I'm throwing in a wild guess....

Fried Fruit - cempedak, banana

Savoury - coconut drizzle with salt

Something sweet - glaze chocolate

:tounge_wink:

had the same guess. either it is some yam variety or banana (ripe or raw).

fried banana is correct.. its goreng pisang aka banana fritters

savory is wrong.. there is grated cheese on one of the layers of toppings

chocolate syrup is correct.. hersheys

Funky combo with cheese! Wonder how that is?

By the way @sadthe1st @Wuzetian @partyon @Thong Thin I've recently discovered something else I can't stand the smell of, besides durian and stinky tofu. It's chestnut trees, and they're blooming all over right now. Every time I walk by one I'm like:

:Furious:

A far cry from when the chestnuts are roasted on an open fire at Christmastime.

I like banana fritters, though my version would not have toppings. ^_^ Just mashed ripe banana/s, mixed with a few spoons of flour, 2 eggs, a tablespoon of sugar, and a bit of salt.

If there's a fruit I would totally avoid, that would be egg fruit or canistel

I dislike how it smells, and the way it feels in the mouth is just so yucky for me.

Egg fruit...I didnt even know about this fruit...

It seem to me that I have a slightly simplified opinion about fruit...fruit should only be eaten fresh and thats it.

Maybe sometime I will try to fry some fruit.  :D

So far it's working well in Dubai and Northern Emirates. But there are times it can get confusing too, when the area has flyovers or multiple forks, or the map isn't updated.

If the area is already looking shady, then it's time to ask the locals if any, or watch closely the road signs. I won't follow the GPS anymore if it's bringing me to the farm fields or to bodies of water.

The good old Here Maps of Nokia used to be good, and Garmin was quite trustworthy.

@sadthe1st I mash it to cook it faster, plus I avoid as much as possible deep-frying. Would taste similar anyway, hahaha! :P

@rocher22 Hahaha, WYX and Apple! Joking aside, XZ is more versatile IMO as an actor on the roles he can play, compared to WYB.

@MayanEcho  should I need to travel to a place which I'm not familiar, i will get the other

party to give me a popular landmark so that i wont get lost.

I had a very bad experience where it guided me through thick plantations and it takes me like

4-5 hours to reached the destination.

Yeah, like gas stations or a popular eatery or store. Then ask the person to meet you there and travel together.

Well, due to a wrong turn we've experienced travelling in a lonely but well-paved road which doesn't appear (not even named) in the Maps at all. Turns out the area is restricted, but so far the navigator still pointed at the right path to the main road. It was unnerving though cos there was no other vehicle in sight that whole stretch.

I make it flat like pancakes and cook it till a bit brown and crispy at the edges. But yep, not really as crispy. Well, so long that the gremlins would eat, hahaha!

@sweetroad Sell all of the chestnuts at Chinatown and you will be paid hansomely...Now is the preparation session for Dumpling Festival. Chestnuts are high in demand!

@sadthe1st @Thong Thin Hard to find quality Cok Kodok with lots of banana these days...Reminds me of my childhood eating them in the canteen.

@MayanEcho I'm taking a break from dramas and maybe socmed to focus on RL...Dont think there's any good quality dramas at the moment...

A break is a must when it's too much. Soc med for me can sometimes get toxic so going off the grid and no contact is good. Heh, if there can be a break in RL I would have it too, hahaha.

Movies or books if there aren't interesting dramas. Or mangas, manhwas, manhuas. Even crappy story is tolerable while looking at lovely art. ^_^

we rushed over selecting our choice of ice on the bread slice.
