i had some overseas colleagues here for training in sg a few years ago.. we brought some of them (from US, Mexico, Germany and France) to try fresh durians.. these are the ones where the fruit sellers use a knife to pry open fresh durian fruit with the thorny shells.. the response was a huge mixture.. its either, you like it or you hate it.. the first step is always the hardest.. durian flavors are mainly 2 types.. sweet, or bitter sweet.. textures are also mainly 2 types, soft and gooey or firm.. they sank their fingers to take out the durian.. popped into the mouth.. some instantly needed bottled water.. other actually enjoyed it hahaha

 

but you'll be surprised not all asians are a fan of this fruit.. some of my friends hate it.. i have thai colleagues who have never tried the fruit and almost throw up when they tried it..

i'm tempted to say that @partyon has slandered me. 

did I say Yoongi has RBF? Yes

but I also said, he has RBF LIKE ME! It just means when you are zoned out / not particularly doing any kind of expression, you at first look like you are "unfriendly" i suppose. But the minute someone talks to us, we do light up!

I think I will be in the `hate it` category. I never tried but I don`t think I want to try it. I am a person who loves fruits and want to try new fruits  but no durian.

i think SYJ and Yoo Sun presence are able to make any scenes shine.. doesn't matter if there is KYK or not..

yea I had to stop watching. I hate jerky camera movements and weird shots -- they physically make me sick. I hate dramas where they do blink lights and just put on a "epilepsy trigger notice" -- UGH.  it is annoying for people who get headaches as well.

when i first came to visit my friend in sg i wondered why the subway mentioned NO DURIAN!!!!! in big letters and no durian pictures, besides no food LMAO

it was so funny.

 

also she told me that people died due to durian (because it fell on their head like coconut). less fun, that. 

 

i tried some durian, it tasted from consistence like mango but the taste is worse than mango. i wouldnt say it's pukeable. it's just not my fave or not something i'd pay money for

coconuts, brown pears are cooling

mangoes, lychees, jackfruits are heaty wet

 

heaty wet is a term for those that triggers cough with thick phlegm

 

but i'm not too good with identifying sometimes.. i'm just explaining in my own borderline knowledge haha

btw,  saw this raw peanuts this morning & i bought some home.

 

Had to wash & soak in salt water few times to get rid of the soil before I boil it.
