partyon
Only had time now to watch episodes 9 and 10. I have to admit that I am a bit underwhelmed by the crimes. We barely got any information about the motives for the boarding school crime. And there were inconsistencies in the story line, too. I do wish they would make the crimes a bit more complex, and I agree with some people who wish that they would solve the crime by the end of an episode. Now I feel like we have very little crime solving in episodes 9 and 10, and a lot of extra story lines that make little sense to me. I really want to love this season, but I am a little disappointed TBH... On a positive note. I like that they finally TALKED ABOUT THE RING. A mature couple should have open communication, so it was refreshing to see them finally take the bull by the horns. Also, it's so obvious that professor / CSI specialist Hwang Jae-min is infatuated with Kyung-mi. It's going to be fun to see if Kyung-mi will return the feelings at some point. Right now it seems like she thinks he's way too weird... Maybe she also finds his hairstyle too "Einstein".
tzupi
In episode 10, the cake shop owner after signing the contract to become the director of the foundation makes a strange remark. She refers to the brother as a judge. It seems from the conversation that she knows him from before when he was just a judge. So it seems that her revenge might have started before the events at the end of the last season. On the other hand, I think detective Ha has an attitude problem. Even his old friend told detective Ha that his inability to be nicer to people hurts him not only in his career (something that we have seen with team 1), but also in his plan for discovering the real culprit. I am wondering why the show insists so much that there is a problem with his attitude. I am also wondering whether our main couple is really mature. They can be, and the way they went about discovering what happened with the ring showed that, but their reaction to what happened is not quite mature. None of them wants to acknowledge their feelings. I think again the main problem is with detective HA. So I am wondering whether this season will show us the growth of detective HA. Last season ended up with him kind of recovering from the suffering for his old love, but there are still some issues with him. Did he ever say to Seol-ok about the possible return of the old girlfriend?
ross27
I enjoyed watching the latest episodes 9 and 10. This time round the poison crime case is quite simple. I laughed so much at Detective Ha when he warned the young man off for calling YSO noona and if the subtitles were correct, he said that he (Ha) and YSO were an item!? I am glad they cleared their misunderstanding on the loss of the ring BUT why did YSO not then ascertain from Detective Ha that he was going to give her the ring! In the end of the ring segment, we got a glimpse of the ring in the white box in someone's room. Was it in creepy cake lady's room or the cake assistant's? Kyung Mi and Prof Hwang's moments are all hilarious. Will season 1's captain still hold Kyung Mi's heart? The other really funny scene was the conversation between Manager Jo and Chief Shin when they were trying to figure out the true meaning of the note that Detective Ha wrote to Chief Shin and the gift of `expensive' bottle of drink. I am also curious about Inspector Woo's continuous search and investigation into Seo Hyun Soo and Creepy Cake Lady's real identity.

I think the ring is in creepy cake lady's room. And the Korean as far as I could tell, was on that borderline... as in they are "partners" but it's more playing on the line of partners in crime solving and always together, kind of thing... which makes it ambiguous. Those kinds of lines are a bit difficult to translate in less than 24 hours though, so I'd give the subbers slack. He has been protective of people calling her ajumma, though... defending it's a nickname, etc. I quite like Season 2. I don't mind the overlap in cases--J-dramas do this as well which is part of where the formatting comes from (or so I've observed). I also like the variety of cases she gets to tackle. I don't really need it to be a heart pounding mystery to like the show or like their banter.

lumibear
Finally watched EP 10 a few days ago, but I was underwhelmed. Felt like too many stories were going on. But the strong scene from Shin Nara above was one of my faves. I liked seeing Seol Ok supporting her too. It would be nice to see them work together on a case like catching the culprit from the bus. Yes, that scene was really nice. Thank you for pointing it out, especially with pictures. (Some episodes before I started liking Shin Nara, because, despite her ditzy personality, she can be very perceptive. In fact, it seems that she got to be like ditzy mostly because men (especially her father) do not take her seriously and do not challenge her. ) Returning to the scene you mentioned, I also like how the men's reaction is presented. They did not fully understand the trauma of sexual harassment. The two cops in the scene get angry (as if it is about themselves) and become very aggressive themselves. It is nice how Shin Nara responds to Seol Ok 's concerns because Seol Ok is respectful: she asks Sin Nara about the incident and waits for her answer, that is, let her speak. The cops speak over her. It was also interesting that Detective Ha was also not very sensitive to the whole situation. After he gives to Shin Nara and Seol OK a very good piece of advice, he touches Shin Nara and she flinches at his touch. But I like that he is shown to wait for them to finish talking, he does not interrupt them. I was thinking that the whole filming of these scenes was done in a very respectful manner. I was quite amazed at how they dealt with the subject.

But now that I know her motivation behind joining the police force, I'm open to seeing her part of the story.

lumibear
Episode 11: I really don't like Dr. Hwang right now. His character was annoying when he was first introduced, but Seol Ok's fangirl reaction to meeting him made him more bearable. However, his childish antics are too much. It was not funny at all when he pranked Kyung Mi. I was surprised to see Gye Sung Woo try to comfort her afterwards. That was nice of him. Ahhh, I loved seeing the ladies teaming up! And a new character was introduced! Seol Ok's fanboy~ He looks familiar, but I don't know the actor's name. He's real cute though. xD Cliffhanger. Omg.... Mi Joo has the worst luck. How could the writer use her in another case, but this time as a victim? -___- I honestly didn't think it was her in the beginning.
bebebisous33
At the end of the season, YSO will have her own team with Woo, HWS, her friend KM, SRN, MC Jay, the victim who will survive (I forgot her name). Now, we have a confirmation that YH is Secretary Kim.

ross27
@lumibear Yay to Women Power! Love the ladies team and how they managed to catch the bus molester. I love the friendship between YSO and Kyung Mi and how they supported each other so well! Prof Hwang's prank on Kyung Mi was so not right and kudos to Detective Gye for his surprisingly empathetic consoling of Hyung Mi. I had a real good laugh on that meeting room scene of Chief Shin, Manager Jo and Detective Ha when Ha told Shin that he has his eyes on him and moved his chair close to Shin's table. Shin anxiously told Manager Jo that Ha was now openly threatening him! Detective Ha's misunderstood social skills! LOL. Poor Mi Joo!
