[Drama 2019] V.I.P, 브이아이피

They’re such a tease! We’re not going to find out still. More guessing. So here are some thoughts after watching ep 8 raw. 
 

1. I still don’t think it’s HyunA. Why would she, after finding out about the affair from the wife, go to the husband and say “I thought you were the type to only love one person. You should be that way.” 
2. I’m wondering if it’s the other best friend in the trio - the divorced branch manager who is always smiling and happy. That’s the only other character so far who is really close to the wife whom we’ve been introduced to.

3. I don’t think it’s YuRi. I think she may have a one sided crush, but I think they’ve been in contact solely based on him supporting her as his boss’ mistress. I don’t think he’s bold enough to cheat with his boss’ lover. and I think the hospital bill that the wife found in the drawer is to pay for YuRi’s mom bill on behalf of the VP. I can already see the wife connecting the dots on this, but I think it’s the wrong dots. 
4. I think that the pregnant woman isn’t the one either. The text message was vague. So maybe she thought someone knew she was meeting the marketing team manager and is working for

him as a spy. 
5. my biggest curiosity now is not who it is, but what happened to the couple in the past?!?!? They keep referring to it in these last 2 episodes, but no clarity still!!!! 
 

life would be so much better if people could communicate clearly and be honest.

I agree 100% - SJ is not and did not have an affair! He still shows that he loves JS.

He is also clearly uncomfortable cleaning up after the VP. It doesn't come naturally to him - from all I have seen he seems to actually be a caring man with empathy. I think ambition isn't what is driving him (at least solely) - I think there is something more sinister behind (like blackmail for example - or then he is working undercover for the prosecution or police - lol ). At least that's what I hope.

 

SJ also has a hard time communicating with his wife. When couples stop communicating, issues and problems will pile up. Like @smlinwa said, I would also like to know what marital crisis they faced previously. Seems it was something JS instigated and he held onto her at that time. I doubt it was cheating.

 

On a side note, the VP's wife is really vile - pouring that wine bottle all over YR. And the VP not even stepping in even though he (likely) is YR's father... Made me sad

If  you see the press conference to lqunch the drama , you will know that he is really a cheater because he spoke that he never want to be like his character because it is very bad.

This is going to be the must nerve racking drama...

I do not have a clue...other than this can not end on good terms for everybody....

She is hurt, her world just collapsed even moore and she would not have a return. She would definetly walk towards the storm but the outcome is what has me so nervous about it. She can either be divorce, married,  leave everyone and everything. Who knows. 

But I think I feel... even with him saying all this words; I do not want herbto suffer etc, etc...hid actions are different and they only made me think: he has already move on...just he has not accepted. But he is with another heart and mind. And I do not know if they would be able to make it work at this point.

yes, I agree...but we need to watch more because in the preview (latest) YR mentioned that ‘is it because of her wrongdoings...her mum is suffering now?’ {SangWoo saw something on laptop LOL}

The last few seconds of episode 8 reveals a man who cares more about a subordinate than his own marriage crisis. Priorities people .... maybe that's why the marriage is on the rocks..... Maybe the guy just likes to rescue damsels in distress.... isn't that how many affairs begin?!?!? I have little to no compassion for that female newbie; and that young chaebol in disguise working for their dept. - based on the frequency of blunders he has made, he would have been fired a long time ago if his family wasn't influential. 

 

As much as I love Jang Nara and admire the abs of Lee Sang Yoon, the plot drags on too much and is a bit too melodramatic. The latest episode has given me gastric pains. I don't know if I wanna waste more of my good health on this one.... sigh.

He is still keeping mum so that he won't hurt his staff but his wife clearly, in no uncertain terms told him she must know. This may be the first male noble idiot I have come across.

 

If he is working undercover or espionage, he should be fired. I wouldn't want a spy who cannot cover his tracks well. 

 

I am disappointed this is not the IT episode we have been waiting.

I am not going to watch this episode.

 Just more red herrings.

It looks like the Kdrama formula of at least two breakups is applicable here.

I kind of agree with you that he has already moved on.   Him going to Yuri when he was supposed to go see his wife is very telling and means she is more important to him than JS.   He is comforting Yuri and I don't know if it is because she is his mistress,  the VP's mistress or illegitimate daughter.  If she is his daughter then he may have had an affair with her because the VP always had him doing things for her.  No matter what or who it is, I am not at all happy about it and I don't want JS to be hurt anymore.  If they divorce, she will have to leave her job in order to be able to move forward.  I am ready for episode 15 and 16 now.  I hate all the angst in between.  

 

He said in the preview to JS they should end things now.  It also showed SJ and JS shopping in the food dept and Yuri was watching them.  SJ also looked at her.  I'm really starting to think she is the one.  He was receiving text messages saying she wanted to meet him and she missed him.  He is definitely cheating. 

 

Just had another thought, after SJ moved out in yesterdays episode, he was talking to someone in his car and telling them he had already ended it on his end and they needed to end it on their end.  Could he have meant for Yuri to end her relationship with the VP so him and her could be together?  I guess we will have to watch and find out.  Let me know what you think.

I am taking a step back and start thinking of the ending. If the writer breaks up the marriage, they need to turn SJ into an utter cad so that we will be happy that she is free of him. I don't see him turning into that. This is KDrama not Shakespeare's tragedies or Pinter's

Yeah...I want her now out of this marriage. What ever the excuse and all that...she is hurt and needs a better tomorrow.  I want know a time jump or something like it..were we can se her happy and embracing a new life..even a new love why not...

By the way yesterday episode with  the CEO of the other companie...interested scene when he ask for SJ..if his parted was at his team...and he looking at our protagonist while signing the contract...interested scene...why can he be the new love interest for her....it would be nice...and give SJ jealously...a lot...

the more i watch the more answer i get and the more confused i have as well... So did SJ really cheat on JS? and is YR is the mistress? oh gosh! this is really confused.. but from what i see.. those VIP wives know who is YR.. so i think she might be the illegitimate daughter to that Mr Park .. and i think she likes SJ but SJ doesn't want to hurt her more that is why choose to be with her .. or Mr Park as his help to take care of his illegitimate daughter?

I think SJ is the middleman for VP; after messing up and letting VP's wife see Yuri, he feels pressured to keep her from bothering the VP and goes to de-esculate the situation.  Why he is willing to do the VP's dirty work, which he hates, I can't figure out. I mean he wants a promotion, but is that enough motivation?  And JS doesn't seem to know about this side job.  I still think mistress is married, pregnant mother, because that will be the biggest bomb for her husband and JS.  I think SJ still loves JS, so affair is hard to understand.  I mean he said it was an accident and over now, but if it is Mi Na, it is not over if she is pregnant, which he still doesn't seem to know.  What a mess!  If it is MiNa, her spying is even more of a betrayal of SJ.  What did young man find so shocking on SJ's computer?  It said New Hire, so I guess he thought it was for him, but probably for Yuri, and maybe it said VP's girlfriend.  I hate having to wait a week.

I still don’t think SJ has a mistress. I don’t know but among all the women in their team, there’s no one I could suspect and certainly not YR. I don’t know what he’s deal is but I’m getting tired of his blank expression

There is no way YuRi is the VP’s daughter. C’mon, how many of us would go in the middle of the night to a hotel or apartment to meet our dad in a tight/sexy dress?!?!?!?! Not me! She would have dressed in a nice, but very “daughter” outfit. 
 

also, I could see YuRi as the mistress for SJ. He said it was an accident. Maybe while he was taking care of her, comforting her, he ended up having the “accident.” And the fact that he last minute went to her instead of his wife says he has strong feelings for her. You don’t do that just for your boss’ mistress when your marriage is on the line.

I've only watched raw ep 8 & think I don't need eng sub.. So the clue Lee Sang Yoon mentioned as we get in ep 8 is the last hug scene of him & Oh Yu Ri..??! But I see no romantic expressions in Sang Joon's face for Yu Ri! It seems more like that he is protecting her from higher ups... 

 

And then Song Mi Na is so hard to get! I think her hubby doesn't even aware that his wife is pregnant! Then who is she pregnant with?! And she asked the doc to keep it a secret from other VIP members that she's pregnant! 

 

And I think Hyun A is a loyal friend to Jung Sun! I hope she keep it ahead & the writer doesn't convert her in the last sec as a foe to Jung Sun!

 

And the most important thing I still want to know that what is lacking in a smart businesswoman like Na Jung Sun that her husband got a move with another woman???! May be Na Jung Sun is stiff & doesn't know about emotions?!

 

And we are already half way through the series & what are we getting in the latter half of the series??! I really get bored sometimes now... The original story is showing only at the ending scenes & the side stories are more on-line! I hope the writer makes things works in the end!

I am watching on my cable TV so I am up to Ep 7 (Ep 8 tonight).
 

The SJ with hidden person in the car scene did throw me off a bit...so I look at the dialogue again. SJ said :

"JS has already been hurt more than she deserves. If she were to find out it was you, the wound will last forever. I cannot let that happen. This is the end for me. I won't go back. So finish it on your end too. Please."

I guess this is related to the past incident in SJ & JS's life : the one where JS asked SJ to hang on to her. And probably a clue in that locked room in their house. Could it be a miscarriage or their child who died ? 

I still think there is no affair.

 

HA, then SMN will be eliminated as suspects...then writer will zoom in on YuRi. And I guess it will turn out it is not her either.

Damn it . 2am, I'm watching this and excited to find out the big secret and this is what I get........ Unbelievable.

 

At this rate, I'm pretty much sure he is not cheating on his wife. Though, one thing is for sure, dude is cleaning up his boss' mess and prioritizing his job over his wife which is a big NO NO. Well, at least his character description was right, things are getting worse and worse. I wonder what his excuse will be this time. 

 

And yeah, when your partner tells you 'They will tell you everything' Boy, it's better if you tell them to spill the beans now cuz that conversation is not likely to happen later. 

 

Now what I'm curious about is what SW saw lol. He thought his boss was watching porn on his computer ( and who on earth leaves their computer open like that), but instead he gets to find out the secret which we were waiting for. Lucky him. But knowing SW with his big mouth and love for gossips, someone is likely to find out lol. 

 

PS. The posts and comments made me laugh lol. It's more entertaining than the actual drama.
