I ask television to behave rationally? In the episodes that follow, Se-ri learns how to live a much different life than the one she has in South Korea. She learns North Korean customs, befriends North Korean people, and from the experiences—friendship, trauma, fear, curiosity, love—changes as a person. She doesn’t become a perfect person from this exposure to people culturally and economically different than her; there’s a later scene, back in Seoul, where she buys apartment buildings and promises her tenants two years free rent if they go fight her enemies in a warehouse for her. I laughed at the absurdity of that situation typing it out. Yet, every time I’ve watched that scene, I’ve thought about how if one of my landlords had handed me a baseball bat and asked me to fight someone for two years free rent, I would’ve at least sat down and made a pros and cons list. So, yes, there are flaws. There are probably other problematic moments for people who have deep cultural understandings of either nation. Even still, while watching Crash Landing on You, something became deeply apparent to me. That despite my deep distrust of the U.S. government, despite my complicated relationship with capitalism, I had never thought deeply about North Koreans as people. I had never taken a moment to parse the American rhetoric about that nation, learn more about their culture, or consider how easily I had swallowed the ideas that bricked up my empathetic imagination. In mainstream U.S. television, who gets to be a person? What is culturally upheld in television shows? How often do we get to see people from other countries not as terrorists, not as victims who desperately need us, not as people to use as punch lines, but as people? Let me take it a step further. How often does our culture let us see our own indigenous, Latinx, and Black people as people? Especially without the cloak of a “respectable” job like police officer? In Crash Landing on You, Ri Jeong-hyeok is a classic romantic hero. He is handsome, reserved, and has beautiful manners. In, I think, every episode, his looks are remarked upon; in a later plot point, he becomes the star of a viral video because he is a man who is somehow handsome and nice enough to open the door for people. Ri Jeong-hyeok is also seeking justice for the politically motivated murder of his brother. He is an incredible pianist. He has several fighting scenes that I can only describe as John Wick–esque. Ri Jeong-hyeok also sulks, makes poor decisions, takes video games too seriously, and hurts the feelings of people around him. He is a person. He is a North Korean person. I was ashamed that the first time I had thought seriously about North Koreans as people was via the vehicle of an attractive South Korean actor. I felt alive because suddenly, unexpectedly, I was learning. I was questioning my beliefs and thinking of ways to make myself a better person. As Ri Jeong-hyeok and Yoon Se-ri suffered, I became more and more attached to them. I grew. In Crash Landing on You, Se-ri finds a community that she’s never had before in her life. Women and men to drink and commiserate with, people to tease and argue with who never expected to have a friend quite like her. These are characters whose countries have consistently been at war, who at this point have been steeped for generations in dehumanizing rhetoric about one another. Crash Landing on You never wastes its joy. It turns the camera on friendships: a surprise birthday party filled with song and elaborate bouquets; a roasted potato eaten by a campfire; chicken wings and a soccer game; and taking a lover’s hand in the movie theater as the lights dim." Popular Post Lk k
Hi all, I believe the past few days after Beaksang has been a roller-coaster coaster ride for most of us, albeit most of them are good signs. Have diligently read through the pages, I am here to share my take of the ongoing situation. I'm personally more concerned with they ongoing and future plans as I believe all the past actions (denials) were done for a good reason which I think there is nothing to debate about. Open for discussion Baeksang - the turning point Alot of posts have pointed out that Baeksang awards is the last major event which both hb and yj attended together, thus it is considered as the 'last hurdle' to cross. Assuming they won't want to steal the limelight at the event or get bombarded by their colleagues about their relationship during the event, they would chose to lay low from the time up to the award ceremony, which they did. This was especially for YJ where she literally disappeared in social media, interviews and work events for the past 4 months which indeed caused some concerns in us. However, to our relief, she totally surprised all as she sprung out in a perfectly radiant and cheerful self during Baeksang which meant that she had a good recharge and rest during the past months. So it is no longer intriguing why she had been low profile for these month, to the extent not milking her popularity to take up more endorsements and work. She has purposely done that to avoid potential critics and ultimately avoid any attention on their relationship so as not to overshadow the event when both attend together. And coincidentally (or not), we can see her more active on social media (her likes and posting) and their respective companies posting their work videos and updates after the ceremony. After Baeksang I would always have thought they would and would be wise for them to remain low profile till the day they announced but gosh(!?) I am wrong from the interactions we saw for the past few days. On hindsight, I would say what they have done, esp yj, after the award ceremony was unexpected but a even smarter way to handle the situation. After crossing the Baeksang hurdle, they will not have any event to attend together and no longer need to face the pressure from media and friends, thus this is a turning point where they can emerge from their shell and be more open on the relationship (example YJ IG Likes) . So now we have to understand why they chose to take this path to give subtle hints to all instead of keeping a low profile till annoucement. By doing such movements, they are slowly conditioning the fans, media and peers out there to hint them about their relationship, instead of a big bang approach when they suddenly annouce with no prior hints at all. Should they do the sudden announcement, alot of their fans, especially diehard anti cp fans would be very disconstructed, and may potentially become anti fans causing a fanwar. This is detrimental, specifically to hb as you would know that he values love and support from fans alot. Their subtle way to reveal the truth is an intelligent way to convert these fans out to accept the truth and give them their blessings. But all these has to be done tactfully so as not to generate negative critics. Her ig likes is of good intent for this cause but it caused some stir that day so it is actually wise for us not to proporgate such incident which may be blown out of proportion when it is known to media or anti fans. Moving forward Many of us are eager to know whats in the cards for them. So as I said in the previous paragraph, if I guess correctly, they will be more open on their relationship in their respective work areas, be it their interviews (hb cueing yj in smart) or even having cf collaboration (manyo website ad shot). All these are subtle movements to test the fans reactions so that they are taking to best approach. They are treading on thin ice now, taking calculated and tactful moves to make sure all turns out well. I hope those diehard fans can catch those hints and be psychologically prepared. As in the golden ticket question on when they would announce, this is dependable on fans reaction and it is also important to consider the consistency of the prior development and previous denials. We know that the last denial was Feb at the end of the show. While we all know that they should be together since Jan 2019, the official statement is that they are not together up till Feb 2020 due to the denial. To prevent speculations that the previous statement is flawed, should they announce the relationship, the statement should be along the line that theh develop feelings with each other after the drama wrap up and the timeline should start earliest Feb 2020. If this is the case, the annoucement for marriage can not be so fast else it would seem unbelievable. If they annouced just the relationship now, then even now is the right time (4 months). Imo, i think they will announced marriage directly thus I predict their annoucement should be sometime after Feb, prehaps year end or beginning next year. ______ All in all, I feel both of them are in their good form now ( from their cf shots) and all the signs are pointing to the right direction. Their baeskang interaction as I said in the previous post is nothing short of sweet if we closely look at the off cam interactions and the new candies we are seeing this few days. I totally admire their matured and intelligent way of handling their relationship, and I believe with time and space given to them, they will reach the destination very soon. Cheers 25 22 4
ElectricHearts
@RiRiGaGa I always noticed how close they were then. It made me want more footage of them playing lol. Like there is no personal space between them too as you mentioned his hand at the beginning lol. Plus when he most likely learned how she is at playing games unless they already played some games before then. At her house where she has a stack of games collection Also I noticed the m store ad of them together is gone as I was browsing the website earlier. I wonder when it was removed. I hope it wasn't after people were making fan art out of it.. with the m part 2
