Wow what a drama!  Superb rhythm, excellent actors (among others Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae Soo, Gong Yoo), terrifying scenario and completely crazy! . Not to mention the nod to Inside Men and its famous line "Let’s a drink of Maldives at Mojito"

Jeju Island is the background, and from October to December, it's basically Jeju Island's location. Other parts are filmed in Seoul or in a set.

Lee Byung-hun, AFAA Asian Film Excellence Award... "The first Korean actor to win the award"

 

Actor Lee Byung-hun was selected as the winner of the Asian Film Excellence Award at the 'Asia Film Awards' (AFAA). 

 

The Busan International Film Festival said on the 30th that "Lee Byung-hun won the Asian Film Excellence Award at the 15th Asian Film Awards." 

 

The Asia Film Awards was created in 2013 for the development of Asian films. The Hong Kong International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and Tokyo International Film Festival were jointly established. 

 

The Asian Film Excellence Award is given to filmmakers who have achieved outstanding achievements in Asian cinema and culture in general. Byung-Hun Lee was selected as the first recipient of the award in Korea. 

 

Lee Byung-hun has a deep connection with the Asian Film Awards. Lee Byung-hun won the Best Actor trophy twice for 'The Insiders' (2015) and 'The Managers of Namsan' (2020). 

 

Lee Yong-kwan, president of the Busan International Film Festival, said, “Lee Byung-hun is one of the few actors who can raise the quality of a movie just by appearing. 

 

Meanwhile, the Asia Film Awards is held in conjunction with the Busan International Film Festival. The awards ceremony will be held at the Paradise Hotel Busan on the 8th of next month at 8 pm. It will be broadcast live on YouTube and Naver.

The 15th Asian Film Awards (AFA) announced that the winner of this year's "Outstanding Asian Filmmaker Award" is “Inside Men" Korean actor Lee Byung Hun who will attend the awards ceremony to be held in Busan on October 8.

 

The Outstanding Asian Filmmaker Award is designed to recorgnize outstanding filmmakers  and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the Asian film industry and culture.  Lee Byung Hun has been in the movie industry for more than 30 years and has shown outstanding talents in different films produced abroad.  He has performed in Hollywood films “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” and “Magnificent Seven", giving the characters power and vitality.  Lee Byung Hun has won many film awards, including winning the Korean Grand Bell Awards and the Blue Dragon Film Awards for “Inside Men" in 2016.  He has twice won  the Asian Film Awards as Best Actor for “Inside Men" and "The Man Standing Next. ”.
