  1. Random confession: I liked the Season 1 OST more, especially the song 'Memory'. Though I don't understand what she says, and there are no English subs, I still like it. It has a catchy tune. Whatever she is saying, she sounds very passionate. This brings me to my second observation, the song from Season 2, 'Love Again', is it an indication of the 'rebirth' and finding and celebrating 'new' love? On second thoughts, the the music in both S1 and S2 sounds rousing. It is apt, it seems to emulate the tumultuous emotions we feel as we watch the drama unfold. Memory still remains the best song of the series.

  2. Let me start with a caveat. Being a woman, I wish to support another woman, especially one who has been cheated on. However, it is at times difficult to save a drowning man when he himself doesn't want to be saved. This is true for Boo Hye-ryung . She seems to be already looking for greener pastures. She doesn't seem committed to saving her marriage. She is only dictating the terms but there seems to be zero effort made from her side to save the marriage. Does she really love her husband? We have seen previously how hard Lee Si-eun had tried to save her marriage. BHR seems too indifferent. She wants to stay married in name only, I feel. Enjoy the security it offers but feels 'restrained' by the restrictions. She has been flirting around, deliberately provoking, creating opportunities that would lead to her 'fall'. In contrast, we have already seen how different Song Won is from Boo Hye-ryung . She seems to be sorted. She has her head firmly on her shoulders. Mind you, this comes with years of experience. Boo Hye-ryung is young and has much to learn. Does she really have the maturity and stillness that a man looks for in his companion? His anchor in the choppy waters of life? Boo Hye-ryung  is a flighty, young woman at the moment. She has much to learn.

At the same time, I don't think Song Won and Pan Sa-hyeon will  have a happily ever if he does get the divorce. I am not convinced. Yes, an 'accident' has brought them together and because of the life they have created together, they can never really obliterate them from their life/ memories.  Perhaps, they will find happiness in each other. The writers seem to push that thought across by constantly showing the viewers the contrast between the two woman Boo Hye-ryung  and Song Won. Moreover, the fact that she is pregnant and Pan Sa-hyeon seems to be quite seriously smitten with her do go in Song Won's favour. From what I can see, the writers are pushing Song Won and Pan Sa-hyeon as endgame, whether the viewers approve of it or not. They have tried their best to paint the two ladies in contrasting binary colours- black and white, the sinner and the 'innocent' to help the viewers make the choice. It is always upto us, the viewers whether we accept or not. We will of course have strong views and may not agree with what they are shoving  down our throats but the drama is ultimately their 'baby', and they started with a  vision and they will end on the note they have envisioned, in spite of all the backlash they might face. It's kind of dead end.

  3. The ex-boyfriend is a big time jerk. What about consent? She needs his consent to paint her nails, but he doesn't need hers before making an intimate moment public. What a scumbag!

I have a feeling that Park Jae-eon being a player is a red-herring. We didn't actually see him going out with other women. We are all assuming it based on the one sided conversations we heard. Or did I miss something?

Although Na Bi seems to be so flustered in his presence, I unfortunately don't feel any chemistry between the leads. This is a friends with benefits story. So there should be a zing. There are lots of 'tensed' moments but they seem very contrived. I also have a problem with the pace of the drama. Nothing seems to happen. There are just monologues / conversations between the two leads.  I am tempted to drop it already but I will give another few episodes a try before dropping it. We need more than two beautiful faces to keep us hooked. There has to be some kind of action. We seem to be stick in an ennui where there are just internal monologues and conversations between a flustered FL and a ML trying too hard to come across as a bad boy.

Overall, the first impressions aren't that great.

  4. Hello Chingus! Happy Sunday!

@4evrkdrama I watched the first few minutes . I will watch later today. Not writing it off. The ex is such a jerk. Disgusting, manipulative, a glib talker! On one hand I am kind of glad that media is calling out these abusive boyfriends and spreading awareness about 'toxic' relationships. It is high time we stop romanticizing these crazy manipulative  emotional unavailable bad boys. It is giving out a wrong / misleading message to impressionable young minds.

    Spoiler

The ML mistook the FL to be someone else.

  6. I think it would be nice if we get Boo Hye-ryung backstory too like we do for the rest of the characters so that we can understand where she is coming from. We don't get to 'see' much of her. What does she really feel? What makes her mind tick? They show us what every other character is feeling/ thinking. For BHR, we only get to see her professional side. With the 50s husband missing from the scene, we get to know about about her more through her interactions with her children. We even learn about A-Mi / Nam Ga-bin.

  7. Tra-la-la...Finished watching the OBD. 3/4 of the drama was SH. :D Verdict: He doesn't look good crying! :tears: Poor poor SH! I can't believe they didn't give us the meeting of the 50s wife and the mistress. They have been baiting us since last week. Also, no preview for tomorrow's episode? Question: Song Won said that she hadn't even told her friends about the pregnancy but later the three of them are chatting and discussing it. Didn't she throw up at Jeju and revealed her condition to them? Did I miss anything? Also I skipped all the 40s step mom scenes. Except the last one. I couldn't avoid that.

  9. Ah sorry for posting again, but if I don't get this off my chest, I won't be able to sleep tonight. Gawd, it hurts!:tears: My heart is breaking for them both. I can't blame either one of them. I guess as Mark Knopfler says in 'Romeo and Juliet', "When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong, Juliet?" I hate the break-up but I think this is needed to relearn to trust each other, and heal. They need time out to sort themselves first. They have resolved the issues they had but now they need to accept themselves to be who they are.

No Whi-Oh  has already admitted that the source of his anger was he himself. It is now Oh Yeon-Seo turn to accept and forgive herself. She cannot berate herself for a mistake forever. She needs to forgive herself and move on. She is still clinging to the past and the mistake that she made, an error of judgment on her part. Instead of moving out, she needs to stay put, come to terms with everything that had happened and forgive herself.

That ex-boyfriend is a real piece of work.  He should be rotting in the prison forever.

Just one episode left. I hope they reconcile. They are truly made for each other.

  12. I feel so giddy after Ep 10. I can't stop smiling. I love the goofy, awkward romance between the two. It is quite refreshing and relatable. The ahjummas redeemed themselves. I think we all have such nosy ahjummas who are nosy but quintessentially have a good heart.

Can we talk about Jung Woo and his brilliant portrayal of a very relatable guy?  I feel the fact that he has such a guy next door looks that it works so much in favour of him in slice of life dramas.

Oh Yeon-Seo      is perfect for the role. She is strong but vulnerable. Fearless but Fragile. But, she is getting her true self back. No Whi-Oh is the best person  to help her get back on her feet. They are truly Mad Made for Each Other. Off to watch EP 10. This drama is like my guilty pleasure. I savor each episode. It is like  a bowl of delectable ice-cream, the one that you relish every spoonful.

  14. @twinkle_little_star A bbbbbiiiiiiggggg Hi to you, Chingu!

@gm4queen I watched the first episode and I liked it. It is like a breath of fresh air after 'Mine' and 'Love ft Marriage and Divorce'.  I am also planning to watch 'Seen from a Distance, Green Spring' and 'Nevertheless'. Don't ask me how I'll manage to watch them with the already ongoing dramas. I am watching 'Mad For Each Other' and 'Bossam : Steal The Fate'. Ji Sung's new drama is also in the pipeline! I thought I'd begin 'Move to Heaven because of the good reviews once these dramas ended. I should not have ventured into the world of new k-dramas when I already have my hands full.  I was in a kind of lull with nothing to watch. I was re-watching my favourite old dramas and suddenly we are flooded and spoilt for choice.

Too many dramas and too little time. :tears:

  16. @partyon chingu! What ! Not a single question on Sung Hoon, I mean Pan Sa-hyeon,? :crybaby:

I am not sure if anyone is watching 'Mad For Each Other', but it has an interesting/ different take on the 'other' woman  because we are getting the other side of the story, the story of the other women, who unlike these shameless 'other' women, was totally unaware of the married state of the said 'boyfriend' and the kind of ostracization she has been subjected to.

I admit we are always quick to blame the 'other' women but sometimes, they are really blameless, though sadly that cannot be said about any of the 'other' women in the drama. They have consciously entered their illicit relationships and even after knowing the truth of their partners, have continued the relationship.

To me, Shin Yu-shin seems to be the worst kind of cheater. He is willingly deceiving his devoted wife. On the other hand, he is using A-Mi for a brief fling, no feelings, no emotions involved.

At least both Park Hae-ryun and Pan Sa-hyeon admitted to cheating. And Park Hae-ryun had the guts to make a clean break and sever all relationships. Unlike Pan Sa-hyeon who is misleading his wife by promising to do the right thing, but always getting the cold feet, thereby continuing his liaison with Song Won.

So, IMO, the Best Cheater Husband Award goes to *drum roll*(people waiting with bated breath....). ladies and gentlemen, it is none other than our learned professor friend, Park Hae-ryun ! *applause*:piggydance:We welcome you to the 'Hall of Fame' for Cheaters.

Our cutie , whinny  lawyer Pan Sa-hyeon is the First Runner up.

Shin Yu-shin ahjussi is the Second Runner Up.

Congratulations to all the winners. I request all my fellow chingus on this thread who have been bravely putting up with this 'barf' drama, as very lovingly named by two of our chingus @partyon and @Ameera Ali since season  one, to suggest appropriate prizes for our winners.

In case, you disagree and you feel they don't deserve the hard-earned titles, do suggest your 'order' of the recipients of this 'Best Cheater Award'

  17.  @Thong Thin Lady in Dignity was in my suggested watch on Netflix and it is still available. You reckon, I should give it a try? What genre is it?

@Ameera Ali Umm.... that will be taking it too far, chingu.:D I don't like  Pan Sa-hyun 's definition of 'taking care' as he requires a lot of mollycoddling. I can't mother him. In fact, I refuse to mother him.  He looks like a self-sufficient man (referring to his videos where he keeps eating * facepalm) and isn't a picky eater. Seems like an easy going man. Also, we demand more of 100 Days My Prince D.O. gifs, please. He was such an endearing character in the drama.

  19. @Lmangla, @partyon and @Sleepy Owl  That was more difficult than I had initially thought. Too many beautiful, lovely ladies who are also amazing actors. But I was most excited to see Gong Hyo-jin. :omg:I see her name and I click. Her dramas seldom disappoint.

Master's Sun , It's Okay, That's Love , Don't Dare to Dream , When the Camellia Blooms, Pasta  , The Greatest Love and my most favourite of all ,'Thank You'. :heart3:

Hwang Jung-eum and Jang Nara are two other actors who are click baits for me. However, I haven't been much impressed by their recent projects. Hoping to see them with something interesting soon.  #fighting

A recent addition has been Shin Hye-sun. I enjoyed most of her dramas. She is very versatile as an actor just like Gong Hyo-jin. Though she has miles to go before she can reach that caliber but she isn't doing too bad. Looking forward to her future projects. :gangnamstyle:

Then there were One Drama Wonders, who were excellent in a particular drama but not so impressive in others. I never thought it would be this difficult choosing an unnie / noona. :tears: I thought I was only obsessed with oppas/ ahjussis . Theses unnies and noonas are giving my ultimate oppas and ahjussis a run for their money! All the ladies mentioned in the poll rock!:cheers:They all shine in their unique way and with each drama , we are blinded by her charm, and acting prowess. #morepowertoyouladies :heartxoxo:

@Wuzetian I have not watched Historical / Wuxia / XianXia genre (Qin Dynasty /Pillow Book, Romance of Tiger and Rose).  But I have watched Dating in the Kitchen. I had a crush on the ML for some time. I must expand my repertoire and watch different genres as well, especially the ones you mentioned. They sound exciting and I am intrigued. :piggydance:

@joccu On a vacation! That sounds so lovely! Enjoy your vacation. :hooray2:What are you planning to do during your vacation?

@Ameera Ali Stop posting Sung Hoon  gifs please. His floppy hair and those puppy eyes make me go weak in the knees. This is ironic because I am hating his character  so much in Love ft. Marriage and Divorce. Love Sung Hoon and hate Pan Sa-hyun .
